  1. My experiences Firstly Blush Bridal - my first time there, I went as a bridesmaid and the sounding board for my friend the bride. I was told in no uncertain terms, out of earshot of the bride that I was to shut up, this was her day and that I was NOT to have an opinion. I will tell you one thing, the bride and myself had NOTHING good to say to those people. I called to complain to the owner before I made my own appointment - I told her that if ANYONE tells my mother that, I will slap them in the face - Literally - I was SO angry. I'm not a violent girl but how I was treated was awful and if someone dared to treat my mother like that?? gloves would be off. Anyhow - I spoke to the owner....she asked me to email her the details after speaking with her, she didn't call to follow up, she didn't even offer an apology. I tell absolutely everyone I can to NEVER go there. Bisou Bridal - lovely staff and dresses - totally accomodating. I liked the variety - I found my runner up dress there. The space was great and they let us bring in coffee! Bryan's Bridal - they took us in without an appointment which was completely awesome of them. no complaints Clara's Coutour - Great variety and price point - knowledgable staff. Something Blue - When I first went to this shop it is stunning with the ridiculously high ceilings - they carried all sorts of designer dresses from Vera Wang to Jenny Packham (who i LOVE but sadly cannot afford). Now they only carry their house designer line. The lady who was helping me insisted that I try on a particular dress which turned out to be the dress I bought. It looked like nothing on the hanger and she convinced me to do it now I have her to thank for it! They have been so awesome - letting me trying on the dress a bazillion times to make sure I made the right decision before I actually put the deposit down! Ask for Jija if you want to take a look.
  2. OH OH OH OH I found a company in canada that sells them. This company had the bamboo parasols and look pretty durable - they didn't have all the colours I wanted but they've got the paper lanterns that I wanted as well! http://www.hugeweddingsavings-canada.com/ http://www.hugeweddingsavings-canada.com/product/paper-parasol-with-bamboo-boning I'm STOKED
  3. Hey girls Hoping you can help me out. Does anyone know of anywhere in Canada that sells DECENT, NOT GOING TO FALL APART paper parasols in vibrant colours? I don't need any writing on them or any sort of customization - just durable parasols. The shipping from the US is killing me! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
  4. i'm a bit concerned about the sweat issue if i go commando? I know that's a bit gross but a huge concern with silk charmeuse....ACK - what to do....
  5. OF COURSE they're discontinued. And that's hilarious that you based your dress choice on your underwear! LOL
  6. I think I'm going to bring a few options at my next fitting. See how that goes. I'm going to definitely try the commando brand and go a size up
  7. you're absolutely right my "no fun diet'' consists of eating healthy, only whole wheat, brown rice or quinoa for carbs which I almost always try and have before 3pm, tonnes of fruit and veg, watch the portion sizes, no added sugar - that kind of stuff. It's nothing set, it's just a very (plain) simple way of eating! lol. Difficult to do when you have a ridiculous sweet tooth like myself.
  8. It takes a bit to get used to but once you get the hang of placement I think it is. There are a number of reasons why I like it but the top 3 - better for me, better for the environment and better on the wallet - you're not constantly buying tampons!
  9. I'm beginning to feel that the cost of bringing all the extra bags on the plane isn't worth it and I may just paying the over inflated prices of the centerpieces at the resort. I guess it since we're having such a small wedding there's only really 3 centerpieces to be purchased.
  10. ahahahah well, the dress is lined. so it doesn't show the dimples - TRUST me...the first thing I looked for was that! lol... I will consider the COMMANDONESS - I don't think I should whisper that to him during the reception...he may want to take a "walk" right then and there.
  11. Hi Ladies I'd like some advice as to what to wear for "unders'' - my dress is italian silk charmeuse, clingy and is very unforgiving when it comes to pantylines. I've been hearing the underwear brand "commando" is the way to go. Lacey anything is NOT an option. Has anyone tried the "commando" thongs? Does anyone have any suggestions?
  12. I love this product and have been using it for years. was a bit daunted when I first started using it but I will NEVER go back. I keep tampons in the house for only 1 reason - my girlfriends who visit.
  13. I've been told by my trainer to cut out the wheat and dairy (they cause 'THE BLOAT') veggies and protein and fruit - quinoa and brown rice are alright as well but watch the portions.
