  1. I was planning on the tumblers too beacuse they are sooo much easier to pack! Unfortunately they were still on full price for 5.25. It was only the green and blue 32 oz mugs that were on sale and I am thinking it's because they have so much stock left. I had to hunt for the tumblers, all that was left were fairly beat up ones, it's when i priced out the mugs... I am also planning on larger bags from LL Bean so the mugs work out as they will take up a bit more room in the bag. I would think they would do a price adjustment, if not, return them and buy them back. Walmart is fairly leinient about price changes etc...
  2. First of all... I CAN'T believe I am just finding your thread! Second of all... your projects are amazing - as you've been told and I have high respect for a fellow detailed oriented bride, I share your "type A" if you will, meant in the kindest possible way Third of all... if I could quote every single picture I loved I'd probably win an award for the longest post EVER. So I'll focus on these lovelies below. I found this starfish punch in Michaels the other day and purchased it with intentions of doing exactly below for my AHR. Best part of being a DIY'er with an AHR I get to design two parties with different feels to them... Congrats on all of it and like everyone else... I can't wait to see what tomorrow's post will bring
  3. Just added another DIY Porject to my list... Passport welcome books with timeline, activities, and island info inside. All the stuff from our website that guests won't be able to view while on the island... Love the timeline here!
  4. Great Job on these!!! Your guests will love them! Even more so because you made them!
  5. Where are you getting married? Add something "local" to the bags... A common add in is a little wedding hangover kit - advil, peopto, sunscreen, chapstick, etc... You are well on your way! Martha Stewart wedding workbook.txt
  6. I saw the post below about grouping the flowers together, great idea, wondering what program you are using to create these? If you are using powerpoint you can select a background which will give you the faded yellow background she is using... then insert the flowers on top of the background, use a nice frosted vellum and they will light up and look gorgeous! great job!
  7. " I heard that you can return gifts from BB&B for cash. " " ""Where did you hear this?! FI and I made it very clear we wern't going to register and at first everyone was fine with it, we got the it's your wedding phrase... of course now that time has passed a bit I received a bit of heat from FMIL about people who don't register. In our eyes, pick your battles right? People are going to buy us things - although we own the house, have EVERYTHING, and really would ike cash but refuse to ask for it. We have been trying to figure out a place to register so we can return for cash if need be. I know how this sounds as I'm typing it, slightly ungrateful for people giving us gifts but we don't need anything... To preface the "heat" i mentioned from my FMIL, we are having a family only dw and when we return we are having our AHR, this is why she thinks we need to register (of course without directly saying it to me).
  8. My mother has been using this method for years... One I have certainly inherited! Definitely works the best if you can't make it to the jewelry store!!!
  9. Beautiful choice, looks great on the beach! I was thinking of going this route as well.... would love to know who the designer is?!
  10. This is gorgeous on you and the photo looks professional!!! The lighting, the ability to see the back of the dress in the mirror, stunning! Congrats on finding your dress!!!!
  11. Latest version... A few minor changes to be made to the structure of it - the outline needs to be a bit darker so i can see it when cutting, and the purple damask tear off portion is a hair to small compared to the others. Thinking these could be it! Thanks to everyone who has provided feedback, FI and I are pleased with the outcome and far more pleased that I wont be spending $300 on 10 invites!!! As for those who can't see the attachments (including myself), I will be printing soon, once I get back from a wedding this weekend in Jersey, will post pictures soon so all can see, promise!! Double Color - Boarding Pass Invite.pdf
  12. I just put my info through to receive a quote for traveling, we'll see what comes of it! If this is indeed 5% off airfare it will save my guests close to $50 off their ticket! We are not using a TA as we are only traveling with 18... Thanks for the site! Will report back with details
  13. ps. for those US brides lurking and hopping on the bubba bandwagon too... the 32oz mugs are now 3.97 at walmart! I originally bought the tumblers @ $5 but this is a much better deal. Now how to convince FI we are going to travel with 18 mugs
  14. If you didn't want to put on any other dresses then this is definitely your dress! It's beautiful and I am sure very flattering!!! If the dress fits what you envision that go with it, don't we all forsake comfort for fashion at times?! Besides... when are you ever going to be able to wear a dress with a full skirt like this again?!
  15. These are gorgeous! You absolutely have a great photographer!!! Pictures the day of are so important and what a wonderful gift from your parents to fly them down... memories for a lifetime!
  16. This is gorgeous!!!!!! I am so amazed with everything that is on etsy! I never would have know it exisited had it not been for this site. Hours, countless hours I have spent going thru and still find new things to favorite everytime!!!
  17. Thanks Ladies! I need to purchase my sandals but would well imagine it will need to be hemmed a bit when it comes in!!
  18. I would have loved to see this woman's face had I mentioned the TTD session we are doing! She asked me three times about heels, I can only reason by it would make the price of the dress go up by adding extra length, perhaps she was trying to make her quota... Thank You!!!
  19. Thanks!! Certainly is nice too see other tall brides I was a bit concerned myself - height and all... I am wearing very simple sandals and the woman at Pronovias just couldn't wrap her head around the fact that I wasn't wearing heels. She was so concerned that I needed the extra length on the dress even though it is plenty long enough especially for sandals. I attached a picture of my dress, you can see there is plenty of length! The bodice is my favorite part!!
  20. Love the barefoot jewelry! Feeling inspired and may try to make my own! Used to do craft shows and make jewelry when I was younger - can't hurt to try another DIY
  21. You could always contact mavora and see if she can design you one... I know she had palm trees as one of them, there are many designs...
  22. Thanks Tori!! Work in progress for sure. FI likes them, thankfully, I am actually surprised how picky he can be for someone who is so laid back about everything in life (a great balance for us). I do have transparency on the tear off portion, I do need to make it more though so the text does pop as well as the graphics too. I alos have switched the colors around a bit on the tear off portion so it "flows" better. As for the puncutation, it's so weird... I can't see the doubling of commas etc... when I print them they aren't there either (went to staples and had one printed just to see color which is not perfect, I wanted more purple and it's definitely more pink) but when i spell check the extra punc. shows up. Again work in progress... I apprectiate you taking the time to provide me with feedback, round 2 coming soon! Have to go to a wedding this weekend so perhaps next week!
  23. LOVE. Exactly the look I am going for, simple and gorgeous! I am 6' myself.... height does a dress like this justice!
