  1. I am so excited to do the TTD session!!! It's such a great opportunity to spend some fun and intimate time with your husband away from your guests (i know how this sounds but the idea of stealing moments away from everything together, i'm looking forward to it) and the pictures that come from it are amazing!! As for my dress?! Yes it's designer and I don't care! One man, one dress... I'll have it cleaned when I get home (just hope it dries in time as we leave the next day)!
  2. I am on board with all the other ladies here, the best color is with your skin tone. I'm sure you would have noticed that the white was too stark, hence why you ordered it in ivory. Beautiful dress and I bet the ivory adds a soft look to it!
  3. *Swoon* This is my dress To be honest, I am not using the sash on the back - it snaps into the top of the bodice (on the back obviously). It does have a puddle train, but like you I'm not sure I want it dragging through the sand... I really think you need to talk with a trusted, reliable seamstress to see if it can be done. Sometimes what we want isn't always possible due to the cut of the dress. It certainly sounds easy enough but definitely check with the shop/seamstress!!! Either way, its still gorgeous!
  4. Love the map! Where'd you find it?! I am having one hand drawn from Laura Hooper and using it as our "signing board" but will be putting it in bags as part of the welcome booklet!
  5. Not sure how I missed you!!! Yey for another GC Bride!! Sounds very similar to what we are doing, family only, keep it small and intimate!! The ritz does a lovely job from the pictures I've seen! So easy from Florida! Congrats!!!
  6. This is great info! I have heard from so many other brides that shipping has been a nightmare but this makes it sound relatively easy! Despite the cost, it may be worth it! I had planned on packing all my oot stuff into either a duffle or a smaller suitcase and pay the extra baggage fee - generally $90 per bag. Thanks so much!!!
  7. I think the simplicity of it is gorgeous!! Accessories like you mentioned... Perfect! The scarf in the back will blow in the breeze, as for a train, up to you! I'm cutting mine off too... Oh and I think the orchid would look best on the side with the strap, Keep it fluid, just my opinion though!
  8. I'm buying the mini rum cakes while we are down there, the factory is right near Celebrations office in the micro centre. There is also a local company that produces sea salts, either for food or bath salts, will be including those as well. http://www.caymanseasalt.com/home.html You might have seen I purchased Tote Bags from lands end. To fill them I'm doing bubba kegs so guests can bring drinks to the beach from their villa and stays cold, going to have some golf balls personalized for my fbil and ffil, considering frisbees, definitely deck of cards, puzzle books, snacks everything you listed above. Planning on picking up the local magazines for the bags too... I know I'm forgetting stuff, my lists keeps growing! I only have to make 9 so I can spend a little extra on them...
  9. Laura!!! How was your trip?! Did you love the Caribbean Club? Which villas are you renting anyways? Did you eat at Hemingways? That is the one at GCBS right? We took a peak inside there and really liked the layout, especially the patio! Thanks for starting teh thread on OOT Bags, I'm in the process of putting mine together now!
  10. I found magnets like this on Etsy and had every intention of ordering but thanks to you and your link/instructions, you just saved me a bunch of $$$ Thank you so much! Your's came out great and can't wait to make my own!!
  11. Love your dress and pretty sure I said so over on the other board As for your invites... Gorgeous!!! Great color combo!
  12. Hey Alli! I have seen it most as bride then groom so in your case ASJ... Although I don't think it really matters, your preference but all announcements and invitations are usually done bride then groom
  13. The view form the wharf is amazing with the sunset and all! Gorgeous property too! Do you have a date? Love Crystal Blue, so great to have so many inspirations all from GC in one place!!!
  14. There's only a few of us here!!! Where are you getting married?!
  15. Hi Ladies! I have found so many good suggestions on so many different threads about items in Michael's to put into your OOT Bags or items to DIY stuff with for either your DW or your AHR... Thought it would be great to share in one thread! Personally I am in the process of hoarding items for my OOT bags and picking stuff up daily! My latest finds from Michaels include (all purchased within the last week): Kids Sand Toys $.69 each on clearance (I have two young nephews) Deck of cards $1.50 Nail Files $1.50 (had to share a picture, too cute not too) If you have a great find and want to share with all the other Brides here, Please do!!!!
  16. 2 for $5 !!!!! Missed opportunity. What a great deal! I also missed the dollartree tote bags ... I only have to make 9 bags so it allows me to splurge a little bit extra. I was able to get med canvas totes at $13 a piece, couldn't pass it up!
  17. These look great!!! Are they "stretchy" made of elastic? Love the colors! btw I have a tattoo on the same foot, same place as you...
  18. scratch on that last post... saw the roundtip needlenose today! Makes much more sense now!!
  19. Oh and btw.... I was thinking further today about your design (who's the creeper now?!) and wow is your dress going to make a statement against everything else! It will be spectacular!!! I can not wait to see photos!!! Is it Feb yet?!
  20. You are too funny! Thankfully my new last name will be with an R! For the monogram because it is going on our invites I didn't want to use an R in the center as we won't be married yet, perhaps a bit old school but... I had wanted to capitalize S&S but it looked funny so I just used the one and well that's where I ended... Still a work in progress of course! Oh and the font is Mutlu something... found it on dafont. Only big scripty S I could find... Anywho.. Thank you for the extra pictures! I definitely have the one with the stones saved, thinking perhaps for my cocktail hour tables but may way to do just purple instead... still have time for that decision but I've now saved the others into my folder! Thanks again!!
  21. Combine a beautiful bride, gorgeous dress and amazing photographer - voila! Congrats on your day you must be thrilled to be married of course but to have such amazing memories in print!!!

Heard the same story over and over, I came down and just haven't left... Thes island is so clean and sooo gorgeous! So tempting...
  23. These are gorgeous and photograph beautifully!!! I keep reminding myself, no heels, but now I'm thinking well I could have a pair for portraits and then have flats for the rest of the night when FI is around...
