  1. I totally see where you are going with this...have you considered a fascinator w/ some seashells? www.unveiledbridaldesigns.com may be able to give you some inspiration, check em' out! I love when brides step out of the norm!!
  2. Hi lesee Try www.fascinatorstoronto.com prices start at $39. Happy shopping and congratulations!!
  3. Hi JennW818, try www.casualmale.com Type in Axis Linen Pant in the search window, see if those will work for your bro. They have size 54. Good luck
  4. LOVE those dresses! They are soo comfy and multi functional. They also look great on most shapes. Some awesome jewelery, hair and make-up and your girls are all set. Plus! they can use them again, great choice
  5. Fake is also nice because it is a great keepsake. You could maybe pass it on to someone for their wedding (something borrowed) or swag some tulle over your new born babies crib and put your flower in the center or wear it again on your 1 year anniversary?? The possibilities are endless.
  6. Hi cricket2168, You dont need to get the glued in extensions, especially if you are going to have an up-do. Also, dont worry about getting asian hair, any human hair that is straight will do just fine. What I do suggest is buying a weft of hair and not the clip-ins for your up-do. If you buy a weft your stylist can build volume and has more control. You can absolutley highlight your hair just be sure to take your extensions with you so your colorist can do a color match. Extensions arent usually something I would recommend buying online unless you know exactly what you want. You should always go in and see them for yourself...check the texture, color and density of the extensions.
  7. I love this convertable dress. It is flattering on most shapes and bridesmaids can rewear it.
  8. OMG! TOOOOO funny, Im still laughing...
  9. Hope this helps...www.hacienda-del-secreto.com If not, I would recommend contacting Gabby ([email protected]) she may be able to point you in the right direction.
  10. Hi sxcT! You are right up my alley...now were talking!! You gotta check out The Hairshoppe (www.hairpiece.com) in Santa Ana. I go to the one in L.A. but they are owned and operated by the same owners. The store is AMAZING! Tons and tons of extensions and other gizmos and gadgets for hair. Depending on the style you decide on for your big day you will either want the clip-ins (great for 1/2 up 1/2 down and all down styles) or the wefts (great for up-do's and chignons). They carry an array of colors but there may be a slight chance you will want your colorist to do a color-match. I always cut my clients extensions to blend them. I personally dont like when you can see the obvious demarcation of the extension and real hair(kinda reminds me of Paris Hilton back in the day). The hair is 100% human so chemical services will not harm them. They are a great investment just be sure to treat them as you would your own hair. Many girls think they can just put them back in the box after they use them...NOT! Shampoo, condition, detangle and dry them...a little moroccan oil never hurt anyone either. They will give you many years of great hair if you do so Have fun and good luck!!
  11. I may but will not have an answer for you until next week. I am going to a function this Sunday and they will have a reggae band. I can find out if the band does weddings and will pm you the info.
  12. Your name is not lovelylady for nothing...that is very kind of you to be so generous.
  13. I have worked with them on more than one occassion and must say...they are amazing! Mango Productions is a professional, modern and affordable photo/videography company.
  14. I am assuming the past bride and my bride next week has paid the vendor fee herself, it has never been brought to my attention. I personally can do hair and make-up for the bride plus two additional guests. If I take an assistant, I can do the bride plus 5-6 guests (taking into consideration the start time of your wedding and the time your guests are willing to get started).
  15. Yes, as a matter of fact I am booked next weekend at Moon Palace.
  16. YUM!!! But if youre feeling super lazy, Fresh and Easy has some great pre-made curry sauces. I always stock up before coming to Cancun
  17. It really depends on how thick/course your hair is. The first few times you get waxed generally lasts 3 weeks. The more often you get waxed the finer your hair grows in and the longer you can go between visits.
  18. Hi Tennyt1! Every make-up artist and make-up company differ from one another. Each offering something all their own. IMHO there is no such thing as "better" when you have an experienced, licensed professional who is applying professional products. It is simply a matter of what you are looking for in a licensed artist. I use MAC and LOVE their products but could never commit to just them. I have favorites in MANY lines. I would do a trial run with both stores and take pictures of your make-up inspiration. MAC does charge a nominal fee and you can never go wrong with their shadows Sephora has more than one line and can offer you great choices as well.
  19. DiamondGirl, Im sure you do! I see you are marrying your best friend October 8, 2011 We def intend to do this again so stay posted. Nice bling by the way!
  20. Without knowing an exact budget it is hard to say. Have you checked with Lori (www.sweetfirephotography)? Just beware of vendors who are way below the norm, you want a professional who is punctual (and sober), delivers what they promise and has experience. All the best
  21. That is great to hear Yazmin! Please, keep us posted. Many brides are on a budget (as most of us are) but do not realize when they are getting discount prices many times the work is discounted. When choosing a professional you should not only take into consideration the price but the education, experience, quality, customer service and true interest in you and their art. All the best to you B2B!!
  22. Hi vlynnw! I personally do not use airbrush for weddings. There is so much new technology, airbrush is a bit out dated. I use High Definition make-up. I love it because it gives you great coverage and you dont have that "made up" look. HD make-up is made for cameras and lights. The granules in the makeup help reflect light and give you a beautiful, healthy, shimmering glow without looking oily. Also, the make up does not seep into your pores so you do not get a thick look. HD is long lasting and comes in waterproof formulas as well. With a spritz of make-up stay (like hair spray for make-up) you are camera ready all day. I hope this helps
