I guess the bottom line is why you think it gives off the wrong impression. If you prefer white gold and your hunny got you yellow gold would he have picked out something that you would love or something he'd prefer? Maybe there is a compromise in there with the black onyx in the middle instead of the whole band, but unless there is some truly negative reason not to have the black band, I don't see why he shouldn't have what he wants it's his wedding too, right?

We are debating between 10 or 14 days. We are getting married on a Tuesday and have to be at the resort 2 business days before. So we are thinking Friday to Friday for 2 weeks and that will get us a little bit of a time to come back and relax before having to go back to work. We sent out our STD's last week, now it is just a waiting game.

My FI's father isn't going to our wedding. Since we invited all of his siblings we are curious because we think he might end up changing his mind and we are not sure how we will feel about it. It would be great if he goes but I don't want him to go because he feels obligated since his siblings are going. It's a difficult situation. We have a TON of people we've invited over 100 and plenty of them state that they will be going, and I still have 13 months to go, but I don't have anyone confirmed and I think I will feel better when someone puts $ down and then I will feel okay no matter what.

We confirmed our date April 17, 2012 at the Moon Palace. Our boarding pass STD's were a huge hit with everyone, and we just went to a family wedding last night and a lot of his aunts and uncles who we weren't sure would go are very excited about going, so that is a big YAY. We will be taking a break for a while for making things. We figure out invites will go out in May/June when flights can be arranged. I think I might still format things that I want to make, but I feel good about what I have done so far.

I'm ridiculously anal about it. I have half my OOT bags done even though I know I have purchased too many or too little. Things I know I can buy more of I bought 10 of and things that I found a rockin' deal on I bought 20. But I am buying things that will be useful in my day to day life too so I don't feel so crazy. Even though I want to order my actual bags now I know that I have to wait until way closer. It sucks because i want to have as much done as possible by January 1, 2012 so that FI and I can take the next 4 months and just chill.

Okay, so I'm on my way, my date is confirmed April 17, 2012. Yay! Working on my final details of my contract, they have the time wrong, and by the time I received it; it was already already expired. *sigh* I think that was our fault because of the family drama that has been going on with FI's family we had a slight delay with getting everything done by the dates we had planned. Oh well, they never said a DW would be easy. I am so excited to see your pics and everything Mocha, April in Cancun so excited!

Krsmith weren't you experiencing somewhat similar issues when you were trying to your at home wedding which is why you switched to the DW? People are funny, I know that a lot of people will not come. We knew that going into this, but my FFIL is not going. He has the $$ he is willing to give us $5000.00 for this but he still won't go. I'm not sure what pocket to put that in, but it is out there now. He says since he went to my FSIL wedding @ Beach Palace that this isn't his type of vacation so he won't go back. Again, it's all about him right? I hope that I will be thrilled to bits by who does choose to go, and I hope more people than I expect will go, but if they don't oh well They will be SUPER jealous of the amazing pictures and the stories we will have to tell

I'm in the same boat right now, we just sent out our STD's this past weekend, and the first round we sent to our closest family members excluding FI's dad because he already told us he wouldn't be going so he got sent in the last batch. We are getting married on a Tuesday as well, and the way I figure it, by getting married on a Tuesday it allows people to not have to spend a Saturday night if they don't want to. I am however having the panic moments that no one will go, but I think I will feel that way until I know for sure that people have started booking, but I am not going to let them stress me out because I chose to have a DW to spend quality time with the people who choose to be there to celebrate with us, so that is all there is to it.
