I'm using Juan Navarro photography and Cancun Wedding Video for video. For what I needed, they had the best pricing and I love their work. I'm using the spa. I've heard that as long as you provide detailed pictures, you will get what you want. I plan on having someone here do my bridal hair and makeup, taking pictures and bringing the makeup down with me to Mexico. I booked Doremixx, I wanted Ivan but he's not available. I've heard the best about them. But you are right, big $$$.

Wow - awesome job! I'm about halfway to my ultimate goal (16lbs lost, would like to lose about 14-15 more) but December has been a super struggle for me with my weight loss journey. I've been stress eating (had a death in the family), drinking like a fish, not tracking my food and certainly not working out like I should. I just keep telling myself "but my wedding is 4 months away still" - I need to stop using that as an excuse. Big attitude change for me starting today!

We are at 50+ - which is probably the largest I've seen thus far. I'd be interested in this info, also.

I LOVE hearing this! Ana, my coordinator, just emailed me last night that we can mix and match menu items. I wrote her back asking for more clarification, so we'll see what she says. Was there an upcharge to do the long tables vs the round ones?

Hi everyone! Well, I think we have our core group for the wedding booked. There are a couple of people who may be adding a guest to their room, but other than that - Bride & Groom plus 46 booked! My wedding coordinator actually sent me a message last night saying that April is considered "high season" and that we need to have all of our guests book asap, or they may not have rooms available. Thank God for my travel agent! Has anyone given thought to their menu for the reception? I was thinking the spinach souffle salad, the red snapper & the beef filet for the main courses, and then either the baked pear or the cannoli trio for dessert.

On the first night everyone gets in, I plan on doing a little get-together to give out the welcome bags, etc. I don't want to do a formal welcome dinner, but was thinking of just drinks at a bar or lounge - any recommendations? I know others have done it. We have a group of about 50, so anywhere that would work?

I'm paying the Vendor Fee for my photographer and then for my videographer. If you meet Marvin outside, you can avoid the vendor fee (from what I've heard). You will just have to have someone from your group set up your flowers. Also, this is why I'm going to the spa for my hair & makeup.

Probably a dumb question but... ... when doing your seating chart, do you map an actual seat for your photographer/videographer/etc? I know I have to 'buy a meal' for them, but wasn't sure if they needed an actual seat.

So, I had my weigh-in this morning and I was down 0.9lbs, for 16.2lbs total! That's the biggest loss I've had in a while, and this was such an "off" week for me - no workouts or anything.
