  1. I got the same email... I just just bite the bullet and go for it since I'm not too sure what stock and deals will be around later.....
  2. I expect a lot of bookworms too! this is a great idea.. *still short on posts though!
  3. Has anyone had first hand experience yet that can share what they would recommend? I'm hoping to save money by using a sticker versus imprinting. Thanks in advance!
  4. Thanks for the link Jessica! This is the cheapest I've seen clutches $15 is an awesome price for those! I think I'm going to contact him now!
  5. Hi Sarah, There's a lot of other threads on the same topic but it takes a while searching through them. Some helpful info you'll find in some of the brides planning threads so you really gotta dig for information. Another good thread is 'where to shop for OOT bags in Canada' or something similar, I'm going through the same thing, debating on going through discountmugs or a local business. Ironically the Canadian prices are a bit higher and I've read in other threads that one Canadian company orders from discountmugs so might as well cut out the middle man. Ship to a US address if you can, it cuts the costs significantly!!! I need to order a lot of things for my OOT bag too so that's why I wanna be sure I'm going to get the best price possible for everything. Here's a site that I've recently gotten a quote from, they're in the GTA (Brampton): http://www.crossbridgeprinting.com/category.php?cat=453 Hope it helps! Good luck!!
  6. PBP - Hey! You're from Toronto too..... For me, tracking everyone (100ppl) down and personally delivering them across Markham to Oakville to people who might end up "forgetting" them is more hassle IMO. I think our plan is to try to arrive at the airport FIRST *if that's possible* and check-in our luggages, but stay in the departures area by the Air Transat lineups greeting everyone as they arrive at the airport and giving it to them prior to them checking in, so they can stuff it in their bags or hand carry them. I'm really trying hard not to go nuts and not fill them up, but I'm sure the mugs will take up a lot of room as it is.... but I also like your idea of giving the bags first and the mugs after at the resort, this way I can get cheaper/smaller bags to hand the stuff out in and abandon the whole beach/tote bag concept. UGH! the dilemma! I've also read other threads where brides have packed huge rubbermaid plastic tubs and paid extra luggage handling fees, etc. Depending on how much it costs, this could be another option.
  7. Love the jute bags and mugs! You really went all out and stuffed it with lots of goodies!! Mind me asking how many people/bags you had to make and how much on avg each bag came out to? I'm starting to find out that it all ADDS UP quickly and I've doubled my budget already?!?! Your list helps me focus on the really useful stuff! Thanks!
  8. My Bouquet inspiration My MOH/Bridesmaids will be wearing Coral/Papaya colored dresses
  9. How ironic... I'm watching the movie "Bride Wars" on TV right now!?!? LOL I think I agree with you Beachbridein11 - Although a wedding is the bride's day, it's just as important for my family and people I want in my wedding to be available - so naturally if I were your friend and wanted you to be a bridesmaid, then I would look at more venues for alternate possibilities as well..... unless, she's like one of these "girlfriends" in the movie and have a secret vendetta against another fellow bride?? * its crazy how some bridezillas could be!
  10. Hi Razzy! I'm in the same boat as you are! Although I haven't yet ordered my mugs, I will be ordering 100! Now I know I can expect 4-5 boxes!! OMG So I've opted to "greet" our guests at the airport with their welcome bags before they check in, since about 80% of them are flying out of Toronto with us.... makes it easier for me, but might be a bit last minute for my guests to stuff them into their carry-on's or luggages!! LOL I'm also thankful that my airline allows extra weight/extra luggage for the bride/groom, but I didn't want to haul a whole luggage full of stuff and be stuck with an empty one coming home (*I wish 80 OOT bags fit in a duffel bag that collapses!).... this is the best 'plan' I've come up with so far! I've also bought flipflops for the wedding reception *dancing shoes!* and am getting my family/sisters to bring/pack 10 pairs each for me!! It's going to be a packing nightmare
  11. I've had the same thing happen but it was my FMIL who was inviting the entire world thinking that since it was an AI vacation that my FI and I don't pay for anything since everything is already included?!?! Ummmm NOO how could someone even assume that? My family has been to a few so I think the know how much it still ends up costing the bride/groom..... Not to mention that we're having our wedding at a totally different hotel (not all inclusive!) and paying an arm and a leg for everything including dinner and open bar per head for about 100 guests!! Siiiiigh *vent session* LOL
  12. lookin great ladies!! Only 6 more months to go!!
  13. I absolutely LOVE this idea!! I've never seen it at any other wedding I've been to before! I wasn't even planning on doing a guest book simply for the reason that we don't care for one nor do we think we'd look back at what everyone wrote, but if I did do one it would be this!! *Vistaprint can be used to put the 'instructions' on one side and the guest notes on the back!!
  14. Pictures of the ones I got.... *I'm pretty sure I cleaned out all the common sizes, I ordered 90+!!! LOL LOVE For the ladies and plain white for the men
  15. I wish I knew about partyflops.com before ordering from Old Navy. I must say I did get a good deal with paying 0.97 cents for the womens and $2 for mens. I basically 'guestimated' everyone's sizes and ordered accordingly + i found a coupon for 20% off + free shipping so it was still very cheap! Anyone have a general idea how much a pair of partyflops costs? I can't find prices listed on their website but I can't help but be curious.....
  16. Thanks for this! I'm going to put in an order soon too! You're so generous to share the coupon code too!!
  17. LOVE the back of your dress.... mine is very similar!! ;-)
  18. I absolutely love your gown remdog!! Please post pictures of you when you get it and I'd be curious to know how the knock-off compared?!?
  19. *sorry I meant glad I found this thread (not forum)! I'd be curious to know if anyone else out there has used these sites before and how their guests took it.
  20. Glad I found this forum! My FI and I were considering having a honeymoon registry and he joked about "WISHING" there was a thing as a cash donation website for weddings, so that we don't have a pre-select a date, place, hotel, activites, and excursions. Due to the size of our wedding we're not sure if we're going to be able to afford a honeymoon anymore, so this would be SOOO nice!!! I'm thinking of doing it, but have the same reservations. I also don't expect money for our wedding gift per se, but it would totally be suitable to have this on my bridal shower invitation!! That's the best way I thought of to get around asking for money when people are already spending over 1K for the DW.
