  1. Thanks again everyone..... and that's why I originally fell in love with it as well. I
  2. That would be great! Where is she located exactly? The bridal store is claiming they can do almost anything I'd want to the dress also, but I don't know what they will charge me, so it'd be nice to have someone else to ask if I need to.
  3. Hi Avens, Thanks for sharing the link, but it seems to open up as a Suit/clothing deal rather than the Photobook one since I'm from the GTA. Which part of Canada are you from? Is it exclusive per Province?
  4. LOVE your dress perry1217!! I love the spanish flair too, and thanks for the advice you gave me on my own dress.
  5. Thanks everyone! I don't have a template of my own invitation but I have others that I've got from other BDW brides in this forum. If you want those PM me your email address and I'll send em to you
  6. I absolutely LOVE your welcome books!! Would you be able to share your template? thanks!
  7. Is this valid for the US only? I tried clicking it but can't find the coupon
  8. Thanks to everyone for their input! I truly think it was meant to be.... and I will definitely ROCK the dress as best I can!! Can't wait to see the outcome of my appointment next Friday! I hope I leave the store IN LOVE with my gown again.
  9. I wouldn't know what type its called but I'll ask my cousin.... Imagine something like pebbled looking cardstock, if that makes any sence. After printing on it, it looks like leather!!!
  10. OK Ladies.... I guess it's OFFICIAL!! I'm KEEPING my dress..... the store that had the Evelyn SOLD their sample and a new one can be ordered but it would be cutting it WAAAAAY too close to my wedding day leaving very little time for alterations.... SO I've booked my first officialy fitting for my dress next Friday to see how I can change it up a bit. *I didn't get any offers on my dress anyways! Oh well!!
  11. I went and took notes of EVERYTHING on the resort so I can add the info in my welcome booklets (ie: restaurants, schedule of activities, even the special names for BAR DRINKS!!) Also get to know AS MANY MANAGERS as you can.... LOL hopefully they'll remember you when you come back for your wedding and give you TOP NOTCH service!! If you can, also grab brochures, maps, tour info, etc that you can use to stuff your welcome bags!!! In terms of inspecting your ceremony site: just try to envision your BIG day and how you'd want things. Ask as many questions possible, ask for all your alternative options if something they show you isn't what you thought it would be, and always negotiate!! My hotel is giving me a priviate welcome dinner for ~90-100 guests FREE!!! *I know its an AI resort anyway, but private dinners usually require a rental fee and wait/bar staff charges, etc.
  12. I absolutely LOVE the way my passport invitations turned out!! They reeeallly look like real leather passports!!! My invites were designed by my cousin and her husband, they have a small invitation printing/design company called ARMR designs. I provided them with a couple of templates that I had got from fellow BDW brides and incorporated a few other ideas. Here it is!! Page 1 - our JR monogram Page 2-3 - Passport Page & Formal Invitation Page 4&5 - Hotel Info Page 6-7 REAL passport look + ivory linen envelopes I LOVE!
  13. Unfortunately it looks like its still not working *the header/magazine title still doesn't save properly
  14. I think eBay is still the cheapest I've been able to find and I'm from Canada.... http://shop.ebay.ca/gcishoponline/m.html this store is from China but they're prices and shipping is really reasonable!!
  15. I too am biased and having my own dress dilemmas!! LOL *I vote for #2!!! Can't believe you got it off eBay!?!?! How much!!??
  16. I agree.. and that's exactly what I'd want to replicate and change the top of my dress to be like this but I'm not sure if they can this corset lining sucked everything up nicely and the waistline looked sleek.... I agree with you on the "BULK" factor too.... but nevertheless still a gorgeous gown for anyone who might be interested!! Thanks Quote: Originally Posted by krsmith I think they are both absolutely gorgeous, but I like the Demetrios dress better. I think it flatters you more. I think the ruffles maybe add a little bulk to you. BUT either one you chose, you will look PHENOMENAL!

  18. Thanks Avens... I know a lot of the other brides preferred the ruffles too!! *I'm soooo torn and like I said its not like I'm ending up with a horrible dress!!! I do/will LOVE it *again*
  19. I wanna echo those who have also had BAD experiences with promopays.ca As other brides have posted, their website looks great and has great prices but to this day NO ONE has written back to any one of my 3-4 emails for quotes...... DO NOT BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME.
  20. Cool thanks for the tip Carly! I just realized that I probably should have posted a new thread in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum instead.... OH WELL Anyways here are more pictures: ALLURE 8705 *Looking for at least $720 OBO The back/train of the dress - MORE ruffles!!!
