  1. Yeah, I have a few issues on my Mac too (although that may just be because my computer is around 4 years old and on its last leg)... But you can't beat the price! =) Would love to see your logo etc. when you get them done!
  2. What's the age range/demographics on the crowd (besides adult)? If there are older people, they might be fans of the classics (even though I'm pretty young, I've always loved old movies). Ideas: Casablanca, Singin' in the Rain, My Fair Lady... Or my favorite not quite as old movies: Back to the Future, Usual Suspects, Ten Things I Hate About You
  3. I was wondering the same thing! Thanks rosieposie; I'll check it out!
  4. Congrats and welcome! I'm sure anywhere you have it in Hawaii will be beautiful! Definitely check out the Hawaii section of the site. Good luck with all your planning!
  5. Congrats! I think you should wear something that makes you feel beautiful! And every bride is beautiful on her wedding day. =) Good luck! I see it's only a couple of days away!
  6. Welcome bartmanb! I know for a fact that you are not the only groom on here because my fiance lurks around...he just never posts :-( . I would guess that there are some more guys doing the same thing. Haha... Anyhow, I think it makes sense that you're excited. Instead of a regular wedding, you're gonna have one in paradise! Good luck with all your planning!
  7. That sounds great! Hawaii will be wonderful! Lots of good resources on this site, and everyone is super helpful. Best of luck with your planning!
  8. In my experience, you can do some basic graphic design work (other than photo editing) with it, but you'd probably be better off with different software if you want to do much more than that. On a side note, the website aviary.com provides a free, online tool for doing graphic work (similar to Illustrator). You might try it out.
  9. What a stupid thing for your coworker to say! Everyone wants a wedding that is unique and personal to them and their lives--this is your chance to do that! My mom will be walking me down the aisle, since she raised me mostly on her own. No one will be "giving me away." There are lots of wedding traditions, but I think you should only worry about keeping the traditions that make sense for your wedding. The wedding is a celebration of the bond you and your fiance share, and the life you'll be making together. Your coworker's opinions just won't make a bit of difference in that life. =)
  10. new kids on the block: the 1990s
  11. Congrats and welcome! DR will be great! Good luck with your planning!
  12. Shannon, welcome! I'd recommend checking out the wedding reviews sub-forum on the site. Lots of brides on here have used each of those resorts, and I'm sure there would be some helpful reviews with lots of specific details that might help you choose. Good luck!
  13. Congrats, Leigh! Happy to welcome more Cancun brides to the forum!
  14. That's a cool idea...I'm gonna get my fiance to look into it. (He needs to be put to work, haha...) =)
  15. Those are very funny! I need to start saving all the good ideas I see on here. =)
  16. Very nice dress! I'm on the fence about paying for the dress. Very interested in hearing everyone's thoughts!
  17. Hi Katie, welcome to the forum! If you do a search on "Catholic," I'm sure you'll find a lot of people who have looked into Catholic ceremonies. We found several options in the Riviera Maya area of Mexico, but I'm certain there are tons of possibilities throughout the Caribbean. Best of luck!
