  1. Thankyou everyone..... what are your thoughts on strapless bras? I hate them usually, but think i´m going to need one under the frock. Trouble is they´re so uncomfortable, and they usually end up round my waist anyway. Anyone got an amazing magical bra to recommend?

After two kids and two c-sections, I can' seem to get this little pooch to go away! Exercise..... That is a foreign word to me, but I think I´m going to have to take the plunge and start working out, might put it off til september though, when it cools down a bit, (any excuse). I keep telling myself i don´t have time to exercise, although if i spent a bit less time on the intenet.......
  3. I don´t know what it´s called, but there´s a song that gets played at every wedding where you all have to sit in a line inbetween each others legs and lean from side to side banging your hands on the floor. KWIM? That is DEFINITELY not getting played at my wedding, (although maybe that´s just an english thing, any they won´t have heard of it in mexico)
  4. The dress i´ll be wearing is a royal blue/purple colour, so i´m thinking of having my daughter in fuschia, my shoes and a hair flower in fuschia, then purple, fuschia and lime green flowers and decorations. Just got to work out how to get everything to mexico with 23kg luggage allowance!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. hahaha, i hadn´t had any breakfast when that was taken! (and that is what the artful draping is for over the belly!) thanks, i was starting to wonder if i maybe wanted a big white dress afterall, then i put it on and fell in love with it all over again..... next step, learn to walk in heels....
  6. We´re spending the whole two weeks with friends and family, although we might see if we can have a couple of nights in one of the other riu´s on the resort..... at least that way there are plenty of other people to look after the kids so we can maybe have a couple of days peace!
  7. oooooooops sorry! so big! will have to work on this photobucket business...... going to have it taken up to about my knees i think. What do you think?
  8. ok this is the first time i´ve tried posting a picture, hope it works..... this is the dress i´m planning to get married in.

I'll just sit in my corner and nibble on my carrot sticks and drink my Vitamin Water...hee hee... I'm going to take my dress in for alterations in October, I think. That means I have to be at my final weight so I don't have to get it altered again. Eek! Wish me luck! mmmmmmm..... carrot sticks and water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every time i get the munchies i have a cup of green tea, and i don´t even like the stuff!
  11. I went to try my dress on again today, it´s two sizes too big and she´s not altering it til september, by which time i hope to have lost my weight (running around like a blue-arsed fly in 40degrees has got to help, right?) then i´ve just got to KEEP it off til January. Not easy when my other half is built like a racing snake and can eat whatever he wants...... he´s munching sausage rolls in the lounge, i´m hiding in the kitchen!
  12. We´re getting married on a wednesday, bang in the middle of our holiday, that´s just the way it worked out with the flights though, i wouldn´t have minded what day it was!
  13. Wow, your wedding was beautiful, and you looked absolutely stunning. Congratulations.
  14. I agree with a j mitchell, karen your hair looks amazing, now if i can only grow mine another 12 inches before january!!!!!!
  15. HaHaHa, I can´t get enough of it either, we have a laptop behind the bar at work, and I have customers constantly interrupting me......... how rude!
  16. Both gorgeous dresses soon-to-be-mcrea! Nicy you make me laugh, every day i count another day off and tell fi how long we´ve got left!
  17. My dress cost 300€, which i think works out about 400 USD? That includes alteration, as the only one they had was European size 46. It's not a wedding dress though, I tried on heaps of expensive wedding dresses, and finally settled on a strapless chiffon purple cocktail dress, I feel much more like me in it!
  18. My dress is a bright purple/royal blue, and i´m thinking about fushia with lime green accents to go with it.
  19. Bonjour peeps! It´s been yonks since i´ve been on here, work has gone mental, working 7 days a week now, and it´s so hot!!!! But now i have the benefit of a kidney infection so i´ve got a couple of days of work..... Have finally bought a dress, but not a wedding dress. I tried loads on, and i just felt like a numpty in all of them. Long dresses are just not me, so as i was walking through one of the villages near where we live i saw a gorgeous royal blue/purple dress in the window of a shop, tried it on the next day and loved it.... it´s strapless and beaded and floaty knee-length chiffon and i loved it as soon as i put it on. Plus it only cost 300€, bonus! And they will alter it for free. It doesn´t matter that I´m not wearing white right? We don´t generally do things that traditionally anyway and i reckon bright purple will look great with all the green of the gardens and the fushia flowers i´d like. Nice to be back! Jo
  20. I love 'Unbelieveable' by Craig David, and LOVE LOVE LOVE 'I'm Yours' by Jason Mraz. Hadn't thought of having a different song for my bridesmaid, she´s my 9yr old, so i may just walk down with her and my dad together....
