  1. Michelle - with regards to the witnesses I thought they couldnt be related to you or your partner ie; no blood relatives. We have FIs step father, step mother, my brothers girlfriend and my aunts husband. In our wedding pack it says you can hire local people for a fee - lol! When I went to Sri Lanka a few years ago me and my partner at the time were witnesses to another british couple getting married out there as they went out on their own.
  2. I think a welcome cocktail is enough with an optional excursion if you really want to organise an activitiy. As remember this is a break for them as well - they may want to just relax. So if you do plan one I think just a mention it is 'optional' would help :-)
  3. Just to let you know the hotel photographer is now http://www.ilgruppodigitale.com/ - I dont have any prices of anything. But thought it might up date the records for this hotel. x
  4. I am all booked for 24th Jan but Elena still doesnt have the pricing for extras for next year!
  5. Your shoes look lovely! Suddenly I feel like I am getting married............... booked our photographer today I think its made it all seems so more real. Also delivering the AHR invites on Saturday as we need a response by 24th Dec for confirmed numbers. OMG its all really real and I have so much to do with not a lot of dollar - arrrggghhhh. I've only had a year to plan - lol. Michelle - well done on the weight loss x
  6. Glad to hear this as we have booked the cheapest package - we booked him today - woo hoo! (24th Jan) As we are travelling from the UK we wanted to be able to have the pictures to take home with us which he has said he can do. x
  7. Kerry - I know what you mean about the tiara I didnt want one of the 'crown' ones and got mine at the wedding fayre in Feb this year they are really great for things like that. I have got my 2 BMs a couple of gifts; ie; a luggage tag and manicure set each but wanted to give them something personalised but nothing too expensive as we have already got them their dresses, shoes and earrings! So I came across a shop on ebay that does wooden gifts and they made two of these for me for £6 each. They are really lovely and are just the sort of thing our BMs would love. I dont think the photo just it justice really - even the other half liked them!! The heart at the bottom shows the wedding date.
  8. char - I'm sorry to hear you are having a bad time at the moment - I hope one of your friends will lend you a should to cry on it will probably help you x
  9. Lovely pictures - we dont seem to do engagement photos this side of the pond. Â Love love love your dress - you look amazing x
  10. Honestly ............ I would pig out on chocolate! If it looked good on you before and you loved it enough to buy it - then I would say buy it. From the look of your photos your a wee skinny minny anyway!! :-))))))) Â I'm gonna have the opposite - realised my dress shows all the lumps and bumps I had wanted to lose!! xx
  11. You look gorgerous. I too found my dress in my first day of trying on dresses - about the 4th one I tried on xx
  12. Hey Roo - I'll be adding you later as well :-) Â I think with regards to documents as Nicy says it depends where in Mexico you are getting married as each area has their own requirements. Â If we all ask the hotel direct what we require at least we have it in writing from them and we know what we need.
  13. I think you have answered your own question and you are going to have a DW. Â Could you not have a full greek family party when you return home including some of the traditions your family feel they are missing. x
  14. Our hotel has advised we need our birth certificates translated and apostilized, along with a copy of our passports and entrance card. Â Plus as we have a legal name change between us we have to have that translated as well and apostilled. Â This goes in line with everything that the legal wedding website on most TA pages says. Â I'm just going to do it anyway as I dont want to get there and they say sorry you havent got the write paperwork!! Â
  15. I have to say I dont think it is too much of a problem - as they have been honest with you. Â However I would say to them that because of your own wedding finances money is tight so you could not contribute towards the cost of the clothes.
  16. Also ebay is good for stickers for lip balm - if you search personalised stickers. They do them specifically for weddings. Some are also designed to go onto a lip balm they are about £2-3 x
  17. Really enjoyed your planning thread - loved the way everything co-ordiantes. Your guests are gonna loved all the effort you have put in x
  18. These are lovely - no wonder your guests loved them. x
