I believe they only have white or a pale pink chair sash to chose from - our colours are turquoise and gold; I got them from ebay and Elena advised they would be happy to use any decorations we bring with us and there is no additional fee. I have seen some of the other hotels charge for everything!

Hi Ladies - has anyone received the up to date price lists? I have been in contact more with Elena now my date is nearer. Rather than bombard her with 101 questions I sent an email with 8 questions on it in one go and she replied to everything. Cant belive I leave in 12 weeks!! x

My list now for the actual trip to Mexico is only: Cigars for the mens favours Lottery ticket scratchcards Cermony card Music for the Ipod Menu Cards Tealights for the table FOB gift BMs: earrings, hair flower, pashmina Me: Underwear, barefoot sandals, make-up and perfume I feel slightly relieved as I was sooooooooo behind. Have a shopping trip with BMs next month and one with my mum so that should be more off the list! I need it all to be done by Christmas so I can relax and then just do the small things for our AHR.

Oh and this is what I did whilst watching x factor this eve....... I bought a plain post box from ebay a few weeks ago and finally got round to decorating it. Its for our AHR which is straight after we get back and we have so many busy weekends in the run up to Chrimbo and then we will be off to Mexico, thought I would do it this eve. Quite pleased with my efforts if i do say so myself!! :-)))

Herbie - I love the boarding card invites - they look really professional. Cant believe its a year ago today I proposed to Buster in Poland. Ironically we paid off the holiday / wedding today as well - without realising the date. I went and had a look at wedding rings today whilst in town as Buster said the other evening he is only going to have a cheap one as it just wont wear it, what with his work. I was like oh no you have to have one and he said no cause then you can have the whole budget for the rings - I was straight down the town looking - lol!!! Michelle I'm sure your dress is worth every penny and you will look like a princess. Your dress has cost more than I think I have spent altogether - lol!

Oh and we smashed our ceramic money box last night which we have been putting 20ps in since the 1st Jan and we had £89 - the photographers deposit was £96 so that covered that. Only thing is I now have to pay it up and pay it in the bank tomorrow morning!!!!

Love the starfish Nicy - its really lovely. There are knock off sites where you send them your measurements and a photo of the dress and they make a mock up of it and send you pictures - you are not committed to buying it either - I cant for the life of me think which website it is as someone I used to work with used it. Anyone else know? I am now coming off of the internet as I got a £100 bonus from work today and have spent the whole lot this evening on wedding things as it was money we werent expecting and we would probably have only wasted! I dont want to put anything for the wedding on a credit card so any spare cash goes straight to the wedding fund! In 3 hours I have purchased (mainly from ebay)....lol! 1. My handbag ( I wasnt going to have one until you girls started buying them and then I HAD to add one to my list) 2. 10 x Turquoise chair sashes 3. 10 x Gold chair sashes 4. Bubble wands 5. The rest of the silver bookmarks for the ladies favours 6. FOG engraved cufflink box (we already had some cufflinks made) 7. Engraved antique jewellery box for MOB I could spend spend spend all night. LOL.

Michelle I feel your pain - I did a DVD the other day and the insides of my thighs were killing me. I seem to not be losing any weight but losing inches. When I say inches I mean more mm - lol! But I really want to see it on the scales :-((( I have made the deposit to our wedding photographer today - no going back now. It all seems to be happening. Also bidding on a handbag on ebay for one that has never been used. I keep checking it as one I wanted the other day went at the last minute cause I had to take a phone call at work. How bloody inconvenient!! x

For those of you having bridesmaids; are you having them carry bouquets? I have 2 adult BMs and dont really want to have to purchase additional flower bouquets when we are out there as they are currently $45 each and I'm sure they will go up in price next year!! I was wondering about having them carry a fan or parasol and have a corsage instead? Do you think this will make it obvious I'm not willing to pay out anymore money - lol! Its not like they can take the flowers home with them!

I know how you feel about cuttingt the budget. Not to pay for someone else; though I would have paid for any parents if they really couldnt afford it. I got made redundant in June and didnt get another job until September so 4 months with no money coming in. But I think its made me realise you dont have to spend a fortune to get the things you want x

Love the tiara Michelle! x Herbie I did invitations only a few weeks ago but they were just a nice little touch to those who are coming we didnt bother sending them out inviting everyone to the wedding as people had already booked. We have done invites for our AHR tho. And every god damn one of them and never want to visit hobbycraft ever again!!! x

I know its annoying the mark up on the cost of the wedding but its not like the TAs hide the cost of the wedding packages - its always gonna be cheaper going direct to the hotel. The same as if you book a holiday direct. Surely they will just say with the labour time of them booking the wedding; doing the paperwork and making their beloved profit they are entitled to make as much or as little money as they want. The difference on mine is £450 but I am safe in the knowledge that if anything happens I am covered with Thomson if the plans turned sour and if I booked direct with the hotel I dont have anyone to fall back on. Also remember the hotels base ther prices on the years before prices and guestimate the increase. Worth a complaint I guess you may be lucky and get some money back. Can you tell I work in customer services - lol!! x

Nicy - both dresses are beautiful and wll look fantastic on the beach. Do you remember how you felt when you tried on your first choice - did you get as emotional? Maybe try and get a day with a friend, sister or mum when you can get to try on both dresses. xx
