Hello ladies - after 2 weddings, a hen do and 2 birthdays parties I am finally deciding to crack on with some wedding planning!  The 6 week action plan has started in an effort to lose 12lb - need to be at my goal weight by 1st Nov really to feel comfortable in my dress!!  I was going to make some barefoot sandals for the ceremony as some of them are £20 - £30 so was going to pop down to Hobbycraft and came across these on the web and they are only £10 per pair and the company are based in the UK. You can get them made in whatever colour you want. I dont know if you go for all white and the pearls, blue small beads and white pearls or the white small beads and blue pearls. Will have a play around but this is them - for £10 its not worth the hassle of trying to make them......  Â

Not to put a dampener on these lovely luggage tags BUT when I worked at Gatwick anything that was highlighted as being part of a wedding or highlighted that is was for a special event - we would remove as the staff at the 'destination' couldnt be trusted for want of a better word as it was an attraction to those with light fingers!!!! But I'm sure you will all be fine xx

Hey everyone - like Kerry I cant keep up with whats going on - lol!! Â As usual I havent done any wedding planning and I get married in January - ring shopping - that is the last thing on my list as FI wont wear a ring as hes a painter and decorator but we will get one for the day and he can wear when he fancies it - so we can get him a simple cheap and cheerful ones and get me a god damn load of bling!!!! Â Welcome along all you newbies - you must all be so excited - we didnt have to wait for the prices to come out really we got engaged Oct last year and the prices came out 1st Nov - BUT do book as soon as possible we booked 3 weeks after the prices came out and couldnt get the week we wanted so had to go earlier. Â Well done on the weight loss everyone I have 9lb to lose - but too much alcohol again this weekend, 2 take aways and a slab of cheesecake later I think I may have a few more to lose. Â Roo - off to view your planning thread! Â We are off to a wedding next weekend - went to one this Sat as well so hopefully I will be up and running in wedding mode again - going to try and do some shopping online today for favours etc as Buster is at work all day and its the first day off I dont have a hangover on for ages!! xxxxxx

Hey ladies, u have all been so chatty the last couple of days. Have 2 do some catching up. Â Suprisngly i dont have a hangover today but am v tired we got home at 4.30 and was awake at 7.45 as the hotel room was so damn hot! Â We had a good time - hated the murder mystery - everyone dressing up was fun but the actual event was a bit pony. We then headed off into town and yes it was a bit of a chav fest and everyone was really young - i love a boogie but seriously everything at liquid was hardcore dance music no cheese or old skool!!! All in all we had a good time and it was all a great laugh - oh and me yes i was the bloody murderer! Â Heres a few hideous photos - i always seem to get a bloody double chin!!! Â

Hey Nicy glad you are starting to feel beta - cant believe you have already paid I would never let the TA have my money right until the last minute! lol! Â Jo - Your little girl looks adorable; its so lovely she will be part of your special day. Â Michelle - Isnt the pound shop like an aladdins cave for OOT Bags!!! Â I have just been packing my bag as am off in the morning for one of my friends hen weekends - murder mystery and I am Lindsay Lohan as some of u may recall. I'll post some pics next week. So yet again another weekend drinking and no wedding planning done. Seriously I need to knuckle down you girls are doing so much and I am nowhere near as organised as you!!! x

Our TA who is one of the major tour operators here in the UK is sending their regional rep to the hotel today to find out exactly what is going on with dates for next year as like you say how do they expect people to plan. Â Honestly if I hadnt already been to the hotel and fallen in love with the place and the whole atmosphere surrounding it i would have given up on this hotel long ago. Once our date is confirmed i will be much more relaxed. x

Marisol got back to me today and said they hope to have the dates etc for 2011 confirmed by October - god they are stringing this out - my TA is worse - just want to know my date is confirmed we are travelling all the way from London - I just have to keep remembering how relaxed i will be once I am there! x Â

OMG I know how u feel we are having a right old mare with Thomson. To cut a long story short we also booked 3 weeks after the prices came out and they proposed 24th Jan which is 10 days into our hols which didnt bother me - however we signed all the documents in December and were told we would have our date within 6 weeks. 10 weeks go by and we hear nothing we are then told the dates for 2011 weddings come out in August by the hotel, i contacted the hotel direct and they confirmed this was the case. We are now 18th Aug and we have been told it is now October when we have our date confirmed and that is also when they want our final payment made!!!!! Thomson are a complete pile of cack - i find out more information myself than they do. When FI went into the shop today they said we had made it up that the hotel told us we find out in October - so we sent them the email we got from the hotel! FI has given them until Monday and he is then going to sit in the shop until they give him some straight answers - even if he gets removed by the police he told them - lol! And knowing what a stubborn git he is he will - he has his sights set on all sorts of freebies now - lol. I am quite calm over it suprisingly he however is starting to blow his top. I am now in contact with the hotel direct. Its not so much the date issue its the fact that they lie constantly and hate it when you confront them -arrrggghhhhhhhhh. Â Feel beta now :-) Â

If I'm being totally honest I dont like this idea - we received a STD via facebook and email from some friends and i just thought it was a bit inpersonal and i know they didnt have very good feedback from friends and family - even in this virtual world we live in i think people still like to get a proper piece of paper/card x

'Janapana' - so glad someone else has said this about those Vistaprint t-shirt i was just about to order one and saw the measurements - I stopped - they were bloody huge. One of my BM did order one and has said it was huge - far far to long as well! Â Love your pens and luggage tags though x

Oh No!!! This is what happened to one of my mates she got her flowergirl dresses on ebay for about £15 each from the US and it ended up costing her £70 in duty!!! Its the senders fault though not yours - I deal with this sort of thing at work - hope you get them but I would say big fat chance hope they didnt cost you too much!  I am currently starving and am sitting here trying not to gnaw my leg off - back on the healthy eating plan today - went for a 20 min run and nearly died. I looked at my dress at the weekend and noticed how narrow the waist is and then looked at my ever expanding waist......:-(((((

We havent done our documents yet but any names changes have to be legally translated - my FI changed his name when he was 12 and we have to have the name change document translated as well - so unfortunately you will need to get your FIs name changed x

waybuloo - I found the bookmarks on ebay - i have seen them on other website but on ebay they are all pretty much the same price 99p plus 99p P&P so basically £2 a bookmark or if you buy more than one from the same seller it is less as they combine the postage.  I should receive them this week so will have to let u all know what they are like - fingers crossed! x

Jo - I dont think the necklaces are too 'bling' depends how bling your dress is - I love the first one xx

Oh and Michelle you mentioned about having trouble finding things cheap enough to go in OOT bags - I dont know what you are looking for but I have got nearly everything from the 99p shop - they had mini first aid kits, door hangers, pens etc and honestly it doesnt look tacky at all and I am the biggest snob going - I mean I dont know what sorts of things you are looking for. Â If you do go in the 99p shop though - check your surroundings first and make sure no-one you know is around and throw the bag away when you get home you never want someone to be around and they ask you for a plastic bag and you pull out the 99p shop bag - lol xxx

Thanks for your comments on my favour gifts ladies xx  So much has gone on in just one day.......  Nicy - love the starfish frames they were one of the choices I narrowed it down to on our shortlist but they just worked out a little too expensive with our guests and the p&p - but lovely choice x  Louise - you look beautiful on your wedding day and so happy - its reminded me why i wanted a beach wedding x  Jo - your flowers look great.  Michelle - whoop whoop love the bag x  Now call me 'dim' but I have never thought of having a bag on my wedding day and I see you are all buying them but what on earth are you going to put in them or are they just for show - as I now want one but will never use a white bag again and dont know what on earth I would put in it - lol!!! x

We dont do the garter toss in the UK - but it is still tradition to wear one - mine is the one my mum wore on her wedding day :-)
