  1. I'm so glad you mentioned the oxidizing metal! We're starting to look for FI's ring, and now we'll steer clear of that!
  2. Your dresses are amazing! I love your TTD choice, and the petal cones on the chairs are GENIUS! I might be "borrowing" that idea.

  4. Maureen and Jennifer, I completely agree with what you both have said. My naivety has caused me a lot of problems. I can only speak for myself, that I didn't research things as thoroughly as I should have. I'm sure in the end that I will be so happy and blessed with the wedding, but right now I feel like pulling my hair out! I really wish I would have found this forum, or another resource BEFORE making any definite decision, but what's done is done. However, in my defense, I used the Live CSR chat before booking anything. I'm posting a copy of the log (that was emailed to me at the completion of the conversation) so that others can see how it can be misleading. I believe I asked the right questions, and "half-truths" were told to me. you: Ok, great. We were hoping to use the free wedding package that is included with a 6 night stay. However, from the documentation I've read online, that only includes a reception for 2 people, other than the bride and groom. Can we expand that without having to pay for a larger weddingp ackage? CSRGuy: Yes. All wedding packages include the Standard Cocktail Reception for the Bride, Groom, and two guests. Additional guests can be added at $15 per person with no other charges for dining or entertainment, unless you would like a live band. you: What is the cost for video and web-streaming of the wedding in St. Lucia for our friends and family that won't be in attendance? CSRGuy: The cost is $50 for 100 streams and $70 for 200 streams. CSRguy: 1 Stream = 1 Viewing Session you: I see that on the website. Does the $50/100 streams include just the streaming, or does that also cover the cost of the videography? CSRGuy: No the video package is at additional cost you: Can you tell me what the cost is? CSRGuy: Click here to view the packages you: That doesn't list the pricing for JUST the videography. I'm not interested in photography pkgs at this time. CSRGuy: That is all of the information we have. I just feel like I was intentionally mislead. Maybe I'm just a bit bitter. Once the dust settles, I'm sure it will be great. Can anyone make it settle faster?
  5. Thanks for sharing! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your dress. It looks absolutely gorgeous on you.

I think she realized I called her on her "untruth". It's hard to keep everything in perspective. You just really need to think about what you're going to remember about your wedding 50 years from now. What was important, that you got the flowers you wanted or a massage that helped you relax and enjoy your vacation... I vote for the massage!!!! Kelly, my WC tried to tell me the same thing about the dinner reservations. At this time, there's only about 8 of us and she keeps pressuring me into a full reception package. However, since there's less than 10, it costs a TON to have anything more than the half hour reception. I'm not pleased, since when I originally looked into Sandals, their reps kept telling me that everything was included, and I could have as large (and long) of a party as I wanted. At this point, I've been rethinking using the Sandals resort we're booked at, at all. I'm tempted to go with another company.
  7. MontegoBay, I know what you're going through. We're getting married at a Sandals in Saint Lucia, and we're going back and forth on whether to get the photo packages. The prices seem outrageous for what you get, and Sandals REFUSES to let you bring in an outside photographer. I've asked my WC for samples of both the resort photographer and videographer. I'm still waiting to get those, which is what I'll be basing our decision on. Good luck!
  8. You look so beautiful and happy! The wedding looked gorgeous as well! Congrats!
  9. I'm so late in posting here, but everything looked beautiful! I love how you incorporated the "Journey to Forever" into everything. It looked great!
  10. I agree wholeheartedly with all the posts so far. Eventually her true colors will show. Until then, maybe talk to your FBIL and explain the situation. Give her "one more chance". Once he realizes that you're making more than your share of the effort, maybe he'll calm down?
  11. I can't wait to read over your wedding review. The dress looks AMAZING on you. I wish I had the body for Maggie gowns.
  12. I'll be there! Also, I'm in dire need of a paper cutter, and I hate to pay $50 for something I'm only going to use once. Do any TO girls have one that they could bring? I'm willing to drop it off when I'm done with it!
  13. Is this feature available at all Sephora's? Which one did you go to? I definitely think this is in my future!
  14. Thanks for the heads up! We were blindly just going with the video and web-streaming (for those back home that can't make it). This has made me stop and think to ask the WC to send us a sample! It looks like a gorgeous wedding for the couple, but the transitions aren't really our style.
  15. I'm so glad I checked the forums before heading out. I was planning a trip to the Eaton Centre anyways! I'll definitely be stopping to scope it out!
  16. Thanks for the input! The templates are what I'm looking for! When I search, I come up with thousands of threads that may mention what I'm looking for, but aren't about the topic. Maybe I just need to work on my searching! Thanks again!
  17. I decided that my invitations were going to be my first DIY project. BAD idea. I'm not crafty or artsy at all! So here I am, begging for help! We're using pocketfolds for our invitations. I really need a RSVP template that I can use, because I've spent hours in Word and PhotoShop, with nothing to show for it. Everything I have found online (so far) doesn't fit with a beachy wedding theme. Does anyone have any that they would be willing to share?
  18. This wedding plan thread was amazing. You had everything thought of! I'm off to go read your wedding reviews and look at pics!
