You are going to be thrilled with Marcia's work. I still keep looking at the pics and finding new ones. We just received a canvas print (we had a groupon) and it is amazing, the resolution is great enlarged to a 16x20. Have fun and enjoy every minute, it will fly by!

Hi Strelkam, you don't have to do much before hand really. I opted to do oot bags for guests and had a blast filling them, however I had to keep my now husband in check, he wanted to get more and more and more... I took some chair sashes with me and fabric for the huppa, dresses and oot bags for everyone. it was beautiful and almost entirely stress free. My favorite memory of the wedding festivities was the morning of the wedding I went to breakfast by myself (hubby sleeping in) and then went to the pool for some alone time until family found me. Went upstairs to shower and get room service then get ready with the photographers. How many people (who do traditional weddings) can say they laid by the pool with a cocktail for 2 hours before their wedding!!!!! Oh and for the other people asking about salon services, I didn't use them except for a couples massage, but guests did for hair and manicures and had great results. Enjoy the wedding and all the time with FI, family and friends, it will go by way too fast!

I rinsed mine out in the tub and then hung it on the balcony to dry. I had it cleaned after I returned home and it turned out great... the cleaner didn't understand why it had so much sand until FI told him.

Marcia is very reasonable, great to work with and I had over 2000 images on CD less than 1 month after our wedding. plus we have amazing pics.

Just thought I'd share how I re-used some of my chair sashes for the holidays. I had fuschia organza sashes and used them as the garland for my tree (which I themed a tropical tree complete with a pink flamingo tree topper) and my bannister. I just tied them together end to end. I will add pics shortly but can't as I'm at work now.

I'm glad it's going to work out for you guys. I can relate to the stress... I had an email saying I needed to book a room the day after I got to Jamaica and I freaked out (as did my now hubby... he was ready to just go with the resort photog) but since it wasn't discussed before hand Marcia agreed to pay for it. I am so happy that we did use her it was amazing!!!

Tina, I just used a normal notary...someone in my office is a notary and thats who I used. I don't know what Red Seal is either.

Just to throw my 2 cents in, either my or hubby's birth certificates (maybe both) didn't have our father's names on them and we just sent notarized copies of the birth certificates along with our passport and divorce decree copies (everything notarized).. I checked with Nicole before hand and that was acceptable for her.

I've been to both, we were married at IRHS (last month) but stayed at RH Hilton last time we were there (last year). IRHS is a much nicer more modern resort with a great staff. I only saw a wedding at the Aqeducts from our balcony which was beautiful but super expensive if I remember correctly. I think either would be beautiful but I'd recommend the IRHS if it helps.

Hi Delgadot, check with Marcia, her prices are very reasonable even if you pay for a night at the resort. She had one other photographer with her. I didn't use videographer services so I don't know anything about it. She was great to work with.

Welcome back and what a beautiful wedding. Love your OOT bags, we used the same ones! Glad you are finally able to catch your breath, hope you are recovered and doing well from surgery.

Great pics everyone. Can't believe its all done!!

Here are a few of mine. Right after our toast: Walking by the pool for more pics after the wedding, everyone in the pool cheering us as we went through. The photographer asked us to run in slo motion with the Jamaican flag so my hubby looked at me and said think Capital One commercial where the Vikings are imitating Bo Derek (I think thats the right actress), we have a ton of these shots, some better than others but still make me laugh.

Jules and Camille, she paid for her stay because it wasn't mentioned until I was in Jamaica and my now hubby was not really happy with the change in plan/budget. Please don't take this as any problem with her, just check and see how she wants to do it. She even came to the evening show and even took photos of it and of us that night.

She stayed the night and did our ttd the next day so no passes were needed. I'd check with her to see if she expected you to book a night at the resort for her. I was thrilled with her work!

Congrats, you won't be disappointed!! 2400+ images delivered to us within 3 weeks of the wedding plus teasers on her website in about 2 weeks (of course this depends on how busy she is but I was truly amazed).

She picked it, I had watched it several times before I knew there was music, I always keep my computers muted. You probably could pick it but she never asked about. I think she picked well so my vote is to keep it easy for you and let her do her magic.
