    They look great! My sister and I talked about doing this, but landed up only doing the RSVP as a luggage tag. One thing we were going to do is for those attending the wedding we were going to send them a new replacement(business card) for the inside with our wedding monogram and their address on the other side to put on there luggage for the wedding.

    Congrats! You should check on the thread on Riu Palace Riviera Maya that is in Playa. It's an all inclusive if that's what your looking for.

    I'm getting married at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya in November 2010. I'm going through a private travel agent. There is a great thread on here for the Riu Palace Riviera Maya you should check out, it's 180 pages but answers so many questions. We do not have a group rate but for 5 days is about 700 dollars for the room plus air fare which is roughly 350-400 dollars right now. Good luck making your decision

    Mrs March, Thanks for the update in info. I knew you couldn't have more then 60 at Bogata, but didn't know about the price difference. I looked back at my 2010 package info and no where does it say that you have to pay 25.00 more per person for a sit down dinner. Have you challenged that with her? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for less then 60 now!

    I was going to suggest the same thing. You may want to read the thread on knock off dresses. You can send that picture to some of the more reputable companies and they may be able to make it for you

    Jen, Congrats on your internship. I sent out preliminary RSVP's with my STD's. I wanted to get a estimated count of how many people were thinking of coming so I could do OOT bags, luggage tags etc.... I sent out my STD the first week in January and made the RSVP date April 1st. Good news is I already got about 20 back, but there are till about 55-60 out. KimmyG-what are you going to do about the people that didn't respond? Are you assuming they aren't coming or are you going to contact them?

    Fsauambs-Welcome! So excited for you. If I were you I'd drop destinationwedding.com. There is a thread on here about them and the majority say they aren't good. I've heard great things about the travel agents on here. I would have used them too except my 83 year old grandmother still works as a travel agent so I have to use her! I don't think Jan or Feb are going to be much different in price, they are both high season. We went in Jan 2009 and it cost about $300 more then what we are paying for our wedding in November.

    Ladytrunk, I had the same problem about 5months ago. I was going to doctors and than chiro with some relief. It all came down to stress. I was working two jobs and wasn't really working out. Long story got temporary laid off and started working out and gone! If I skip working out for a few days, the pain comes back. I've heard accupuncture works well too! Don't give up on working out!

    Welcome to the newest girls that have joined! It's so exciting to meet some other 2010 brides. Just a tip to the new girls, you need to read through this thread from beginning to end before you start posting questions. I know it's really long, but we've all done it.     I believe if you book more then 40 people then you have to upgrade to the next package, but I could be wrong (caprice package). You can have a private party if you have over 40-50 people, but it cost an add'l $1700 but that also includes the DJ.

    Most of our guests will be flying from Newark and we are looking at about 875 for room for 5 nights and then airfare. Right now airfare is about $400.

    You can go on the website and just play around with the dates and times without booking. It will give you a good idea of what is available.

    Jrb, I did book mine directly through the hotel. I just went to the Riu Wedding website and chose the wedding, date and type of ceremony. I received an email to confirm the date and then a week or so later they confirmed it with a confirmation number. Very easy and simple. When you got and choose the dates and times, it will not let you choose a date or time if it is not available.

    I think there was a thread on here that it is a scam company. Make sure you search the name before you buy. Girls ordered stuff and got no product and had to go through there credit card company to get there money back.
