I just wanted to add to the post above from page 1 of the forum (which has been awesome. thank you sunbride!)...based on my correspondence with Aurora. I am doing the free package option and paying the additional site fee for our reception. Aurora has told us that the white tablecloths are "free" up to 20 guests, and then $18 per table...same for the napkins. I am pushing back, but there has been a lot of back and fourth. Hopefully the white options will stay free and my only charge will be the $150 setup fee. To have an orchid in a vase, I was quoted $30 per stem. Anyhow, I'm working on other options...just wanted to let y'all know. tt
  2. A week and a day to go...congratulations! Thanks for sharing your plans. tt

I had purchased the papel picados in Tulum last time we were there. I thought they would be the perfect addition to our std...when i saw Jen's other invites on etsy, I knew that she would rock it. I made her a mockup of what I wanted and she turned it out exactly...I love it so much! We are using the flags as color inspiration for decor at the wedding...they are in vibrant colors (pretty much all colors of the rainbow). Since we're getting married on the beach, that will be the decor for the ceremony. The reception at night will have these bright vibrant colors...which should be nice because technically it will be a blank canvas of darkness. So, lots of color and hundreds of candles. ...maybe the papel picados on the cake table (or i might glue them around the clear candle holders. tt

What do you think? I'm pretty excited about the music too. The flower girl and ring bearers are our kiddos so it should be fun! Cheri, I love your music!!!!! How much fun is that going to be for all of your guests! The kids are going to be so cute and I love the Star Wars Theme at the beach..awesome! I was smiling just reading your post. Are you going to have a wedding favor cd with those songs and others on it? xoxo, tt
  6. Hi everyone. I just love this thread. I am not sure if I posted this on here, but I wanted to share my save the dates. I purchased them from Etsy seller Kneeknockers. Jen was wonderful to work with and so so patient. Thank you all for sharing your great finds! tt
  7. Hi Cheri. Regarding wedding music, I think that I will just have something chill for the other parts leading up to me walking down the asile. We are going to have three different sets on our iPhone for the ceremony...mix, march, recessional. What songs are you doing? We are not that traditional, so we are doing 'Sleepwalk' by Santo & Johnny for my processional and David Lee Roth 'Just Like Paradise' for our recessional. Seriously, I am so excited about our music. For cocktails/reception, we are doing the same as joanna and taking the photo break in between. Our ceremony is at 4p and reception at 6:30p. My spin is that we are doing the ceremony, group photos (20 mins) and then while we do family/couple photos our guests are free to get a drink and/or go back to their rooms to freshen up. xo, tt ps. thank you Joanna...I love my save the dates. They are from Etsy vendor Kneeknockers.

  14. oh my gosh...that is one of my table inspiration pics too. i was going to wait and get the vases in mexico at walmart...but i would rather get them now and not spend my first day there at walmart and costco. it's all about how i'm going to pack, how many bags, etc. you did an awesome job! thank you for posting. tt

  19. i think i'm going to budget having the bags in my guests rooms (or given to them at check in). i was thinking a bag per couple, but now a few of my friends are bringing their friends (ie. two girls per room) and I guess I'll have to do a bag each. ...and i can't do a bag for my bachelor guys as it's a little girly. tt
  20. i keep going back and fourth on this one too. i'm starting the true dress search in may. tt
