hi and congrats!!! we stayed at dreams riviera cancun for our site tour in december 2009. it's a gorgeous resort and the staff is awesome. it was a little small for our wedding (appx. 40 guests) ceremony. make sure to check out the planning journals and wedding reviews...they are my favorite resources. happy planning! tt

hi. are any of you thinking about doing a mayan ceremony? i really love some of the photos and reviews i've seen where this has been part of the wedding ceremony. i've tried to find anything online (one of the most popular is Shaman Marie and Charlie), but only see links to local wedding planners. do you know the cost to go through these planners? I've also asked on some of the other subforums, but not gotten any responses. thank you, tt

hi everyone. i've asked the wedding team at dt a couple of times and got back the strangest responses...i'm hoping you all can help. we are doing the wedding in paradise package, paying the fee for a reception as well as a per person from the seaside grill. they sent us the menu from the grill...we are paring down the menu for our guests. okay...here is the question: do we have to asks our guests ahead of time for their dinner selections and give to the dt wedding team? or did your guests make their selection at the reception?...like ordering at a restaurant. i'm thinking it's the second...both aurora and natalia's replies make me think it's the second option...but you never know. i want to customized menus as part of my place setting, but do not want to waste the time if not. thank you for your help. tt

Hi. All I can say is that I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I grew up in florida and the truth is, you never know with the weather. One thing is that even if there is an early afternoon shower, it will most likely be clear an hour later. If it's a hurricane, you'll know well in advance and I'm sure you'll have enough time to cancel without penalty. Congrats and good luck! Tt
