awww yay!!! congrats! I LOVE DISNEY!!! it's my favorite place and i have all the classic movies--we don't have kids, lol!! we're getting married at dreams cancun sept 24th so i know how you feel...these last 6 1/2 months can't go by any faster!!!

I am having the guests who are not staying pay for the day pass, I don't think there's anything wrong with that b/c you have told them which resort the wedding is at and given them plenty of notice. plus you are paying per head for the reception. if they choose to stay at a different resort, you shouldn't have to pick up the day pass too, it would be like paying for their hotel if you were having a wedding here and they were coming from out of town, imo.

it really bothers me that sometimes FI thinks that things for the wedding just magically get done...when i've been at work and i come home and work on stuff or i'm on the computer getting ideas from you ladies and other sources, then i say i'm tired or wish he'd help sometimes he's like "why are you so tired" or "we don't have to do that yet, we still have 6 months left". yeah if i left it up to him, nothing would get done!!

I'm getting a hoodie embroidered with "mrs tompkins, est 9.24.10" and going the DIY route a "bride" and "property of the groom" tank and "just married" bikini (to wear on the HM) I also saw some yoga pants that said "wifey" on the back and thought that was cute and of course i'm doing the MOH and BM tanks for my girls

hi Here were mine when we went last year: Rooms--do we and/or the guests get upgraded because of the wedding? If guests are not staying at the resort, is there a fee for the day of the wedding (daypass)? Private Functions--how can we do a welcome dinner, rehersal dinner, farewell brunch? Do we reserve tables at a restaurant or do we pay per person for a private event? Photography--how long does it last, can we see examples of photogs work, how much is an extra hour? can we ask for specific shots (first kiss, ring exchange, etc)? When do we get the pics back? Music--what is included with the dj (dance floor, lighting)? is there music playing before ceremony (while guests are being seated)? do you provide a sound system for the ceremony (incase its hard to hear over the wind/waves)? Flowers--what is included in the package? when/how do i pick the bouquets? when are they delivered? can you design my bouquet from an inspiration pic? Ceremony--What is the wording? is it in spanish or english? can we change the wording or make our own? can people hear the ceremony at the location we choose (sound system)? is the location closed off or can other resort guests come and go as they please? how is the site decorated..flowers, flowy fabric, what type of chairs are used? Reception--What is on the menu? Can we change or modify items? Do we do a tasting? Can we choose the cake flavor, decoration, style? What locations are available for the reception? How is it decorated (flowers, lighting, table linens, centerpieces)? How many people per table/logistics? Where are the bathrooms? Is this a private area..wedding guests only? Beauty--What are the spa prices? Do we get a group/bridal discount? How far in advance to we schedule appointments? how many girls can you accomodate at a time? Wedding Package--can we exchange things (no video for extra photog time, etc)? do we get credit for things we dont use? can we bring outside vendors? is there a fee for this? RAIN PLAN--Make sure they SHOW you the different location options you can use if it rains. This was a deciding factor when we where choosing between 2 resorts!!! Hope this helps

Hey ladies I just wanted to update about the spa...definately book now bc I just got the reply for my times, etc. So for four hair apts, one make-up apt, and 5 polish change apts (just in case we've chipped anything) we are starting at 11 am to be ready by 3 pm. There will be 5 of us getting ready, but they can only do 2 people at a time for each thing. I wanted to give my girls, mom, and FMIL a mani/pedi the day off but there is not enough time. I can't imagine if there was another wedding the same day or if we were getting married during high season!! btw I also went ahead and booked the couples massage that you get with the Ultimate package. We booked for the next day, we're going to have breakfast in bed, then the massage at 3 at the palapas on the beach!!

I'm wearing gray yoga pants with a black hoodie i got from NY&C on sale for $10!! I'm having it embroidered with "mrs. tompkins est. 9.24.10" I like the idea of the bikini with "just married" to wear the next day..too cute!
