Hi Ladies! I'm an April 2011 bride as well! So glad I found this thread! We have reserved our date and time for the ceremony and just got the 2011 rates from our TA! So now it's time to start booking!! Very exciting! We're keeping it small at the actual wedding, but then having a reception at home for everyone that can't make it. I see that a lot of you girls have sent out STD's already, I was actually not planning on doing this but now I'm wondering if that was a bad decision?!? What are your thoughts? HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE! Hi Ladies! I purchased this gown soon after my fiancé proposed, not knowing at the time that we would be planning a destination wedding. Luckily for you girls, I decided to go with a different gown! This dress was originally $699 and I am selling it for $450 (OR BEST OFFER). Because I am purchasing another dress I really need to find a good home for this gown as soon as possible and I thought I would give you girls first dibs! The dress is in perfect condition. It has never been worn or altered. It is a stunning white strapless ball gown with pickups in the skirt and a sweetheart neckline. It does have beaded cap sleeves which are attached at the back of the dress and can be attached in the front of the dress if you are looking for a more modest look. The straps can also be removed with very little hassle. The gown is a size 14, but I am a size 8/10 and it fits me just fine (I'll never know why bridal gowns run so small!). I was told by the David’s Bridal consultant that helped me that alterations to adjust the gown to a smaller size can be made very easily by any seamstress. The top is heavily beaded and there is sporadic beading on the skirt as well. If you have any questions please let me know!!! The dress has got to go ladies, so make me an offer! (first attempt at posting pics....crossing my fingers it works!!)

What an awesome idea! Thanks for sharing! I live 4 hours from my mom and sister (maid of honor)....but it would be so easy for me for me to type this stuff up and just email it to them so they could print it and assemble! Thanks again for sharing!

This is a great topic to touch on! My fiance and I are also going to be getting married legally in the US before our wedding in Mexico. We just didn't want to have to deal with all the hassle and extra money that go along with having a legal ceremony in Mexico. Like many of you girls on here we're also not telling anyone when we do it. Though we did discuss it with my family we did not tell his for the simple fact that we didn't think that they would go to Mexico for our wedding if they knew we made our marriage legal at home. I definitely agree that it's really no one's business where and when you make it legal. Let that be between you and your fiance, and don't let other's opinions sway your decision. Good luck!

Well ladies it's official! We have booked Ivan as our photographer!! Thanks to EVERYONE who has posted on this thread, your information has been so helpful to me! If it wern't for you guys I would probably STILL be looking for a photographer. It feels so great to have this part of the planning process completed! Thanks again ladies! Brooke

This was a great idea for a thread!! I was thinking about getting my fiance flying lessons (he's talked about wanting to learn how to do that for a while) but I don't know for sure. He wants to learn how to fly helicopters, but the closest flight school for that is about three hours away from us so that idea is still up in the air.

Hey ladies! My fiance and I were originally planning our wedding for Memorial Day weekend 2010, but ended up pushing the date back and are now getting married at the Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa on April 2, 2011!!! I think it's great that we all have a head start on our planning! Hopefully it will pay off in the end and we won't have as many headaches lol! Happy planning everyone!! Brooke
