    Your pics are gorgeous Janet! I'm kind of glad that we started planning late because I don't know how some brides wait a year for their wedding.......we have only been planning for a month and I already can't sleep.....i'm so excited to get away and be married!

    I think that primer is a must! I also wanted to tell you about a product "Model in a Bottle." You spray this on after your make-up is applied. My photographer told me about it and says that you can cry, sweat, and even take a quick dip in the pool without your make-up running off. It is made by Merle Norman Cosmetics (might be Canadian only).

    We are only staying at our resort for one week, so we plan to go on a honeymoon for our 1st anniversary!

    Courtneybgorman, I have also paid a deposit for my outside photographer and videographer. I haven't been told by anyone that no outside vendors are allowed, but I also haven't asked. From reading this forum I found that most people just paid the day pass and then there was no problem having their own photographer. I e-mailed my WC and will let you know what she replies. Thanks for the heads up!

    I agree with everyone else.....send out the invites! People will definitely drive a few hours to catch a different flight (our guests have to drive 3 hrs to the nearest airport)........people tend to put in a little extra effort when they get to attend a wedding at a vacation resort. And you never know, more seats could open on your flight. Good luck and try to think positive!

    I found dress shopping kind of fun and it went way faster than I thought. I didn't fall for any of the dresses until I tired on "the one." After that, I found one other that was a competitor, but as soon as I tried on my original favorite.....I swiped the credit card!! My dress is made by Pronovias.....M.M. something. I'm not sure of the style name but it is kind of a trumpet style. I will post pics in January when I get my hands on my dress. Thanks for all your kind words and support!

    Gorgeous dress.....I would have my MOH wear it, but she wants a short dress. We are marrying in Mexico so I can understand. Good luck selling.....whoever buys it will be one happy girl.

    Does anyone know what the most popular flowers are in Mexico (or easiest to find)? I was planning on picking a bouquet once I got to the resort, but it might be good to have an idea before I go.

    Hey ladies, I wanted to let you know that my friend just returned from her honeymoon at Bahia Principe Coba...........she had soooooo many great things to say.....food was excellent (she said the buffet was so good that it was like having an a la carte meal)........the grounds are very clean......and the staff are super fun. She told me that if she could get married again, she would do it at the Bahia. This makes me even more excited to experience our wedding in the Mayan!

    a bailly, I think it is a great idea to make your own centerpieces......I plan on doing the same. The internet can teach you how to make pretty much anything now a days! I enjoy being crafty and think it will definitely help to cut some costs.

    GOOD NEWS! Went shopping for a dress yesterday and found one within 5 hours. I absolutely LOVE it! It has now been ordered and the shop guaranteed that it will arrive sometime in January. I was definitely cutting it close......multiple stores told me that if I would have waited one more week, they may not have been able to order a dress in before my wedding in February. Phheeeewww! Unfortunately I won't have any pics until after the wedding I am already catching myself daydreaming about my dress!

    I am loving OOT bags! This forum has given me so many ideas and now I find myself looking for random things in every store that I go to. I think that all of our guests will really appreciate the thought that goes into these bags.

    I am definitely making progress in our planning........but have tons left to do. I have everything organized in my mind, but nothing is actually completed. I am going dress shopping on Saturday (have to go out of town.....only one bridal shop in my hometown). I know that this is cutting it close for time, so I am crossing my fingers. Was anyone able to order a dress within 4 months? I am picking up our invitations from print tomorrow and will hopefully mail them the same day. Photographer is booked! (Thats one thing off the list...haha) Lots to do, but loving every minute of it!

    Our wedding day is on a Thursday.....I have read mixed reviews regarding this because our resort hacienda has a mexican festival on Thursday nights. We are thinking that we will just continue our wedding party into the wee hours of the night at the festival!
