  1. you've just inspired me to hit up goodwill! Now just like everyone else, pictures please!!!
  2. I love them all! but I would go with 1 or 2...I'm most likely going with a knock off as well...really can't justify to myself paying all the money for the real thing.
  3. I love the back of number 1, but I love the sleek lines and the shilouette (sp?) number 2 will create. Number 2 def!! PS Adorable Shoes!!!
  4. those are fantastic!!!!! I would definitely go with your friend if he's willing to do it...some people are nervous that they're not going to be the best at capturing your day. I just had my e-shoot and i love the creative shots and angles from yours. I think it helps that its your friend so its someone your comfortable around.
  5. Was definitely a great season opener. Did anyone watch the original British Office? Ricky Gervais is hillarious.
  6. Thanks for the suggestion...I look into online retailers and their return policies...specifically house of brides.
  7. Haha...thanks for making me laugh on a crappy weather day
  8. I feel your pain, i just posted a similar thread about 2 dresses I love that I, also, can't find in the store. Every store I went to had me try on dresses that we're similar...which is helpful, but not the same. Best of luck!!!
  9. Thanks so much for all the encouragement Jacilynda...it's great to know that you all had success with these sites. I just can't imagine paying a grand for a dress I'm only going to wear once
  10. I had never thought of it as waves, but I like that. I've tried on a million and one dresses many with a similar top (sweetheart neckline), many with similar shapes (sheath/a line), many with the same chiffon fabric. Basically everywhere I went just said to try on similar styles since they didn't have the exact or extremely close styles. I also tried a bunch of other styles. Some I did surprisingly feel overexposed in, but I think the plunge on 4884 is modest enough... It's just a bummer to not be able to try the exact ones, but I didn't find any that I liked as much as these two. Some keep the opinions coming it's very helpful!
  11. Ok so I've fallen in love with 2 very similar dresses. The problem is that I can't find either in any store to help in my decision. The two dresses I love are Eden Bridals 1363 and Impressions Destiny 4884. Has anyone tried/worn either of these dresses? Or maybe just tell me which you all like better? Really any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!
  12. Your dress is beautiful...If you can't find someone to buy it...maybe you could have it dyed another color to wear it again...it would make an elegant black gown. Good luck!
  13. My very first try at it I just started haphazardly gluing shells, and quickly realized that was not going to look great. Once I had an idea of what I wanted it to look like the most difficult part was finding shells to fit exactly what I wanted. For the rest of them I'm ordering shells online. It did take quite a while...but when it was finished I thought it was worth it.
  14. jawedding...the idea of throwing in a tidepen is phenomenal...never would have thought of that myself Great thread overall!
  15. Thank you all for your responses....this definitely makes me feel more confident in it since it's different than your traditional bouquet. I'll post the smaller bridesmaid bouquets when they're completed...still have to buy the shells for them.
  16. The other pictures...I didn't realize I was posting a picture and not the link to the album...so here are the other 3... - the view from the top of the bouquet
  17. So I completed my first attempt at a shell bouquet...and I LOVE IT. The only drawback is that its a bit heavy and I'll make the others smaller so they're lighter. I've attached the link to the pictures!! What do you think?!
  18. Seems to all have worked out wonderfully!!! And if it wasn't for the little hurdle of dealing with the first lady you probably wouldn't have gotten them all as a gift!
  19. I just decided this week that I'm walking down to Brighter than Sunshine by Aqualung by fiance and I both love that song. My bridesmaids are walking to the instrumental version of bittersweet symphony by the Verve and I like the way the two seem to flow seamlessly together.
