About TAHOEJENI

  1. What a wonderful life you have had together. My only living grandparent is my grandma on my mother's side. My family does not have warm fuzzy relationships, in fact, my mother and I might talk twice a year (and not because we fight). My grandmother has never been anything but a "hi, how are you doing" type relationship and conversation is awkward at all family functions since my relatives are so socially dysfunctional. I am always jealous of women like you that have had such wonderful relationships with the other strong women in your families. Hang on to all the wonderful memories you have had over the years. You are a very very lucky person! Hugs.

My first official 5K run, yeah baby!

I think me and the FI are going to start a new tradition of doing the Turkey Trot 5k here so we can feel less guilty later.... Congrats!
  3. Wow - so exciting that everyone wants to share the day with you. I know it wasn't expected, but you must really be loved. :-) This just reinforces the fact that I'm doing an "A" invite list and a "B" invite list. As people on the A list decline, I'll add the appropriate amount of B people....

    We're On ESPN.com Today!

How totally awesome. Sounds fun too.
  8. I'm looking for the wording that you all used for the "longer" version of the STD. Not something short and cute you would put on a magnet or postcard but the wording that suggests - hey, we're sending these out now so you can give us a tentative heads up/feedback if you're planning on coming so we can plan the logistics of the big day - sort of thing.... Anyone? I'm budgeting for 40 people and while I understand things can change in 12 months, I'd like to know who on the "B" list I can bump up to the "A" list, etc. Our wedding is in Northern Michigan and while it's only 9 hours drive time from where we live, I'd like to give some of those "B" list invitees the ability to move up if a spot opens so they can lock in the good hotel rates..... I HATE FI's dog..

This way you are forced to notice things that you wouldn't necessarily notice if the dog was loose in the house. They key is to watch for signals that the dog needs to go out and then catch her before she makes a mistake. It really worked well for us. Good luck! Leash/House arrest is a great idea. Listen to what Tammy B has to say too. I am in rescue also and have had dozens of dogs through my house for rehab/bootcamp. Have you talked to your breeder? If you bought from someone reputable they will have a life long relationship with you and will mentor you through the hard times. If you bought from someone less reputable or from a puppy mill you might be dealing with a pup that doesn't realize he's not supposed to go inside. He might have spend a significant amount in his crate with no potty breaks and it hasn't clicked yet. When he does his duty outside you need to throw a party for him. Immediately. Get really excited, give him treats, etc right then. Establish a routine and stick to it. Limit his water intake and feed him (not free feed) at set times. That way you will be able to have a good idea when to expect his potty habits. Good luck and give him time. Breed rescue and breed organizations can help too. Jeni
  10. Woo Hoo! Glad the little guy was found. The furkids say thanks for volunteering with rescue. Jeni - Louisville Weimaraner Rescue

    Would You Ever -- Game

Hmmm, I don't think so. (does that count as a no?) Would you ever run naked down the street (in the daytime) for a million bucks?

Do you have a girl crush?

Denise Richards - for like ten years.

Are you dressing up for Halloween?

Geoff doesn't dress up so that would be a no. I will probably dress the furkids though.
