  2. Created all of these using powerpoint and then had the magnets and postcards printed through Vistaprint. I'm really happy with the way they turned out! Here's the magnet: Front of postcard: Back of postcard:
  3. These look great! You can tell you really put a lot of time and effort in to making these
  4. Found a few more in a wedding invite catalog that came in the mail yesterday: We're getting ready to depart on a romantic trip which is only the start BRIDE and GROOM will be married on DATE LOCATION Please join us for a reception when we return DATE, TIME LOCATION ADDRESS Friends forever we will be whether walking on the beach or sailing on the sea... Please be our guest as we, BRIDE and GROOM join together DATE, TIME RESORT NAME LOCATION
  5. Wow that's scary! Is it because of the Easter holiday? Quote: Originally Posted by pebbles Hi Jenny84, I noticed that you're getting married a day before me and you're from Canada! Our travel agent is trying to make some requests to the hotel but it doesn't seem to be working. The only other option is for some of the guests to stay at the other resorts (i.e tropical, etc) but I want to avoid this. I want everyone to be at the palace. Sabrina
  6. Thanks for the heads up. I have 2 outlet stores near me, but they never seem to have outlet prices. I'll check to see what the travel sizes there go for! 7. Love these! I am thinking of doing the same thing with waterproof stickers instead of paying extra for a company to customize them.
  8. I was upset that they took away the package option of having the mariachi at the ceremony too. I think I am going to pay for them to play 1 set at the reception. I originally was thinking of paying for them to do the ceremony, but I don't think the ceremony runs 45 minutes long, so I might be losing out there. 9. Wow had I known this was changing I would have booked at one of the cheaper hotels in the resort. Just checked the hotel website and it looks like it's true: For 7-night stays, you will receive 4 tickets valid for any of the restaurants. For 4-6 night stays, you will receive 2 tickets. Restaurants are subject to availability. Barcelo Maya Palace – Riviera Maya – Maya Palace - Barcelo Maya Palace Quote: Originally Posted by Houserhead that is a real bummer. 10. I have already booked my DW without ever seeing the resort. I've heard so many great things I'm not really worried. My sister and I actually had a trip to Cancun booked for Jan 2010 before I got engaged, so when we go down on vacation we are going to check out the resort and meet with the WC.
  11. Love the yellowbox Eden ones! Thanks for posting, I'm going to send to my bridesmaids to see what they think!
  12. His parents offered to let him stay in their room the night before, but FI says he doesn't believe in that superstition. I think we may just be untraditional and stay together the night before.
  13. Anyone know where you can buy these in the US? I heard they used to be available at Dollar Tree, but none of mine have them in stock.
  14. My bridesmaids all agreed on one dress from David's Bridal that runs about $135 each. Fortunately, I've been able to find the same dress on ebay for less than half that price for 2 of my 4 bridesmaids. I'm still hoping 2 more will pop up in the right size and color. They were both worn once before, but never altered. My bridesmaids didn't mind because they'd only be wearing it once anyway, then have the option of reselling it again. Maybe ebay is an option for your bridesmaids?
  15. This is exactly what I was planning on doing! Glad to hear it worked out for you. How far in advance did you send yours out and did you give a deadline for responses? If so what date did you use for the deadline? My DW is May 15 and AHR June 5, so I don't want to send them too early. 16. Good question... I'm guessing we might have 25-30 max, so that will be even worse. Does anyone know if they served frozen drinks (margaritas, pina coladas, etc) during receptions in the open air restaurants or poolside? 17. To be honest I'm not sure. Haven't bought them yet but am considering. Quote: Originally Posted by Patti Does it have to be completely pitch black dark for them to glow?

  19. I found mine without the raised writing at Dollar Tree. Quote: Originally Posted by jmb0902 Darn I dont think I have any Dolleramas!Any girls find others without raised writing
