Does anyone know how much a day pass for a guest who is staying at a different resort would cost for the day of the wedding? Thanks! Steph -

I copied both [email protected] & [email protected] on my original email and got a response that same day. I'm thinking somehow I just lucked out because it seems like it takes a few weeks for most people to hear back. Good luck! I guess I just got lucky, but I emailed weddings2 on July 21 about booking a wedding date and heard back from Claudia that day. I didn't see the use of CD player available in any of the 2010 packages. Wondering if they're going to start charging for that? It's not listed under the extras though either.

Can anyone post the dollar amounts of the Under the Stars and Oceans Scents package for 2009? I have emailed the wedding coordinators there a few days ago and have heard no response so far (which is normal from what I read). I tried going on the Unofficial Barcelo Maya website, but it only has 2008 package prices. Thanks, Steph

I am planning on getting married at one of the Riu resorts in Playa del Carmen and in the information they sent to me renting a chocolate fountain was listed as an extra for $400, so you may want to ask the wedding coordinator at the sites you are considering to see if they have this option as well. -
Hello, I have a date tentatively booked at the Riu Yucatan for next May and need to confirm by this Friday. I was wondering if anyone has stayed at the resort and if so how they liked it? The price for this resort is about $200 less per person than the Riu Palace Riviera Maya and I'm wondering if it is worth having my guests spend the extra money to hold the ceremony there? Cost for my guests is my main concern. Thanks, Steph

Hi! Just wondering what resort you decided on? I have a date tentatively reserved at the Riu Yucatan and need to make my final decision by Friday. It's hard because not many people on this forum have been married there. The price is really reasonable and I'm not sure it's worth paying an extra $200/person for the Riu Palace Riviera Maya.

Just wondering if you've decided on a site? I am looking into the Riu Yucatan or Playacar because the wedding package price is so reasonable and rates for these hotels are much cheaper than RPRM, which is important for me since I don't want my guests to have to spend a fortune!

Hi everyone! I'm really considering RPLA for my DW next May but there is one major concern for me. I've been reading on trip advisor that the hotel/rooms are musty smelling and was wondering if many people have experienced that? I'd hate to have so many of my friends and family stay there if the resort really smells bad. Thanks! Steph

I am thinking of having a Catholic wedding at the Royal and was just wondering if anyone has seen the Catholic chapel yet and has pictures they can post? Also- I heard the beach at the resort used to be horrible and in this article they say it's been replenished. Can anyone tell me if it's any better than before? Thanks, Stephanie
