  1. Thanks for posting! I definitely want to buy some of the glow in the dark shot glasses!
  2. We aren't planning on doing an entrance. Some of our bridal party is from out of town and won't be able to make the AHR, so we didn't think it would make sense in our case.
  3. I'm really hoping the Dollar Tree will bring back the customizable travel mugs and fish loofahs that a bunch of people bought this past spring! They would be perfect for my OOT bags.
  4. Congrats! I believe the wedding packages are the same no matter what hotel you stay at. The one exception seems to be the Chocolate Sensation package. Here are the package prices that Claudia emailed to me: Blueberry DreamUS$ 1,520.00 Mint BreezeUS$ 2,060.00 Strawberry PassionUS$ 3,080.00 Tangerine SunsetUS$ 7,150.00 Chocolate Sensation Beach, Caribe, Colonial & TropicalUS$ 7,500.00 Chocolate Sensation PalaceUS$ 9,550.00 Coconut Paradisefree I believe the wedding coordinators are the same no matter which resort you stay at as well. I will book my date in a few days I think. I want to thank Erica for a review. Very nice! I was wondering if the prices for the packages are the same at the Barcelo Maya Colonial then the Barcelo Palace? I have the packages prices for the Colonial. Also is the WC are the same in both resorts? I was emailing with Gabriela so I don't know if she is in charge for the Palace also...

  6. Quick question about the drinks during the reception. What types of drinks are offered and how does it work? I'm wondering if you walk up to the bar and order drinks or if you place orders with servers and they bring the drinks? Also- do they serve beer, wine and mixed drinks or do they offer frozen drinks like margaritas as well?

  9. Hi Sandra, Just wondering if there was an extra charge to change the drink from champagne toast to the margaritas after the wedding. I love this idea! Thanks, Steph Quote: Originally Posted by Sandra&Mario Hope I can answer some questions! Depending on the package you choose, you WILL have a cake! But really, who eats all that cake anyways? LOL. The only real purpose it serves is for cutting and feeding each other for a few pics! The cocktail hour prices vary. The cheapest is $14.50 per person and it's a Mexican theme (ie, guacamole, tacos, quesadillas, empanadas, etc)...there's also an International theme or Caribbean. I have that file if anyone wants me to email it to them. Open bar is available during cocktail also. That is $11.00 per person, per hour for domestic and $14.00 for international. Yes, cocktails can be themed around your colors! I asked that already because mine are orange and pink. Instead of a champagne toast after we walk down the aisle, I wanted festive strawberry margaritas with an orange umbrella or flower (virgin ones for the kiddies!)...and this can be done! Makes for a fun pic too
  10. Lillian Vernon also has these a bit cheaper- around $35 and they can be monogrammed. I found some on this site: Resort Beach Chair Cover - Beach - Shop Love Me they are expensive though, at least on that site so I might try looking around for cheaper options or maybe even just go with a personalized large beach towel since I think that would probably be cheaper.
  11. Thanks for posting. These are so cute and I love that they can be customized!
  12. I found a great deal at my dollar tree tonight too... boxes of Tums Quick Pak instant dissolve powder. They come 24 to a box. I plan on putting 2 or 3 packs in each OOT bag! Such a deal!
  13. Will definitely be checking out my Old Navy store tomorrow! I just wish I had a firm count of how many people will be coming. I hate buying items for OOT bags, etc and not knowing if I have to little or too many.
  14. I also like the idea of just using your logo. That's what I'm planning on putting on my OOT bag stuff.
  15. I'm having the same issue- would love to do insulated travel mugs, but they are more expensive and take up more room. I wonder if people would really use the travel mugs back home.
  16. Bought a bunch of the travel cards for $.70 each. Looked at the passport covers and luggage tags, but all those were only 30% off at my store.
  17. I agree- a bottle of a locally made liquor is nice- I saw the cutest kits from Martha Stewart where you can print out your own labels to affix to the bottles.
  18. Wow Erica's photos are amazing! Originally I was planning on using the Barcelo's photographer, but the more photos I see from Elizabeth Medina the more I want to go with her. Can anyone give me a ballpark figure of what her price range is for shooting a wedding/reception? I'm not planning on doing a TTD or anything.
  19. I love the wet bikini bags. Found a few at my local Marshall's tonight, but they were all stained so I had to pass them up. So disappointed about that.
  20. These are so cute- I'm going to stop by our Coach outlet this weekend to see if I can find them!
  21. Thanks for the post- stopped by our Michael's tonight and picked up some of the playing cards for $.70 each!
