They look WONDERFUL, and I like the idea of adding a splash of color on the back of the envelope when you use the sticker with the missing return address! Not only do I think no will notice the difference, they'll probably think it looks neat!

Not only did one of my relatives have a total cash bar at his reception, he also MADE PEOPLE PAY FOR THEIR OWN SOFT DRINKS! Only the water was free to drink.....I couldn't believe it! I have never had to buy a soda at a formal wedding reception before -- "cheap! cheap! cheap!" (They should have had birds announcing that as people walked into the wedding, to remind them not to leave their wallets out in the car if they were thirsty during the summer heat!)

Crazy......so BEYOND CHANCE!!! That kid and his parents will have an incredible story to tell for the rest of his life!

I agree -- this is harder than I thought it would be! Here's my 5 most random things: 1) My older sister was born exactly 2 weeks before her due date on my Grandfather's 50th Birthday; I was born 2 years later, exactly 2 weeks after my due date on my Granmother's 50th Birthday. (Without induced labor or "trying" it, my Mom had given BOTH of her parents a grandchild on their respective 50th BIRTHDAYS! Weird, right? 2) I am the only left-handed person in my family. 3) I met washed-up One-Hit wonder Vanilla Ice at a local bar here at home on my 25th birthday, and he bought me a drink. 4) I was jazz-dance competition champion in the state in 1995. 5) Even though I have a degree in Journalism from Penn State University, my ultimate dream is to open a gourmet soup cafe someday (called SouperStar Cafe) and I want to name all of the menu items after my favorite celebrities (and a few family members, just for fun!)

I plan on ordering mine from Roberta at Plumeria's Wedding Flowers Boutique online, since the work I've seen of hers posted by other brides here on BDW is just gorgeous, and everyone has had nothing but great things to say about her, but I don't know if you'd have an issue getting them in Canada or not. Maybe check out her site at http://www.plumeriasweddingflowerboutique.com/ to see what she can do for you? Overall, I think your flowers are pretty, but I see what you mean about them being a little less than "full", especially next to the book for scale. Do you have a local craft store like Michael's you could take it to, and have them add additional flowers to help fill it out? You could probably have them fix it for less than $30. Or maybe you could order another couple of bouquets and have them all rearranged and tied together, so that all the flowers match? Maybe the stems won't be long, but you'll still have more volume. And then there is always the possibility to just return it and keep looking to see if you can find something else from another vendor.... I'm so sorry you're having such a tricky time with your flowers, but at least you've still got some time to work with to make sure you are able to get the bouquet of your dreams!

I LOVE THAT VIDEO.....I think they might have been the first couple I saw on the internet to do an non-traditional, choreographed routine for their 1st dance, and now the trend has swept the nation! There is even a I show on now called "Rock the Recpetion" (on TLC, I think) where couples surprise their guests with wild, over the top dance numbers -- IT'S SO MUCH FUN to watch how people react! If you can't have a little fun at your reception, then what is the point, right? Thanks for sharing!

WOW.....I have heard some ridiculous nonsense in my day, but that just might OFFICIALLY take the cake! Josee, I am truly stunned and don't know what to say except I am SO SORRY that you have to go through all of this absurdity. I can't imagine someone's father making up lies to get out of walking his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day -- it just boggles my mind. And I agree with the others; you will need to confront him! Did his girlfriend know that he had lied to you, and slipped telling you, or did she tell you because she feels bad and thinks you have the right to know?
