You're gonna LOVE being a part of this amazing forum!!! My best advice as you start down the road to your wedding day would be just to take your time and do lots of research before you book or buy anything (attire, flowers, you name it!) and make sure it's all that you've envisioned for your BIG DAY! And that's where this phenomenal site comes in: BDW has proven to be invaluable in my planning, and it's comforting to know that there are other brides and grooms out there experiencing the same highs and lows during their planning process -- a friend is always just on the other side of your computer screen! Congratulations and Welcome to BDW...it's a wedding-planning paradise!

What a living nightmare that must have been after she was told!! I would have been utterly MORTIFIED, and more so FURIOUS with my bridal party and mother for not having the decency to make me aware of the fact that my underwear were on display for all of my guests! That is almost as bad, if not WORSE, than walking down the aisle with toilet paper hanging off of one of your shoes, or having the back of your dress tucked into your pantyhose, right?! GEESH! I know there is a lot going on during someone's wedding day, but a "Hey, how does the back of the dress look?" check would have been all that was necessary to avert the dress catastrophe! Hopefully her memories of her wedding day are not forever tarnished by this bridal blunder!

HOW RUDE IS SHE, RIGHT?!?! WTF is all I can say....and your wedding is just around the corner, too, which makes it worse that she is acting this way all of a sudden. Could it be that she is jealous that you're getting married and she isn't? I mean, birthdays happen once a year, but come on! It's your wedding, for "F" sake! I think that is mostly what her problem must be. Maybe you can speak to her privately, and just say, "Hey, what you said the other day really hurt my feelings. If it were you getting married, wouldn't you want me to genuinely be excited for you? Wouldn't it hurt your feelings if I, as your best friend, acted like I could care less about something that is so important in your life?" and then MAYBE she will get the hint. GOOD LUCK, SWEETIE, and no matter what, your BDW girls are here for you!

Just a quick FYI -- not all Sottero & Midgley's start with JSM (mine is actually RSM1038 ), but when I did a search, JSM 1079 is also the style number that came back for this beautiful dress! Unlike the dresses from the Maggie Sottero line that get pretty feminine names for the style, the S&M line seems to be all codes, and each season I think is differentiated by the beginning letters....either way, it looks like you may have found your gown, Melissa!

You look absolutely FABULOUS, Michele!!! Love the dress, love the veil, LOVE YOU IN IT!!! CONGRATULATIONS -- you must be just thrilled about how stunning you look in all of your Maggie gown's gloriousness! Your grin is just adorable in the last pic...glad you're so happy, because you should be, girl!

Sending you hugs and good thoughts....and hoping that things work out for the best (ie. he comes around and decides that he needs to support his daughter during this very special, memorable time in her life and he should put himself aside for her happiness!!!)

I HEAR YA', SISTER!!! My biggest issue with the otherwise "love of my life" is the DAMNED alarm clock!!! Yes, I will admit that I too am guilty of hitting it once or twice, but he has 3 alarms set on his cell phone (about 5 minutes apart!) and they go off every few minutes for close to an hour.....and I have to leave the bathroom where I am almost always up, out of bed, and getting ready before him!) only to say -- SHUT IT OFF ALREADY!!! We don't carpool, thank goodness, but if one of our cars is in the shop, and we have to share a car or something, he has made the unfortunate mistake of making ME WAIT, and I think he learned a very valuable lesson NOT to do that again! LISA GIRL, I feel ya, for sure.....MAKE HIM put all of his things in a little basket or something by the door for 30 days, and after that, it will be such a habit that you just may break him of his irritating "gathering" routine for life! -
