  1. I almost suggested The Help for next month! i think I am going to go ahead and read it. I would be up for this this!
  2. I got 2 of these as well, 8:20 and 8:45 last night. I was figuring it was some sort of mass spam.
  3. I pretty sure I've never seen a US ice cream chain in Negril. The ice cream in JA is different than in the US, its a lot creamier. The most well know chain there in Devon House, there are shops on almost every corner! I haven't seen any novelties in store though, just the regular ice cream. You may want to ask your WC.
  4. I think you can find what you are looking for anywhere in the Caribbean. I would say, you first need to narrow it down to a couple of countries. If price is a concern, I would check out airfares to various places. For example, we fly out of Houston or Dallas. I wanted to go to St. Lucia for vacay, but flights were nearly $800, so that got knocked out. I would start like that. Then, check out tripadvisor.com. You can get a ranking of top resorts in each country. Â I personally got married in a small hotel in Jamaica, and I know there are a lot of beautiful small hotels there. But, in my researching for vacation spots, I have fallen in love with Tulum in Mexico. It is a small town, not touristy at all, if you stay away from Dreams, and has beautiful ruins to discover. It also has the second largest barrier reef in the world, if you're into snorkeling and/or SCUBA. Â What you are looking for is out there, it is just going to take a bit of time and patience to find that perfect spot. Don't give up! Good Luck!
  5. ummm, wow, just wow! I don't think I have ever even heard of such a thing!
  6. I don't think any of those are all that great of options. I agree that with #1, it sort of takes something away from your beach ceremony. #2 - While our wedding is one of the most important days of our lives, it not worth losing family over. I know plenty of people get married without their parents present for one reason or another, but if you have a good relationship with them, why put that under unnecessary strain? If you really think they are going to be that upset by not being there, I would say try to postpone it. #3- You only get one (first) wedding. You may always regret not having it on the beach. Â I agree with this. Would it be possible to move your date back a few months? If you have your AHR booked for the end of April, maybe have the DW the week before? This would give your dad a few more months to recover, and hopefully by able to travel by then.
  7. I LOVE both of the dresses! And, WOW, you are brave, buying a dress without trying it on, but I'm so glad it worked out, and you love the dress. Congrats!!!
  8. My book came yesterday, and I read about 65 pages into it! One of the people with a quote on the back of the book said they read it in 2 days, I can def see that. I will be out of town tomorrow night, and at the hair dresser on Sat, so I can see myself finishing it my Sat or Sun. It really is pretty enticing, I didn't want to stop reading, but I had to go to bed! I can't wait to get further into it!
  9. These are always my favorite! I love the coloring in the 3rd picture.
