Lisa - First of all I LOVE that he trys all this stuff on for you and lets you take pics! Second, My favorite is the white shirt and linen pants (that are not white). I think you can leave the other GM with the same color pants since their shirts will be blue. thats my opinion!

I love the tikki torches idea...but how will you get them all down there or do you plan on buying them there? This might sound a little crazy but what about beach chairs? You could line them up and drape towels or fabric over them could be weird but also beachy and cute!

My FI is also flawless in this area! He's NEVER left the seat up! However his brother just stayed with us this weekend and I nearly fell in because he left it up!

I'm sorry your going through this. Remember that when you're going through a rut with a person EVERYTHING they do tends to annoy you and piss you off, many of those things annoy you more than they ever would on a normal day if you werent already at your witts end with them. My advice to you, if possible, is to distance yourself. Be kind and respectful but keep your distance and don't let her become OVERLY involved in your life and your wedding planning. When she asks questions give genric answers or say you've already taken care of it. You DONT want this to ruin your relationship with FI. If you think there is a chance at resovling things, try reading this article about what causes anger. aw we've all been through this! Here is where I would start.... a date. I picked one and then narrowed down resorts based on which still had my date available. I became set on my date and it made things easier when the resorts werent available (it was like a sign or something!) Also, a budget. How much do you want guests to spend? How much do you want to spend? Also where do you picture yourself getting married....on a beach? in a gazebo? a garden area? then going through pics and seeing which locations are better than others. Those were allll my starting out thoughts and thats what helped! good luck!

Sharon, also....with destination weddings you generally don't talk to the wedding planner about flowers, music, etc until 2 months before hand.....at least with big AI resorts & stuff. This is what I was told too and many girls on my thread, and I think that part is normal

We chose AI - no question! Mainly because we wanted our guests to not have to worry about anything. We wanted to be able to give them a price and have everything included so they could budget for the exact cost of the trip with no surprises. Of course I loved the wedding location at the resort I found so that was a big plus too. We also have A LOT of young people coming to the wedding so the alcohol included was a big plus for us!

aw...you sound super stressed. Most of us had no idea what we were doing in the beginning too! Once you find a resort things fall into place and get so much easier. Have you talked to a TA about helping narrow down some options? Maybe an expert will give you some piece of mind! Good Luck, I totally know how you feel!

Hey ladies Thanks for all the well wishes!!! The day went amazing. We were told to show up at 12:30 but didnt go into the court room until about 1:30 (we were waiting on the judge). The whole thing lasted about 3 minutes and she said a few brief vows and we each had to say "i do". We also chose to exchange rings (just random rings since we havent picked ours out yet) so we did that and then she pronounced us husband and wife! She gave us a marriage certificate but said the "real" one won't be available for 10 days and we can either pick it up or they can mail it to us. Then we went out to lunch (my parents paid) and then dinner (his parents paid)! I have pics but they are on my home computer, I promise to post tonight!! I'm excited to share them with you because nobody else knows or can see! Also- about the invitations, I did STD's so I'm sending mine out in early August. Hope that helps and thanks again girls! I'll watch it too....it is kinda weird though IMO I feel like people are attracted to all different types of people. Its not like all skinny girls date skinny guys and vice versa...... I'm looking forward to that show (no idea what its called) Love in the Dark maybe Where they put people it total darkness and see who they match up with!!! That sounds more my style but i'm a reality TV junkie so chances are I'll watch anything!
