My mom wanted to add a little starfish to the bottom left corner, which turned out really cute....until we realized they were really fragile. We did a test and each mailed ourselves one, and when we got them the starfish were unrecognizable (smashed!). So after using glue dots to put on these little starfish on all 120 invites....we're now stressing about how to fix the issue...........ah! Thats where I'm at and I'm sorry I can't chat more d/t new restrictions at work! I need to post more from home

sorry I've been so MIA lately ladies! I'm pretty sure they're tracking my internet use at work so i have to be extra careful! On top of that I had an ovarian cyst rupture and was in extreme pain and out of work for a few days.....now I'm way behind! I'm so excited Des is back and that she had a fabulous time! Can't wait to hear about her trip :) I finished my invitations and I'll post pics tonight!!

Lisa! No I really havent gotten anywhere. I'm standing up in a wedding this weekend, so I keep telling myself once I get through that I'll be home free to focus on my own wedding! But I do plan on getting them started in the next 2 weeks or so! I promise to tell you ASAP when i get going

haha i totally did that too. we registered for some stuff a while ago and i went to add/remove/update and noticed several items were bought. Then my great aunt (she's SO sweet) sent me all of my flatware early because she was so excited and didnt want to wait for the shower!!!!!! congrats it definitely IS happening!

I was in a similar situation and I literally called my BM and just explained it to her. She was a close friend, afterall. I said "I really want you to stand up with me, but I didn't want you to feel obligated to come, so I wanted to check with you first to see how you are financially and to make sure that you know I completely understand if you cannot make it......just want you to know how important you are to me" In my case, she accepted, and several weeks later I formally asked her with a cute message in a bottle! Hope that helps, I'd just be honest!

haha yes! but in 2 weeks your ticker will say "2 months and ____" so that's pretty weird!!

I struggled with this forever and initally wanted it to be just me, fi, and our immediate families....because I KNEW that if I invited 1 close friend, I'd have to invite them all...in the end we invited everyone, but my parents are paying and that is why! I couldnt have afforded to do it myself and I think your idea of you and fi in Maui and an AHR is a beautiful idea. You could also have a symbolic ceremony in Maui and go to JOP with your family so they could witness the legal part? just a thought best wishes! I've found that if you stick to your gut you're usually the happiest!
