Thank you guys for listening. Her sisters, mother, and I have been stressing over this for weeks. Hopefully they will get their sh*t together and pick up the damn phone. I know its stupid to be worried about paying the extra $, but when 95 people are sent an invitation, the difference between who may show and who actually shows can be huge! 50 favors vs 95 favors is a difference of $100 right there. Forget about doubling the food, adding the extra tableware, etc.

You think this is bad. My poor friend is going through hell with the whole wedding process too. That side of the guest list still has people with no last names, no addresses, etc. Basically this woman wants wedding invites sent with only first names on them since she can't remember some last names. ( I would assume they must not be that important then) Also wants invites sent to people to pass along to others because she doesn't remember their address. My friend has been asking her for a year now, and still nothing. Forget me trying to get phone numbers from her. Her future SIL is in the wedding, and ignores my texts, emails, and calls. Her side of the family has gotten in fights with his side. Its just a bad situation all together, and we are afraid that they are doing this out of spite. Its so unfair for her that they are making this so difficult.

So, I need to vent this to the only place it won't get me in trouble... I am throwing my best friend's bridal shower, which is sucking up a good chunk of $ that could be going to my wedding. I am paying for favors, centerpieces, decor, and all the tableware. Of course the stuff I am paying for needs to be ordered at least 3 weeks in advance so I can have it here in time. Well, her lovely future MIL calls me today and explains that their family are not exactly the "RSVP type." That apparently they all just show up without calling. Mind you, 95 invites went out. What the eff do I do? Do I assume all these people will show up? Do I order enough tableware, favors and centerpieces for that many people? What the heck if they don't all show? Then what. I spent about $200 extra on stuff when I could have put that $ toward my wedding. Do I only order enough for the people who RSVP, the the rest are SOL?

Hmmm...no surgeries for me. Never even broke a bone. But I may have my own personal record of unfortunate events. During my pregnancy I saw 4 different doctors for 4 different problems, with appointments 3-4 times every week. I was high risk, so I had an ultrasound every week, I had to have a thyroid biopsy done twice (18 needles in the throat), a 2 day stay in the hospital for blood clots in my lungs, a CAT scan, lung scan, leg ultrasounds, chest x rays, and a breast biopsy. All in a matter of less than 9 months. Fun!!!! And believe it or not, I want more kids after all that!

I am having the same issue. I found perfect earrings and they happened to be on sale, but the matching bracelet was sold out. My favorite items so far have been the Nadri or Eliot Danori brand that Macys and Lord and Taylor carry. Thats a tough call. I am a psycho when it comes to ex stuff, so my crazy self would have thrown them away that instant. But when I take my personal craziness out of it, I am left thinking that one day, when you are very old, your memory may fail you. You will want old letters to look back and reflect on. Good and bad. I still have every card that anyone, even exes, have given me. Just for that reason. I store them away in boxes, and many, many years from now, when my memory isn't so strong, it will be nice to have them. I don't think it takes anything away from you that they are from his ex and that he has them. Thats just my 2 cents though.

This may sound crazy, but a few years ago I went to school to get certified in Massage Therapy. Classes were 3x a week for about 4 hours at a time. We obviously had to practice what we were learning on each other, and for some reason or another, everyone was shy about getting on the table to be practiced on. (I don't know why, we had our clothes on and it was a free massage!) Well anyway, I had no problem laying there for hours and getting massages. Because there were about 8 of us, there were people constantly massaging different parts simultaneously, so my legs were getting a bulk of the work. I noticed a few months into the class that ALL of my cellulite was gone! For some reason or another, the constant massaging seemed to smooth my legs. I don't know why it happened, but all I can say is it was an obvious and incredible change. Unfortunately that was 5 years ago, and of course I have more now.I bought that Nivea lotion for cellulite and basically massage the crap out of my thighs every day, and am seeing some result.

Are we allowed to recommend our wedding planners? I have mentioned her name to some of the other Bermuda brides who were looking for a planner. Mine isn't a travel agent and only handles weddings as far as I know. I would never want to do something I shouldn't be doing.

I don't think they should either, since non members get to participate too. It seems only fair. I guess it would depend on the reason they were banned maybe.
