I am trying to select the music for my ceremony and I don't have any idea how many songs I need. How many songs did or will you be using for your ceremony and what are they connected to? For example, 1 song for the wedding party to walk to, etc. Thanks so much, I am at such a loss!!

Hello Ladies, I was looking for something to add to my BM's gifts that weren't expensive but were cute and I thought of sarongs. I like option 1. I think that both will be beautiful but that with option 1 the focus will be your center stone. Also it will look great to get a second eternity band for something and have one on top and one on bottom.

Okay I am on day like 8 of the shred (I have been working out for like 11 days missed 3 total). This workout is NOT getting easier!! Perhaps I need to start doing 2 a days. When did it start getting easier for every? Did you go to level 2 when level 1 was easier or did you just switch it up after a while?

I don't know if you are using a TA but I set guest travel dates with mine. I told him that I wanted guest gone by a certain date, if people wanted to stay for a while they were asked to come earlier rather than staying late. My TA handled this with most people and just said that the bride and groom have requested that all guest depart by this date so that their honeymoon may begin. I told him if anyone was dead set on staying during the honeymoon to let me know so that I could speak with them. I understand that this is their vacation (this is actually my motto) but that doesn't mean they get to do whatever they want in terms of my trip. If they want 10 days then 10 day prior or 10 days after shouldn't really matter. We decided against switching resort but I know that a lot of people do that. Good Luck!

Regarding their wedding coordinator. When I first started planning I was dealing Guillermo, then he moved to another area of the resort. Then came Guadalupe aka Lupita. Her email says Guadalupe, she signs her email and calls herself Lupita when we talk to her. Now we were told that she is having a baby and will be leaving soon. In come Alana, she is supposed beginning to take over and then Lupita will be back in May. I am soooo very happy to have 2 other active brides getting married at the Valentin to chat with!! Ashley

I had trouble deciding who to invite also. I ended up inviting my grade level because we are all very close. Out of the 6 of them 2 are coming. I wasn't sure about my Principal but decided not to. We are not close and I don't think that she would feel like I should have invited her. It is hard though, there are several other people I am torn about inviting them our AHR.

Colby2277-Did you get your aloe recently? That is something I am watching for. Also just an FYI-when I contacted the Valentin today I was today that Lupita is going on leave as she is expecting a baby. She will return in May, just in time for June weddings. While she is gone Alana will be taking her place. She seems very on top of things and wants to get plans squared away. It looks like Hailadam, Colby2277, and I will all be at the Valentin right around the same time. I will actually be there for Hailadam's wedding.

My FI and I have decided not to do anything huge. We are trying to save money and the day in itself kind of drives me crazy! So commercial. I might be the odd ball but I would rather get flowers or a small gift on a random day than on Valentine's day. I think we are going to do a nice dinner at home. Maybe some crab legs and movie. Maybe home-made chocolate covered strawberries for dessert!

V, We are getting married on a Thursday. I don't really think it matters on the day. We planned a Tuesday-Saturday trip for our guest and the wedding will be on Thursday. We figured that most guest would be staying 5 days 4 nights. So we thought of that period when picking our wedding day. I don't know how fast dates book at all hotels but my TA said as soon as we pick a date to reserve it.

I have decide against Koozies and think I want to go with large plastic cups. If you have done large cups, where did you get them? I am hoping to find bright colors and then write guests names on them. Thanks so much!

I feel like I am in the same boat! My weight just keeps going up and down, up and down. I feel like it really isn't going anywhere my scale is just broken!! I have been working out and eating much better. Not great but better. No fast food, no soda, smaller portions. Still I feel like nothing is happening. I have 4 months and 2 weeks until my big day! I really want to lose about 20lbs.

Hailey, I am doing gift bags. So far I have purchased bags from old navy and the following items to fill them. First aid kits (Dollar Tree)-taking out some band-aids adding more medicine flashlights (mom insisting, $1 walmart) Spanish for Dummies book (target $1) Bug wipes (some reviews have mentioned bugs)-Clearance at Target Hand sanitizer Sunscreen (only going in single guys bags-Dollar Tree) Soduko/Word search books ($1 each) We are going to add some snacks and things as well. We are planning to make a trip to Costco before our guest arrive. I think we are going to add beach balls too (as filler). I am still debating on Koozies. I don't really think they will be that useful because most drinks are served in glasses. A lot of people put big glasses in the bags because glassware at the bar is small.

My FI lost both of his parents nearly 5 years ago. They died within 4 months of each other. His mom died of breast cancer and his dad died from a heart attack. As a family we just went through our first wedding together without them (FI's brother). It was very difficult as we are going through a lot of first without them lately (first grandchild was also recently born) His brother asked for donations to the Susan B. Komen foundation instead of gifts. I have also seen where instead of giving your guest a gift for coming, you place a small frame on each table stating that a donation has been made to a foundation in the names of your guests. If we were getting married here we would be doing that. Anyway, we can't do anything like pictures because I think it would be to hard on everyone. So this is what I am thinking... FI's dad had a very special bible that I am hoping to incorporate into the ceremony. Then I was thinking of having a special piece of jewelry attached to his boutonniere (something indescret). I am also planning on have one of my somethings be his moms. I think this is a great post, thanks for all of the ideas.

There is a big posting about Visitaprints somewhere on the site. Once you purchase something from them you will get a ton of emails for free offers. I have bought a lot of stuff from them and have never paid for anything but shipping. Just a note there over-sized postcards do not say vistaprints on them. There regular sized ones say it very small on them.

Okay so not really but... We are having our 2nd snow day in a row tomorrow and don't get me wrong typically teachers love snow days. That is unless you have a plan to catch to MEXICO. With tomorrows snow day we will be at 4. Which takes my school schedule up to the Wednesday before we leave! We leave Monday morning at 6:00. I was hoping to have week before the wedding to finalize stuff. While everyone else is celebrating the snow I am cursing it!! Oh, well I can't fight mother nature. I guess I will be forced to go build a snowman or have a snowball fight tomorrow!!

Okay I had to read this post, calm down and then read it again before I could reply. If this were me I would be FURIOUS!!! My initial response would be to un-invite her through Facebook! I would post a nice little note saying we didn't need her at the wedding and that perhaps she should start thinking about growing up and not focusing on herself! After calming down, I would still say that something must be said to her. I agree with Tlseege, in that she needs to understand what she is doing and that this is not her event. I would also ask her to either take down her early post, or post a new one with a better attitude. Ashley
