I have debating on sending out official invitations. We have already sent out STD's and are planning on sending out a newsletter or something to those coming. We are having an AHR that we will be sending out invitations for. What are your thoughts on not sending out official wedding invitations?

Ladies, Those of you who are doing OOT bags, are you and your loved ones bringing down all of the stuff OR are you shipping it early? I am thinking about shipping some stuff ahead of time. I am starting to feel really stressed internally!

Yeah! I read this post initially at 2:30 in the morning, the next day I was up at at Target. I had to go to 3 Targets to get enough but I got them!!! I live in St. Louis and we also have Spanish phrases and then daily Spanish. I will say that after looking through them the Spanish phrases I think will be more beneficial for guest. I was sooooo very excited to find them, I was going to make them but know I don't need to!!! This site is amazing, thank you so much to the first poster!!!!

We have been together for 6 1/2 years. We will be married on our 7 year anniversary in June. We are beating his brother who married his wonderful wife on their 11 year anniversary!!

I can't see the photos but I would love to. This is something I have been thinking about doing but can't decide.

Started collecting some stuff for OOT bags Bought starfish charms off ebay (for the fans maybe?) Found hair style for the big day Upcoming on the list... Decide on photographer-resorts or bringing one in? Order fans Starting looking at mens outfits (I found a place I think I am going to order them from) Decide on newsletter or flyer to send out to those coming

Has anyone seen reviews or pics from the Valentine on the site? I haven't but I think there are already been a couple brides from the site married there? I just had some family friends get back and they said the food was fabulous! When they were there (in November), the area was coming off 30 days of rain and they said the mosquitoes were pretty bad. Hopefully with a summer date I won't have to worry about that. They are not really picture people but are supposed to be sending me a couple. If and when I get them I will post! Only 6 months till the big day!! I have so much to do!!!

Are you going to use an outside photographer? Is so who? I am really trying to decide on that. Good pictures are really important to me. It looks like the only real difference is the price. I would image that a lot of people go with the cheaper ones, but things really add up!! I am using the raffia ones.

I agree with everyone, you need to do what will make you happy. We are getting married in Mexico June 2009 and then having a get together in town in July. We are going to Mexico to get away from the tradition wedding thing so we are not having a traditional reception when we get back. We are going to do an open-house style event. We are planning on having heavy appetizers and drinks. We are going to have a slideshow of all of our pics and some beach decorations. It will probably be a sun-dress occasion. I hope everything works out!

My vote is for #1!!

Have you at least narrowed your search to an area? Like Rivieria Maya or Cabo? I was trying to decide between Mexico and Jamaica, so I looked at travel options. Flight schedule, etc. That helped me pick Mexico. Then I told my travel agent what I wanted in a resort. He sent me a bunch of info and then I narrowed it down to Riveria Maya. Then I read up on the resorts he recommended there and then picked one. It is very stressful to decide because you are wanting to pick a place that everyone will enjoy and that most of all YOU will like.

Hey Ladies, This question may have already been asked and answered but...Those did Koozies did you think they were it? Did the guest seem to use them? I was planning on having them in Mexico and then at the AHR.

Hi, I have had a lot of contact with Lupita (the WC) at the Valentine. It was Guillermo but he has now moved into another area of the resort. They seem to have a lot of problems with their internet and email (I have a few friends that live outside the states and this is normal for them, so I think it may be normal). I would try calling the phone number on the website. The one that says from the United States. When they answer just asked for Lupita in Weddings. It took me 2 times to get her, the first time they said she was not in. The person who answers the phone typically does not speak English but Lupita does and is very nice. They just had a wedding for 115 people this past weekend and are planning one for 250 in November, needless to say they are very busy. Just to let you know you will need to fax them you ID and a credit card in order to put down a deposit and get a confirmation. Hope this helps. **I have a few friends who are there right now!
