Well, I have to say that DH and I LOVED the French restaurant. At first glance the menu may seem scary but I had french onion soup, a steak, and then something delicious for dessert. The french restaurant is beautiful. We also loved the Japanese restaurant, if you are having a small group one of the grills would be awesome. If the group is a bit bigger, they have tables too. The indo restaurant and Italian were great too! The Mexican restaurant was nice but was not our favorite. If they will let you wait to decide I would do that. Get there, look at the menus, see what is open on which nights, check out the areas and then decide. They may have a themed buffet on your wedding night and that could be fun too. They could give you a section for your group. **Just remember if you get your meal and the portions are small...order more. If you get your food and you don't like it order something else. If you eat your dinner and get hungry later, order room service! The lobster pot and steak house are connected and are open air restaurants. If it is raining it can come through the roof (and it did on DH and I). With my experience they look at your group size and suggest various spots. I did not have to pay extra for the terrace but I have 38 people. If you had a small group they may encourage you to use somewhere else.

No, that bouquet was not included in the package, it is actually fake. I bought all my flowers from Roberta who I found on this site. I loved them and saved so much money as flowers were pretty expensive at VIM. I did get my bouquet as part of my package and used it as decoration for the sand ceremony table. It was beautiful, too!

Hello Ladies, This is my first negative review so bare with me. I ordered 150 Koozies from barrypromos off of ebay on July 2nd. His prices were great $128 for 150 personalized Koozies. His communication was also great, when asking him questions prior to selecting the 'BUY NOW' button. One I purchased and paid for (through paypal) the koozies, communication became very slow and I didn't hear from him for 6 days, July 8th (posting says turn around to get koozies is 10 days). Once the proof was confirmed I never heard back from Barry. I contacted him on July 21, regarding the progress. He said that he would have them in the mail Monday July 27th. I never heard from him on Monday so I emailed him. He stated that they were WAY behind and that he GUARANTEED they would arrive by Friday July 30th. Thursday I emailed him to confirm delivery and he told me he would be unable to deliver by Friday and the earliest he could get them to me was Saturday at noon. Thankfully our AHR was for Saturday evening. The Koozies have arrived (I have not seen them yet). BUT I would hate for anyone else to have to go through what I did. I am sure there are other places with better time management that you could get your koozies from.

Claudia prints what is specified in the package but them gives you a CD with all the pictures she took. So we got the 8x10s, 5x10s, and 4x6s printed and then a CD with everything! Someone was asking about how long it took to get your pics. My wedding was June 11th and I got the pics around the 2nd week of July.

I love them all sooo much! Hope you enjoy! I would book Claudia again in a second!!

Hey girls, just checking in! I miss the Valentin so much!! At least once a day DH and I talk about how we wish we were there again. They were actually just advertising 7 nights including air for super cheap from St. Louis and if we didn't have work we would be on a plane!! I hope all is going well. I am going to post some professional photos in the Claudia Rodriguez thread.

That is kind of a rough title, sorry! My mom is insisting we have a handout at our AHR. I want to include a thank you in it. I would like to thank my parents (DH parents are deceased) and our families and friends. I am having a tough time because all the wording online is in regards to thanking those for coming to a 'wedding' Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hoopchic, I would try not to worry. I really feel that most of my communication a head of time was kind of unnecessary. Letting them know your ideas for location (beach, chapel, etc.), were good because it gave them and idea but with only one wedding a day in the end you can pick wherever you want. We let them know flowers, cake, dinner, location, etc. when we arrived on Monday (wedding was Thursday). If you are not arriving with some time before your wedding then they would probably need to know your cake and perhaps flowers. Also some things were given to us that we thought we would have to pay for. I wonder if we had confirmed them ahead of time if we would have been charged. Our guests loved the resort and still talk about it all the time, because of their response we are debating a reunion trip next year! *I am kind of hit or miss on the forum now that my wedding is over but PM me if you have any questions!

My DH asked both sets of parents (mine are divorced) prior to asking me. I really liked that he did. I know that my parents really like it also. They would not have been upset had he not asked but it allowed him to have some great conversation with the parents. Plus it is another story to add to the books!

My DH's mom bought a charm for each of her children when they were born. DH's oldest sister gave me his charm prior to leaving for Mexico. I attached the charm to my bouquet as a special way to include his mom in the ceremony. We also had 2 empty chairs with roses on them at the ceremony. I don't know if your FI has anyone close to him to dance with at the reception/dinner but my DH danced with his sister to a special song at dinner. There was not a dry eye anywhere to be found. The point was not to make everyone cry but it really meant a lot to DH's and his family.
