necklace?
soon2bePowers replied to ~*Lisa*~'s topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I have decided because of my dresses neckline not to where a necklace (as if right now, I often change my mind!). I am going to wear earrings and a bracelet. -
I would love some info too. I used to take a One a day but haven't in a long time. Recently I started having smoothies for breakfast, I use 1 banana, some soy milk and a scoop of GO LEAN energy shake mix. It has lots of stuff in it, tastes good all together, and keeps me full time lunch and beyond.

Asparagus, edamame, smart-pop popcorn for me! I am also a cheese freak, I am dieting so I am limiting myself to 1 light string cheese or 1 piece of cheese a day! I could eat cheese all day long!!

I confirmed my date and then they did ask for my travel agent to send confirmation. At that point I had put down a deposit for me and was holding spots for my travelers. My booking went like this (if I remember right). I was in contact with a TA but had not put money down. He told me that if the Valentin was what I wanted I needed to reserve my date. I emailed the Valentin to reserve. They wanted confirmation from my TA and $800 deposit. SO, I put a $2000 deposit with my TA (this held 40 spots for travelers @ $50 a spot). As my guest booked that freed up my $50 for their spot and then that money went towards my trip. My TA gave me a date in which I had to let go of any spots not booked (this way I got my $50 that was holding it back and I wasn't out any money). I hope that was clear. If you are not booking with a TA I am not sure how you would go about this. Most if not all of their information says it can change at anytime without notice. I will say that from 2008-2009 the things that changed with the "unforgettable" package were, you no longer got a natural centerpiece, and they began specifying how many guest the package was for (25) prior to that it said all wedding party members staying at the resort. I am not sure about the other packages. I will say after dealing with them through email and on the phone, the phone is easier but with that you don't have anything in writing. Hope this helps and soon you will have lots of reviews to check out!

Talk about fast reply! I sent Roberta a quote request about an hour ago and within 20 minutes I had a reply back from her! My date is cutting it close but hopefully she will be able to make my flowers too! -

Something about it to me just says beachy. Where did you order yours from?

I just sent a request in, her site says she does not have shipping dates prior to my day but if the request is small enough she may be able to fit them in! I hope that she can squeeze me in, her work looks amazing!! I am planning on using the bouquets as center pieces at the reception dinner and the AHR. -
Do I get a say in my bachelorette?
soon2bePowers replied to lgarner83's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I am somewhat having the same issue. I am not a big drinker by any means and my BM's know that but at least one of them has said but you really need to just let go and drink a bunch. Only problem with that is that is not really me and I don't really enjoy it. Why would I go into something knowing that I won't enjoy it. I plan to talk with all my BM's about what I want, hopefully if you do the same they will respect your wishes. -
Hey Ladies June 11th at the Valentin Riviera Maya Booked our trip About 35 people booked Dress bought and here In the process of finding BM's dress Raffia Fans Ordered OOT Bags almost complete Looking at options w/resort Ordered Sand Ceremony Booked Photographer-Claudia Still Need to: Decide on BM's dress (a lot of the below stuff depend on this-colors) Decide on menswear Finalize monogram Decide on flowers (real $70 each bouquet or fake?) Plan AHR That's all I can think of for now!

If you are carry your items on then you will have to deal with the certain sizes and in a ziplock bag thing. If you are going to check them, then you should be fine with everything. At first I was going to have the resort pass them out but then I realized that the bulk of my guest will be arrive at 2 times on the same day. So know I think we are going to hang out at the pool near the lobby and then meet our guests. I think they will like the welcome. If this doesn't work out then I will just have the resort pass them out.

Hoopchic, My travel agent is having nothing to do with my wedding. He is doing travel plans for some (but not all) of my guests. While a large part of my group is traveling the same dates, not all of them are. I reserved the date with the Valentin on my own. I would try going with this angle. I reserved my date by putting down the $800 deposit. I think that my travel agent had to send something to them saying that I was booking rooms with them bit there was not a certain number of rooms. I hope this helps.

Okay Ladies, I just got several long emails from Alana, which include a new wedding package brochure and a spa price list (which I am attaching). They have changed some things including the fact that the packages include things for 25 guests. Anymore more than that is $41 per person (not the $10, I was originally quoted). She also sent me some pictures and one document that I can't open on my home computer so I will have to try at work. She still needs to send me the update menu. She somewhat answered a bunch of questions, so when I have time to go through them all I will post them too. Nothing was really cleared up and I only have new questions. My biggest question that I am going to try to get answered is...what does normal set up look like? If you have to pay extra of chair covers and bows, what do the chairs alone look like. Are any centerpieces provided and if so what do they look like. If you have the answer to those, please share!! wedding package Valentin Imperial.doc Menu SPA VIM.doc

Okay, so I have been to lots of wedding and have even been in several but I don't know the parts of a ceremony. I am trying to get an idea of our ceremony and I don't know where to start. I know that many brides plan their entire ceremony, what are the steps or parts and in what order are they done? We are planning on doing a sand ceremony, where does that fit in? *I tried to search for this and didn't find it, if there is already a posting let me know. Guest Seated Groom/Groomsmen arrive Bridesmaids walk Bride ? What next? Thank you so much, I am at such a loss!!

I found these earrings and necklace at Macy's. I thought that they were really cute. They are sterling silver. I think they originally were both like $60 each. But with sales and stuff they were like half off and then an additional 20% off. I think we got the earrings and necklace for like $40 total. My mom and I got one set to share and then I bought another set to hold onto as a possible gift. My FSIL has been doing a lot for the wedding and I thought this would be a cute themed thank-you. Sorry for the quality of the photos I took them with my iphone.
