The resort I'm going with actually has a centerpiece that they're offering which was nice. They were charging about $35 each, so not bad, especially because it will save me from having to lug everything down with me. I'm still looking around for options here too, but at least that's a back-up plan for now. I'm glad you found ones you liked at the Dollar Store. I love going there...never know what you might find )
  2. I just drove around the city to three different Michael's locations to round up those travel cards. I always loved them before, but kept holding off on buying them. It paid off as they are now on sale and I got them for $0.75 (CAD) each! I'm so excited! I'm going to be putting stickers with our theme on the front. I can get real flower centerpiece for $15... does anyone of a suggestion where I might be able to go? Have you contacted your wedding co-ordinator down there to see how much the fresh alternative will be from a florist they know/use? I know they usually hike up the prices at the resorts, but it may still be cheaper if your arrangement's not too complicated. Worth the try...
  3. I think that's an awesome idea. I can just imagine your pictures in my head. It'll look amazing. You'll definitely have to post pics!
  4. I love the fourth one. I think it's really simple and classy and I don't think it'll clash with your dress at all. The others are beautiful as well, so I'm sure you'll look stunning regardless of which one you choose. Good luck!
  5. Great pictures! I have to agree with the others here and say that the train shot is my favourite. What an awesome picture!
  6. I can't believe I just found these right now! Here I am trying to get my sister who's a flight attendant to do these for me while she's on a layover somewhere. Haha. Thank you so much, JM! This totally saves me a lot of time!

  8. OMG...I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to you, but I'm glad to hear you're doing well! That was truly an awesome thing they did for you...very sweet. Happy (and quick) recovery!
  9. Thanks for posting the pics. I was thinking of doing something similar before. I was going to get my brother in law to help me, but I never thought of bringing the brushes. What a cute idea!
  10. Would you be open to doing a symbolic ceremony at the destination you end up choosing and doing a legal ceremony at home? That may be an option as I'm pretty sure there are no day restrictions for symbolic ceremonies. Good luck!
  11. I love how the first one looks on you!!! Definitely my pick.
  12. I feel sooo bad, but I had such a rough day and really needed a good laugh...I got one! Thanks for posting!
