  1. I was just going to print the addresses directly on the envelopes, (pearly colored paper)...but now I am reading that some of you did the clear labels... Do they show up? I am afraid they will show. does anyone have a pic of it? Thanks
  2. Sounds like that could be a really convenient partnership. I have a wedding planner, and she comes with the package, lover her so far. All is done by email, easy enough for us. My aunt is taking care of guests travel, as she works for Carnival, who we are cruising with. If it makes you feel more at ease to have an extra link, then go for it. There is a lot of planning involved and lot's of details to oversee. Good luck!
  3. I won't be changing it...because in Quebec you are not allowed leagally. I would have liked to change it, for traditions sake Socially I will be known as Mrs D...and that will make me smile ! His family was upset I wouldn't change it, and still don't understand the law... His grandma was upset, but when I told her I will be Mrs D in my heart, she was happy. I guess it's a compliment from them, as wanting me to be "one of them"
  4. Check out this website: Wedding Obligations while getting married outside Canada It does not talk about lenght of time, but I do believe that it is 3 months max after date. We decided against Mexico, because it was just too complicated to get married there. As you need translated documents, both that you bring and bring back, blood test...aye! We opted for Grand Cayman, sooooo simple I would reccomend you contact the embassy and see what is required in your province as well, Best of luck
  5. An anniversary gift that would be amazing!!! We don't really have the budget, but especially not the time (we are cruising, and the wedding is at our last port). I was bummed not to do it...but a year or two later sounds like it would be a blast!
  6. making the website is so time consuming... took ME forever to chose a template, lol. Your website looks fab, congrats on the good work!
  7. Gorgeous, so romantic. It's hard for me to imagine, still, that I will have similar images, CAN"T wait!!!
  8. I will be putting my dress on at the GOH, and touching up my makeup. The beach is next door, so no travel time there. Hope we get all the pics we want. I plan on sending out a few "must-haves" and going with that. We were looking into David Wolfe as an option, as he shoots the GOH quite often.
  9. (repost from cruise forum, but more activity here) I have been wondering how long I need a photog for the day. We will be in Grand Cayman from 8am-3pm. I figured this schedule: 10 am: put dress on, final touches of getting ready (don't want him at salon) 1030: meet FI with my 2 girls, and his 2 boys...on the beach, formal pics 1130: back to the site for the ceremony 1200: pics with family and friends 1230: buffet lunch, first dance and all.... ... 200...the photog would leave 300 back to the ship! It is pretty pricey, and I think this schedule covers everything important! What do you think?

  14. You know, with a destination wedding, I am always thinking that I don't want to be too "fancy" and sparkly...BUT then I remember that it's my day, and I will wear what makes me feel comfortable and Beautiful. If you love the look of both then wear them. It's YOUR day! Do what you like
  15. Ladies, can you just walk in to a David's Bridal, say on a weekday morning? I want to take a preliminary look, and won't buy just yet. Have you guys done this?
