Where are you girls all going for your honeymoon? Are you staying at the same resort for two weeks or switching it up? Right now we are booked to stay two weeks at the same resort b/c most of our guests come fri-fri (including us) but some will be there until sunday so we want to stay there with them. Then another part of us wants to go somewhere else but it adds on another$2000 or so to do that cause the second week when staying at the same resort is always cheaper.

Welcome and congrats! I vote for jamaica or the bahamas! I was at a wedding at Dreams Punta Cana last year and the resort was beautiful but we wouldnt go back to the DR again. Have fun planning

I think this thread is so great but it also just made me more confused. Smashbox or Laura Mercier, no idea which way to go. I don't wear anything on my face ever. Just on my eyes(eyeliner, shadow and mascara) so I am really nervous about wearing foundation etc. I want to buy this stuff this summer when I am tan so I can get the right shades for how I will look come december at our wedding. Ugh

I dont think there is much you can do. People book when they want to book and feel comfortable booking. The only reason we had alot of people book right away is b/c we had a two week window in which people had to put down a deposit to hold the rate we got. You are getting married on my parents anniversary

Ok here is our stuff: FI's suit is a linen perry ellis suit (this is not a good picture of it but I couldnt find a better one online). He will wear a white shirt and a champagne colored tie, which we havent bought yet Groomsman: Linen pants from Banana in that color Khaki Stretch white dress shirts also from banana and this is a pic that FI sent me from the dressing room in banana of the finished look:

I agree with Darcy. A card to thank for sending a card? Are they going to then send one back saying thank you for your thank you card? Lol Ok that was silly I know. But I don't think I would send a thank you for a card, just for a gift. Unless you have a big budget and extra time and its not a hinderence to you

I almost had a friend b/c I knew she would be hurt if she wasnt in my wedding (I was the MOH in hers) but then I didnt think that was fair to my other friends who were my best friends and would have to have in place of one of them. In the end I didnt have her, and I can honestly say we are barely friends anymore b/c of it, which just goes to show I made the right decision if thats all it took for her to end a friendship. You have who YOU want to have. Its your day and you get to choose the people who are beside you, noone else does.

um yes! I was the same way as you. I had picked out flowy, chiffon, empire waist 'beachy' dresses and then got to the store and felt like i was wearing a nightgown in all those styles. Everything I thought I wanted was not what looked good on me. Im tall and thin and the flowy dresses made me look like a ruler (which, I guess i am) so in order to have curves I discovered mermaid style were the best on me and thats what I ended up getting in the end and am so happy! I wouldnt be discouraged, just keep looking. I am sure if landybridal is a wedding dress seamstress, that she will have made a dress with a corset before and she will be ablet o do one for you as well.

Do you mind sharing with us who you are getting? I am interested as well in getting one but don't want to break the bank!

I agree.. send them out as is. I am personally against including registry cards in invitations. If people want to know where you are registered, just say like what Jean-marcus mentioned above. Also, let close friends and family know that info as well so they can pass around the word if asked.

Our BM (FIs identical twin) will give the toast to the groom and I will ask one of my BM's to do the toast to the bride. I just don't know who I will ask yet. My sister is my MOH and she hates speaking in public, so thats why she isnt doing the toast. But yes, we are defnitely having the toast to the bride and toast to the groom.. plus welcome to the family from both sets of parents.

Thanks!! I know, I was not really looking to buy anything but just wanted to check out the sale, and there it was! Plus I am almost 6'2 so the fact that the sample was the right length for me, was amazing. Meant to be No not yet.. When I bought it, I ran over to the store on my lunch hour so I was alone. And other than my fiance none of my close friends/family live near me so I haven't had anyone to take a picture of me in it. I do have to get it taken in a bit but I'll try to get a picture in a couple weeks when my best friend is in town!
