I know jggm mentioned that ERC has a contract with PSAV for DJ services, but are we allowed to bring an outside DJ? Outside vendors are allowed so I don't see why not, but just wondering if anyone else has heard anything about it.

Congrats on booking your date, cowman1999! You are getting married in 7 months! Veronica should be able to send you the dinner and hors d'oeuvre menu, along with a list of wedding extras and their costs. Other than that, I don't think any of us have gotten anything about flower or cake options or anything like that yet. As far as staying in contact, I have been the one to initiate the emails (usually with a list of questions) but I figure since my wedding isn't until October, maybe she has no reason to email me right now. I've been driving myself nuts lately because I feel like there is so much to do, yet nothing I can do RIGHT NOW, you know?

I think it's so awesome that you chose a poofy princess gown for your TTD! Can't wait to see pics! Speaking of, have you posted a pic of your real wedding dress on the forum yet? I'm dying to see it!

Welcome! We had narrowed our choices down to DR and PDC also. We ended up going with the PDC area, but the pics of DR beaches are unbelievable!

Oh my goodness, you really must have been freaking out when she told you she didn't have your stuff even after you gave her your confirmation number!!! Yikes! I'm sure everything will turn out just beautiful though. It was really reassuring to hear Kris's review, huh? We only wanted ~30 people, but our parents got to the list and it jumped to almost 100! We were able to talk them into leaving some people off the list and just sent out STDs to 75 people last week. We know not everyone will come but it's still wayyyyy bigger than we initially wanted. We already have 30 people saying they will come, but of course have not yet booked.

You could always just send them an invitation along with your other guests, and they can just RSVP "no" again officially. That way they are officially invited and it leaves it open to the fact that they tentatively said no right away, but their plans could have changed. Your family might want to save your invitation as a keep sake as well!

Our wedsite isn't password protected because as I mentioned in my last post, some guests had issues with it and I didn't end up putting the password on the STDs. We don't have any last names or specific information like addresses or work places or anything so I wasn't worried about it. Also, all questbook posts have to be approved by us first. Has anyone had any issues with online creeps due to their websites not being password protected?

A few of us in this thread have been told multiple times that a deposit is not required and that our wedding date is being held. I would actually feel better if I put down a deposit in order to get some concrete confirmation, but Veronica confirmed in an email again today that I just need to let her know when we book our trips. Our wedding isn't until October so flights aren't available yet. I had originally booked my date back in July when Noemi was still the WC. Maybe their policy is changing now but they are sticking to the old rules for those of us who had already booked with them? Also, we had confirmed a date with Noemi 15 months in advance. There might not be much availability for this June right now since it's a popular month for weddings. Maybe that's why Veronica is asking for specific guest and travel information from you? They might be able to fit in a small wedding, but not a large one. Either way, it still is frustrating that you aren't getting much information I'm sorry.

I finally heard back from Veronica after sending her a second email asking her if she could please email me back to let us know everything is still set. She responded today saying our date is still on hold and to let her know when we book. I feel much better knowing my date hasn't been given away or something disasterous like that. It sounds like slowly but surely we are all hearing from her. Erika, it seems like you have been having the same concerns as I have about what needs to be done next. Have you booked your room yet? Apparently we just need to let her know when we book so she can give us a confirmation number and that's it. I was under the impression that we pick out the final details like flowers and stuff when we get there a few days before. Since you are going to arrive the day before and she won't be working that day, she must be able go over the details with you over email or phone beforehand so cake and flowers can be ready, right?

Hi Kris! It's sooo good to read about your great experience at ERC!!! I'd love to see photos if you don't mind sharing! Our guest list is a lot longer than we were hoping for so I've been getting a little more worked up over things. Planning a vacation for potentionally 70 people is stressful! Your review has eased my nerves a little... thanks! What did you think of the flower and cake options, food at the resort? Any other tips you can give us upcoming ERC brides Congratulations on your marriage!

I also vote for mywedding.com. It's free, very easy to use, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I was able to put all the info my guests need on it. There is an RSVP, music suggestion, guest book, and a "Contact Us" function that allows guests to message you directly from the webpage rather than just listing your email address. The one thing I wish was different is the wedpass function. Guests have to actually register on mywedding.com using their email and a password and THEN enter the wedpass. It wasn't a problem for most people, but some not-so-computer-savy guests needed help figuring out how to get on the website so I ended up turning off the wedpass function. It was nice when it was on though because it showed me who looked at the page and their email address in case I needed to email anyone. I have not noticed any advertisements on my website and no one has gotten any spam from mywedding.com that I know of. All in all, I am very happy with mywedding.com and it's free!

Not really, and that's why I'm panicking a little too. She assured me that my date was saved about a month ago but we haven't had much contact since then. I recently booked my photographer, just sent ~75 people save the dates, and plan on booking travel arrangements at the end of the month. I'm freaking myself out thinking about what I would do if I was told our date was given away! I'd feel better if we could have put down a deposit. I feel a little better though hearing that I'm not the only one who hasn't heard from Veronica in awhile.

Good to know that we can ship things down since I had heard that some resorts don't accept packages. I didn't realize there was a fee for bows and ribbons and stuff. I wonder what other fees apply. We aren't telling people that it's a symbolic ceremony, but a few people do know that we are getting married here first. My next task is to figure out what to do about the music situation, DJ vs ipod set up.

I'm getting married at ERC next year and usually Veronica is very quick to respond to my emails, but I emailed her last week and haven't heard a response either. I'm wondering if she is very busy this week or is out of office or something? Maybe you could try calling?
