FOR SALE: Tons of wedding extras

The Palm Leaf Clutch Bags are really cute! Do they fold up well to put in a suitecase? -
Aww man, I wrote this whole long thing and I didn't post, so I guess I'll try to remember what I just wrote So GinalynL, I think I was sold on RPLA from the pictures and because I wanted to do a wedding on the beach. Plus I have seen a RIU resort before and they are just gorgeous. I agree that RC does have a kids play area so if you have kids coming, that would work out well. I figure since you get access to all 3 resorts, you can get the best of all of them. Dreams was on my list too, but I wasn't sold from the comments on the beach wedding. I am getting legally married in the U.S. rather than Cancun. At most resorts it isn't that much more to do a civil ceremony (about $300) but I just didn't want to deal with it. I do know RPLA has a FAQ section on their website that explains what they do for civil ceremonies. I haven't really asked my WC anything yet, but I heard from other people on this website that she is good. I will certainly post information as I get it. Mrs. Martin is at RPLA now for her wedding so I'm sure she will give us the scoop when she gets back! I wish I was in Cancun right now! So good luck picking a resort and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Wow, that save the date is really cute! I love the picture idea! I think I am going to do boarding passes for my invitations. I just mailed out passports for my save-the-dates which turned out well. The boarding passes you did are too cute! It does look like a lot of work though, I'm going to have to get some of my co-workers to help!

platinum wedding ring

My FI got my ering in the diamond district in NY, you can get great deals there but you have to be careful of some worksmanship.... if you're planning on any trip to the NY area prior to your wedding, I would definetely recommend the diamond district bc they can make anything you want for you at a much better price or same price, but better quality. If you're interested, I can send you the store we are dealing with. I'm thrilled with the finished product and have had other jewelrs compliment the worksmanship. I'm definitely interested. That is the PERFECT excuse to visit New York! I appreciate the information! -
Well, Im sure you can get the dinner reservations work out with Pamela when you get there. I think I'll just keep my expectations low and assume I'll get everything straightened out when I get there. I still haven't heard back as to if the resort offers wedding insurance so I think I'm just going to get some through WedSafe.com Other than that, I just sent out all the save-the-dates and I booked Vanessa Vargas for the wedding pictures. I'm going this weekend to a bridal show in DC to get some ideas for colors and attire and all that. Fun stuff! Sounds like you have a lot going on coming up! Good luck with everything and I can't wait to hear how everything went!

platinum wedding ring
amdecker posted a topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Does anyone know a good place to get a platinum wedding ring? My fiance got my engagement ring from Jared several years ago. Now that I'm looking for a platinum wedding ring to go with it, the selection just isn't that good. They have a few rings, but they are so expensive. I really didn't want to pay $2000 for a ring. Unfortunately, a plain band doesn't look right with my ring so it has to have diamonds in the band. So I guess if I have to pay that much I will, but I was just wondering if anyone knows where to get a ring a little cheaper. Thanks! -
This dress is gorgeous. Is it still available? Do you think it would be long enough to fit me, I'm 5'9.

There are a lot of great threads about OOT bags, and so many different ideas! That's why I love this forum! I have no idea what I'm going to do yet but I really like the Ailana bags, they are so tropical and cute! Welcome to Ailana Kai I guess I'll decide later on after I get a better idea of how many people are coming to the wedding.

Becks, that bag is too cute and it looks like it would be comfortable!

Becks' planning thread **Pic Heavy**

As many others have stated..WOW. I love it, I'm excited to do my own, and I'm totally overwhelmed! You are the queen DIYer! I love the idea of the pre-travel kit. When did you give that to your guests? Before or after the invites? Or after they RSVPed? The brochure is exactly what I need to give to my guests, especially for several people in my family that will be flying out of the country for the first time. Thank you so much for taking the time to post everything! -
I'm sending out STDs a year before the wedding basically so people can be forwarned about the expense. I haven't thought too much about when I'll send the actual invites. Maybe somewhere between 3 and 6 months before? The main reason for the STDs is to give my family plenty of time to think about it and save. (My friends are all raring to go, so no problem there). Humm, I haven't decided about including RSVPs either because I would rather people just do that on the wedding website. I'll have to think about that (ugg more stamps).

I booked our room (me and fiance) right in the beginning (14 months before the wedding date!) because where I am staying, RPLA, Cancun, you have to have a hotel reservation before you get the wedding confirmation. That way, they know you have arrived the neccessary amount of time before the actual wedding (usually 2 or 3 days before the wedding). I guess the policy differs depending on the resort but I didn't think it was a big deal. The prices of the rooms have not changed a bit since I booked them and I don't have to put any money down. I made my reservations directly through the hotel rather than use a TA. I'll book our flight whenever I see a good deal!

TTD...Before or after wedding?
amdecker replied to Juniorbaby01's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
That's actually good to know because I forgot about wearing the dress for the AHR after the TTD session. I don't plan to go swimming in my dress but I will make sure to keep in mind about sand and lace. Thanks for the tip! -
Shipping things out before hand??
amdecker replied to **~Jenn~**'s topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Ok, this is slightly off subject, but I was wondering about disposable cameras. I just bought a ton of them to take down to Mexico but will they be ok going through the Xray? I have taken these types of cameras through in a carry-on and they were fine, but if I put them in a checked bag will they be ok? I only ask because my fiance took 3 disposables on a flight and all 3 got messed up somehow. (Maybe they were all bad to begin with?) I just don't want that to happen with these. I bought them fairly cheap from the knot wedding shop so I hope they will be ok.
