I am a 34DD and my corset dress is plenty to keep the girls where they belong. I have enough layers to also be in a position to sport black tights, but I'll be opting for blue underpants... probs from LaSenza... or maybe something funny!

I think you should find solace in sharing the crazy nutjob FFIL story with us. You could however, discuss this AFTER the wedding with you MIL, or even your mom. Based on what you have said daddy-whorebucks isn't really in the picture, so discussion after the wedding IMO wouldn't be bad... mostly because you nor your mom, nor your FMIL, will see him.... just a thought.

Although we are not having an AHR, I voted yes! Because, I personally love love love my dress, and would love any occasion to wear it!

I think Morgan hit the nail on the head... pictures are definately one bit of the wedding you don't want to cheap out on. I mean, the dress is important, but when people ask about your wedding are you gonna pull out your wedding dress that cost thousands, or your photo album pictures are worth a thousand words, and good pictures are worth a million. Ciao!

I agree with the last few posts, ErinB hit it on the head, so did Carly, Danielle and the others... There is enough stress with planning a wedding, don't stress about the dress... Figure out a way financially to get the dress you love and that fits. Maybe check ebay, or netbride for better pricing.... Just a thought!

As a future Cuban bride, I am definately concerned... CNN.com says that Varadero has recently evacuated 9000 tourists, but they make no mention of evacuation of the locals. My dear friend Maureen is due to have her first child any day now, and lives in downtown Varadero. I am worried for thier safety. I am also concerned about the devastation that IKE could cause to the Varadero area, and to our pending wedding. It has been three years since KATRINA and the city still isn't back to normal.... Just worried, that's all; and praying for our dear Cuban friends.

Lorraine, That is such a nice gesture. We have Cuban friends that we bring many gifts to as well, peanut butter, reading glasses, baby items, etc.... I am worried about our Cuban friends right now....

Hey Ladies, I needed to decide on one of two wedding bands.... this is my engagement ring... your assistance has greatly helped in making my decision easier and with 57% of the votes, I have agreed with the majority and have chosen #1 I really did like this one, and am worried because it is being custom made that I haven't been able to look at it for real... but I trust the jeweller and we are going with it. FI's ring will be very similar, but with no diamonds - it will be indented in five little spots in the same manner as my kite set diamonds. I am really excited! But sad that my E-ring is gone until just before Canadian Thanksgiving, October 9.... However, I am thrilled that FI and I are getting the same engraving on our rings, they will both read We are thrilled. I will post pics as soon as I get all of these rings in my hot little hands! Harty, you definately have a good point. I should be honest - I don't LOVE showers either, I have been known to get out of them too... I think we are all guilty of that.... but, I know HANDS DOWN... that I would be on the "beast" list, if I were to skip a shower for one of my SIL's be it for a bridal, baby, or whatever. I know I'd get flack.

I found mine at Le Chateau in Canada! They were only $130. each!
