  1. Here is my dress! I found it on Monday and ordered it on the spot. I love it! There are no photos of me from the front since the ones we took are not very good. The sample was 2 sizes too big so it was gapping at the top, butyou'll get the idea. The model Me (the sales girl was showing me what it would look like bustled) Me with a veil ( I was flirting with the camera for effect)
  2. I ordered mine 3 days ago and my wedding is 7 months away. They told me 4 to 6 months, but usually they come in around the 4 1/2 month mark. My wedding is the end of January and I expect the dress mid-October. Plus I have a ton of alterations to do so I hope it doesn't take 6 months!
  3. OMG! I went shopping today and found the exact same dress and ordered it on the spot! I hadn't seen it before today and I LOVE it! As long as shemeasured you properly I'm sure it will be fine! Now you have a goal which makes it way easier to workout/diet when your not motivated. Good luck dress twin!
  4. My 9 month old puppy ate through our cable for the digital cable. All of sudden we stopped getting all the channels and sure enough.... We got the big puppy eyes, but fortunetly the FI knew how to splice the cable so it wasn't a big deal, and we learned our lesson to attache the cable to floor. Also, when he was only 3 or 4 months old, my FI found him running around the house with FI's cell phone charger around his neck. Thankfully he didn't strangle himself but the FI had to go out and buy a new charger. The worse part is trying not to laugh when they are being bad but cute at the same time.
  5. When I saw your name, I just had to welcome you with open arms! I'm a Sens fan, born and bred and love, love, love other Sens fans (especially those living in Leaf territory!) Welcome to BDW and happy planning!
  6. What a beautiful story to tell the grandkids in 50 years....perfect! Welcome and happy planning!

I'm surprised to hear about the joint issues, but I can only hypothesize that it is due to lack of moisture while on the medication. Your joints are lubricated with synovial fluid so that the bones move smoothly by one another, and maybe the drug affects the fluid as well? I don't remember any joint pain when I was on it, and don't have any problems now, so its obviously a case by case side-effect. Good luck and best wishes for beautiful skin!
  8. Thanks guys! At least I know I haven't totally lost it (just partially, haha). I think having the priest bless both rings is a perfect way to make both rings special but because we aren't doing a religious ceremony, I'm struggling with this aspect. I was thinking of wearing my plain band for the first time on my right ring finger on the wedding day. It wouldn't exactly be a part of the ceremony, but it would still be special.
  9. So since before I was engaged, I knew I wanted more than one wedding band. What I mean is I want two completely different wedding bands. One to match my E-ring (with diamonds) and the other that is plain white gold that I would wear on its own. The diamond set would be for work, going out and dressing up, and the plain one would be for the gym, camping and chilling out at home. My FI thinks I'm a little crazy, but my mom has two rings so to me it's not out of the question. The other thing is, I love my e-ring and I want to wear it, but I have fallen in love with a thick plain wedding band that just doesn't work with my solitaire. I really want both and I don't want to wait to get the plain one after the ceremony because I don't feel as if it would mean as much. I just can't seem to find one that suits both my needs. So... a) Am I crazy to want both? How can I incorrporate 2 bands into the ceremony? Any feedback/suggestions would be helpful.
  10. Welcome! Good luck planning!
  11. Lovely, elegant and gorgeous! All eyes will be on you for sure!

Were you on it for the 4.5 months (that's what my dr recommended)? I beleive it was behind the counter, but not prescription. I was on it for alot longer than that because the dosage I was on wasn't quite high enough (1 pill a day) and we had to play with it because I didn't weigh enough to go on two pills a day. I ended up on a dosage of 1 pill one day, and then 2 pills the next alternating back and forth, so once we got that figured out, I think it was probably about 4.5 months. I think I was on it for about 10 months though all together. Please keep in mind I was on it about 8 years ago, so I can't remember all the details except the outcome. Hope this helps you and good luck if you do choose to take it.
  13. Honestly, Accutane wasn't that bad. And for me, my skin just sort of stayed the same for a while, it didn't get worse... The worse thing was the risk of burning when I was on it cause I did take it over the summer and I was a lifeguard outside. I wasn't use to burning since I have olive-goes-strait-to-a-tan skin, but I wore high SPF sunscreen. A small adjustment and it was a good habit to get into. My lips were really dry though, so I also had hydrocortisone cream that I loaded on my lips at night and it worked great. The worse thing was the blood tests and I eventually got use to it - no big deal. For me, it was totally worth it.
  14. Is your house older? Maybe she lived in at one point and is nostalgic? Or maybe she likes the design of the front of your house and she's building her own to match? Or maybe she's an architect and there is a feature of your house that she's never seen in person... I agree it is strange though...
  15. I took Accutane in highschool and it worked like majic for me. I had tried other meds and topicals but nothing did it...so my doc wanted me to try it not because I had terrible skin because I was beginning to scar and she wanted to catch it before it got worse. It is a pretty harsh med though and you have to be on the pill if you are of childbearing age b/c it can cause severe deformations if you get preggers. I had to go for blood tests every 6 weeks to check my liver and have a pregnancy test. It makes your lips and skin really dry which is not pleasant. I was on it for about 1 year because she had to play with the dosage to get it just right for me (the dosage was based on weight and I was in between). Now I rarely get a pimple at all, but I also try to be religious about skin care and it makes a big difference. It cleared up my skin and kept it that way. It worked for me, but I would suggest doing your research before you decide because it is a heavy drug and its expensive, so that is something to consider if you don't have coverage.
  16. I went for the first time last night to do the "first official dress shopping experience" with my mom and FMIL and can't say it was very positive b/c I wasn't feeling great. I have been looking forward to going for 2 weeks while the moms were each out of town (on seperate trips) and really wanted to go, but I wasn't feeling well all day yesterday and didn't sleep the night before b/c I was sick. Sooo needless to say, I was grumpy and felt yucky so it wasn't a very good experience. My advice, go in with an open mind and feeling your best. But, I look forward to going with my MOH when I am in a better mood.
  17. Love, love, love everything! You look gorgeous in your dress and he will look awesome in his gear! Best of luck next Saturday and on the honeymoon! Which reminds me, your boudoir book is HOT! Watch out Andy!
  18. Well, we aren't quite there yet, but the biggest adjustment in terms of living together was his socks and underware. We dated for 7 years before we moved in (have been living together for a year and a half) so I didn't think there would be too many surprises, but this was one of them. His socks and underware are removed and left wherever they came off. Sometime next to the bed, sometimes next to the hamper, sometimes in the bathroom, sometimes in the living room, sometimes in the kitchen! I just accept it, and scoop them up and move on...there is really no point fighting about it... The only problem is, since we got our puppy, all the socks and underware now have tiny holes in them from the puppy chewing on the stinkyness, so he needs all new under clothes. Good news is, the puppy is training my FI to put this socks in the hamper! YEA!!!!
  19. I did an hour of full body weights yesterday and I will be doing an hour of yoga at lunch today. I live in the capital of Canada, Ottawa, and in the summer Lululemon offers yoga on the grass in front of Parliment Hill every Wednesday at noon. Since I work not far down the street, my office has decided that whoever is interested can participate together. Apparently it gets about 80 people for a class and the tourists who come to see the Parliment buildings stop and stare, which I think is pretty funny. I'm looking forward to spending an hour outside at lunch guilt free on a beautiful day!
  20. I'm a PC bride too, January 28th, 2009! I was able to decide on a resort with the help of a travel agent who was able to recommend certain reosrt over others based on our needs and the needs of our guests. The Punta Cana threads are full of info too. Good luck and hapy planning!
  21. I throw my hair in a ponytail when I'm working out and I usually wear a headband to keep my bangs back...I don't have to wash it when I'm done - usually... Thurs - 1 hour of full body weights Friday - 35 min on the elliptical and 30 minutes of core Sat - 1 hour of full body weights Sun- 1 hour of yoga Today - day off
  22. Congratulations! Big move, but it sounds like your happy so way to go! You aren't far from me in Ottawa! Have fun moving!
