When Bailey was a little puppy he had worms, but they only came out when he took a round of worm meds and then he would poop them out. They looked like actual worms though but a little smaller. I had to pull a live worm out of his bum with a plastic bag once...that was sick! I know that when I was at the vet, there are several different types of worms that look different...they had a poster on the wall which I studied in detail....I have heard about the rice looking worms before though...I don't blame you for wanting to disinfect! They are so small and it's hard to see them...worms are more dangerous to children cause they can get really sick from them. Pets just get worms if they are in contact, but it doesn't make them sick as far as I know.

This is our engagement story, I just copy and pasted it off our website, so if your wondering why I'm referring to myself in the third person, that's why! Jamie is crazy about Christmas and knew that he wanted to pop the question Christmas morning, but how...he tossed around a few possibilities and came up with the perfect plan. Jamie and Lindsay had already come to an agreement that as this is their first Christmas spent in their own place, there had to be some ground rules. These rules stem from the stories of Jamie waking his entire family on Christmas morning before the sun has come up...every year. Lindsay loves Christmas too, but firmly believes in a good nights sleep and that Christmas isn't less special at 9 in the morning than at 6:30 in the morning...Rule #1 : Jamie is not allowed to wake Lindsay before 8am, a compromise for both. Rule #2 : Coffee should be brewing before gifts can be opened Rule #3 : Jamie had to take Bailey (our new 3 month old Boxer puppy) out for a pee before he wakes Lindsay up - three very reasonable rules in Lindsay's opinion. Little did Lindsay know, Jamie had a surprise up his sleeve for Christmas morning... He had prepared the living room by placing tiny tealight candles and stringing tiny lights all around the room, after being unable to sleep past 5am. He left Bailey and Lindsay sleeping while he prepared the room and then he was left waiting for 8am...not going to happen! So at 7am, he creeps into the bedroom to wake Lindsay up...he tells her that he has something to show her...slowly rolling over to look at the clock, Lindsay says firmly that it is not 8am and she will not be getting up for at least an hour. He starts insisting that she come see something, persuaded by his insistence, she pulls herself out of bed. On her way out of the bedroom she asks if he at least took Bailey out for a pee? He tells her he'll take him out in a few minutes...so far, two rules have been broken, so Lindsay's a bit grumpy at this point. Luckily, this is where it takes a turn for the better. Jamie was ahead of Lindsay, and leads her into the living room where she sees what he's been up to...it is beautiful, little lights hanging from the ceiling, several dozen candles and the sun rising outside the window...truly a sight to be remembered. As she takes it all in, Jamie gets down on one knee, opens the ring box and asks her to marry him! He said a few things, that neither one of them remember, but she said yes through tears and sleepy eyes. She was awake very quickly after that and obviously no longer grumpy. They both couldn't have been happier. Jamie took Bailey outside while Lindsay made coffee. They opened their gifts and got ready to tell everyone. They spent the day announcing the news and celebrating with both families. It was the best Christmas yet! How will Jamie top this in the future?

Wow - I am another shocked Canadian! I feel so grateful that when the time comes for us to be parents, the stress of paying for the pregnancy and delivery is not even an issue. Good luck davematthews16 in your search for insurance!

Punta Cana - Summer or Fall?
seaprincess replied to bovkim's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
I choose the winter (January) for our wedding b/c we're in Canada and it is so bitter cold in Jan that I knew I wanted to soak up the sun for two weeks and get away rather than doing it in the fall....but if your choices are fall or summer I'd go with late fall....b/c of hurricane/rainy season. -
Have you exercised today?
seaprincess replied to destinationbride07's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
Thanks for bringing the thread back Amy! I haven't quit working out, just haven't posted about it...I started spinning last week! I have been doing 2 to 3 weight classes a week, plus at least 2 more cardio sessions in the week (either spin, bodyattack class aka super intense workout, or elliptical/treadmill). I have been pretty good at sticking to 4-5 sessions a week. I went away for the long weekend though so time to get back to it after 5 days off! -

Not yet...I'm going to go check Lago out with the girls in my wedding party and have dinner...I am strongly leaning towards having it there, but I want to taste the food and experience the ambiance first...I'll update soon! -

Does anyone else experience this?*personal issue*

I can relate to you, I seem to get night sweats the whole week of my period and it goes away for the rest of the month. I wake up an my pj's are damp with sweat, but I never sweat so bad that the sheets are soaked...I just chalked it up to hormones, but maybe I should look in to it... -
OMG- I heard about it at work today and it is totally disgusting that a human can do that to another human being!

Do you always use dark polish? Maybe try using a light colour polish and it would cover up your nails, but wouldn't stain them which is what dark polish can do...The other thing I was thinking, and this is kinda gross, but they say that sometimes if your nails are discoloured that you may have a fungus growing in your nailbed...but if it's all your nails I'm sure that wouldn't be the case...

I just wanted to celebrate the fact that my honey and I went on our first date 9 years ago today! We have experienced so much together and we are 6 months from the wedding and I am so looking forward to spending the next 99 years together! 9 years flew by....but when I think of what was going on in 1999 it seems like a long time ago....we saw the Blair Witch Project in theatres on our first date (sad I know, totally not romatic, but we were just kids!). We spent the millenium new years eve together- a story to tell the grandkids in 50 years... We have grown up and grown together so I am so happy to be moving on to the next phase of our lives together! Yeah!! Thanks for listening ladies! I know there are a few others out there in the same boat. Anyone else find it a huge adjustment going from calling him my boyfriend to my fiance? After 8 and half years of dating, it is tough to change the lingo...Have a great day! I know I will!

K- Time for the post-spinning booty report! I went to spin class for the first time on Tuesday and I absolutely loved the workout! It was way better than I thought it would be! I do have to say that my tushie still hurts (2 days later) and that the seat was the worst part! Ouchie! I'll be going back for sure! Thanks ladies for pumping me up! -

I received my raffia fans yesterday in the mail from OTC! I started decorating them last night, but I decided to change the ribbon when I saw them on the handles. I will be decorating them with the ribbon, white silk orchids and the program will be attached as well so they don't fly away down the beach. I will be making an orchid curtain from the same silk orchids to hang on the back of the archway for the ceremony. I think it looks gorgeous blowing in the wind from the pics I've seen on this site. I have the supplies I just have to begin making it. I have started a filling my old toy chest with wedding stuff but I may have to upgrade to a closet or the entire spare bedroom..... I am also planning my guestbook/scrapbook...where my guests can put their advice, how they know us and we can attach a pic of them from the wedding. I bought a few supplies, but I still need to find the actual book. I have contacted a photog in my area and will be doing my BD pics in October or November I just have to set a day. My next thing to look for before it goes out of season is my FI's clothes...and his GM clothes too! And the rings are on the to-do list for the next week or two...we've looked around but haven't seriously decided on anything yet. I'm really starting to get into it now that we are 6 months away. The next three months are going to be a whirlwind. mid-September - Bridal shower 1st weekend in October - Bachelorette party in Montreal! 2nd weekedn in October - Thanksgiving 3rd weekend in October - Our Stag/Doe party 4th weekend in October - my MOH moves to the West Coast October 31st - my dress comes in Time is going to fly! -
So pretty! My bouquet will be white orchids and plumeria ( but I had to go the faux route) The pink BM flowers are going to pop!

Jamaica and Alternative Lifestyles
seaprincess replied to luvtoteachlaw's topic in Destination Weddings in Jamaica
I definetly agree that you need to have a conversation with them about it...just out of concern for their safety if they choose to leave the villa...but I would imagine staying at a private villa is the best of both worlds, seeing Jamaica without prejudice
