  1. I say just wait and do it next summer. Have an engagement party this summer. We are in the same position as you. We live in Colorado and our wedding is in December. We wanted to have an AHR afterwards, but also desire to do something outside. So, we are having a big engagement party next week when we go home to see my parents. That way we will still be able to have some of our friends that won't be with us in Mexico.
  2. Accutane.........yup, been there, done that! Accutane is definitely a miracle drug, in that is does cure your acne. However, the side effects to accutane are nothing less than miserable! The worst side effect is the dry skin. My lips and nostrils were the worst......oh and my hands because I wash them so much at work (I'm a nurse). Everytime I would blow my nose, it would be bloody (gross I know). I never experienced joint pain though. I am really surprised you physician didn't require a pregnancy test. Accutane is EXTREMELY harmful to a fetus. It is an absolute must that you take extra precaution with birth control (minimum of two forms). Accutane is also controled by the U.S. government now because it is such a dangerous drug. I had blood tests every month for pregnancy, anemia, liver functions, and cholesterol. My doctor monitored the results very closely. Like I said, this drug is nothing to mess around with. So, just out of concern for your safety, I would reccomend following up with a doctor who will monitor your blood tests every month. Sorry for splurging all this on you. But just wanted to give you honest advice. Good luck! I know your skin will be beautiful when your 5 month course is done!
  3. I have been an RN for a little over 5 years now working in the ICU. I LOVE being a nurse! It's very rewarding. For the past 3 years I have been working as a traveling nurse, doing 13 week contracts at hospitals all over the country. It has been such an awesome experience! I feel like I am on a perpetual vacation, living off of someone elses dime. My travel companies pay for my housing, furnish the apartments, and pay for my utilities. Not to mention a nice hourly salary to go with it. All in all, you can't go wrong with being a nurse. You can have a job in an instant almost any where in the country with the current nursing shortage. I say go for it!
  4. I have a question about this $5 per person set up fee for bringing your own decorations. So does that mean for every menu I set out they will charge $5 for each menu I set out Also, I was going to bring little votives I decorated......does that mean I pay $5 for each votive to be set out too My cheap little votives are looking really expensive at this point! That could add up REALLY fast! Let me know how they handled that.......Thanks!!
  5. I bought my starfish from Quality Shells. They shipped pretty fast. I didn't shop around much, so I'm not sure if their prices are cheaper or more expensive then other places. Here's the link: Sugar Starfish
