  1. Michelle, I am so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the wonderful memories. Your family is in my thoughts!
  2. Yeah!! Congratulations!!! That is very exciting news!!
  3. I am so sorry for your and your friends loss. I always allow myself some time to "have my head up my butt". With the love and support of friends, family, and a great FI your head will slowly come out and the great memories will appear.
  4. Funny! Thanks for the monday morning chuckle!
  5. Those are fabulous! Great job! Glad to hear your guests love them too (I'd be concerned about them if they did not)!
  6. I would have to agree that with a halther no necklace is needed unless you have one that is important to you to fit in to your wedding day attire. Add a nice bracelet and simple earrings and you are good to go.
  7. Welcome Maggie! There is a ton of great info here. You may want to narrow down part of Mexico and go from there. Congrats!
  8. Welcome Zoe (thats my nieces name too, excellent)! Hope your planning is going well!

Welcome Maria! Hope you are feeling better! Congrats on your engagement!
  11. On actual Saona Island there were no starfish. That adventure is either on the way to or on the way back they stop at a sand bar that is about waist deep. On Saona Island you swim, relax, walk the beach, drink coconut oil if you want. It is definitely a way to force you to relax on your trip.
  12. Welcome! Ahh yes the budget, thats the not so fun part! Well here's to hoping the fun part comes soon!

    Hiya!

Welcome Lesley! A Vegas wedding sounds awesome! Happy planning!
  14. I thought I would share a few of my pictures from Saona Island:
  15. Oh that is so funny! I was thinking the same thing, I mean it sounds like a lot of time but I remember when my ticker was in the double digits. You are ahead of me in the OOT department. I was going to try to wait until we had a better head count to order stuff. I have my dress and my flowergirls and MOH dress done. Have my FI ring bought, mine has been done for awhile. Need to finalize his outfit and his guys and my dad. Have DJ booked, flowers and centerpieces picked, but thats about it. Stressing about the dumb OOTs though, want them to be cute but dont want to spend too much! Ahhhh feel better now that I got that out. Phew thanks for starting this thread.
  16. That sounds like a great idea! Any excuse to drink fun drinks and dress up in cute dresses!!!!! Have a great time!
  17. We are doing cocktail hour on the terrace and reception on the beach. I didnt think chocolate was an option hmmm maybe I missed that will have to check that out.
  18. No I dont, hopefully one of our other gals does though.
  19. From what our experienced DC brides have told us, a lot of the contract is finalized when you get there. They just need some of the minor details. Yes you can feed more then 20 people there is just a per person charge for over the 20 depending om which menu it is you choose. We have not chosen a specific menu yet but I think we are leaning towards the surf and turf.
  20. That is such an awesome accomplishment, congratulations!! I can only imagine how hard it is to say goodbye but thanks to people like you and your DH wonderful pets get a chance!
  21. Glad you are having fun ring shopping! I personally vote for the Scott Kay. But they both are magnificent.
