  1. Its on Monday nights, but this monday was the season finale. I am sure they will play a marathon on E though. I like Dr.Will but he was only in one episode this past season.

Without getting into details that might start a debate that I don't and wont get into, imo- he's more experienced all a round, his views on abortion, climate policy, immigration, education, veteran, the fact that he fought and was a POW for this Country, etc etc etc. In regards to the Rolling Stone article- its just that - an article. I have read manyy disturbing articles about Obama, but I realize that they are more than likely false. I saw a website that said Obama was the anti christ and all this scary stuff, do I believe it, no of course not! There was a DVD I saw about corrupted muslim's and how Obama is working with them to overpower America and take us down, it's complete BS. People have to look past all the media and articles they read and realize that things are made up. At the end of the day though its "To each his own" ...regardless, whom ever the winner is, I hope they are being honest with us Americans and really help make this Country a better place. K bye bye before I get ambushed hahahaaaaaa Well said Jacqueline! I also voted McCain-Palin!

We had the same problems! It annoyed me so much that people didn't have the courtesy to send back the RSVP cards that had a stamp on them! All they had to do was mark yes or no and put it in the mailbox. I got really mad about that. It made me think that people just got our wedding invites and threw them in the trash! It made me reevaluate who my real friends/family are.
  4. I can relate as well, my best friend (I was her MOH and spent alot of money for her wedding) said she was going up until last 2 months before and then said she couldn't go. Then one month later she went to FL with her new boyfriend. She didn't even send me a card. I'm sorry you are going through this, but at least you can learn who your true friends are.
  5. I had to put my dress on the belt. I folded it in half and it was in the garmet bag so no problems at all. I flew on American Airlines and they let me hang my dress in the first class closet even though I flew coach. Well good luck with everything and enjoy your wedding!!
  6. Good luck to you Martha, enjoy mommyhood!!
  7. Wow Heather I would be pissed. I agree with the girls, maybe you can postpone the wedding and take time to save more money and sort out the problem.
  8. I would call the builder yourself. Threaton to walk out on the deal if they don't get the deck done by 10/31. I don't know how long it takes to build a deck but if they told you it would be done by 10/31 they should still be able to get it done by then even if it means they rearrange their schedules.
  9. Everything looks amazing Leia!! Good luck on your wedding day!
  10. Yeah I got married at Dreams too. For the ceremony we had the mariachi band. They played "Here comes the bride" when I walked out and played during coctail hour too. If you are getting one the wedding packages it will be included. I got the Ultimate package. Are you using a package or booking everything seperately?
  11. We rented the speakers and mic and hooked up our ipod. The sound was great and we had no problems what so ever. It was $200 for the night. We only had 24 people so I didn't feel that we needed to hire a DJ. We made 2 playlists, one to be played during dinner (mostly love songs) and then we made a playlist of dance music.
  12. Wow you do have alot going on. Good luck with the moving & the job search. BTW- I would totally be the same way if I had to take my cats on the plane. I'm glad they did good on the flight
  13. There is alot of helpful ideas in this thread on how to cut back and save money! So thanks to everyone for sharing tips. We also canceled our gym membership with LA Fitness in August after a few years with them. We bought some fitness equipment to keep at home, and we go for runs at night. I bet the fitness industry is hurting right now, alot of people are probably canceling their memberships to save money!
  14. Finally she is admitting it! She was on Chelsea Lately on Friday night and kept dodging the questions about them breaking up and her hooking up with Criss Angel.
  15. I feel your pain...the economy sucks right now! We have cut back by: -Not going out to eat (we used to go out like 2 times a week, now we only go out like 2 times a month- but we have been cooking together alot more so that is fun) -Not going out to the movies (we rent netflix now) -Clipping coupons Also about 2 months ago we did a major house cleaning and went through boxes we had in storage, and we gathered up a bunch of stuff we don't use or want any more and sold them on Craigslist to make some extra cash. Also about your wedding... we went the ipod route instead of hiring a DJ and we saved so much money too. I think you will be happy with your choice, just start making your play lists early cause that takes some time. Good luck.
  16. Sorry to hear that... I hope you don't lose your job. The economy and stock market is so depressing lately. Well again, Good luck tomorrow.
  17. What is the bike ride tour? That sounds fun. I got the same way too... I was more excited for the actual trip/honeymoon then my wedding!

Our TA sent us a ton of info on restaurants, and excursions but we haven't had the time to sit and look at everything yet. One day this week we will, and I will for sure let you know what we have. I'm so excited someone from BDW will be there, how neat is that?! haha I will def KIT! Contact me too if you get any good info. Have you ever been to Maui before? I know that is awesome, we will definetly have to meet up! I have never been to Hawaii, I have always wanted to go so I am soooo excited! I have been reading alot on trip advisor. We haven't booked anything yet but we plan to go to a luau, take surfing lessons, go snorkeling, and drive the Road to Hana. I'll let you know what we end up booking. Are you renting a car?
  19. JamieLynne, I see your from Dallas also. Do you know any good places for wine tasting? I got a gift certificate to a place called Wine Tastic and was thinking of trying that out. I'm semi new to Dallas and the only wine bar I have been to here is Cru in Plano (and loved it)
  20. I'm not TTC but I am also stopping the BCP. Now I'm a little scared hearing all the side effects. I am sure I will get bad break outs since my skin is prone to break outs. I am stopping the pill cause I have been on it for 9 years. I have family history of high cholesterol and the doctor suggested I stop taking the BCP to lower cholesterol.
  21. Thanks Morgan, that is great advice. I just got my AA degree in May and now I am going to UT-Dallas for my psychology degree with teaching certification. I am going to call there tomorrow and see if I can schedule a meeting with someone from the financial aid office to go over my options. Right now my employer offers tuition assistance but I really can't stand my job anymore so that is also a big reason I want to go to school full time.
  22. Welcome to the forum... you will find alot of great wedding advice on here. Good luck with your planning.

A few years ago I worked for a bank which worked around my work schedule and I had benefits (for me the pay wasn't enough). For the past 4 years I have worked weekends (some nights) for a catering company. I started as a server now I'm a event manager. The pay is pretty good plus the tips are usually bigger. Long hours (10-16 hours days). Since the holidays are coming up I'm sure alot of catering places will be hiring. Thanks Sam. Yeah I will probably end up doing something in the restaurant industry. I think it would be the best bang for the buck. I was a banquet server years ago and we did catering and weddings, etc. it was good money. I'm going to look into it.
