Jacqueline- I was just reading your post and looking up some stuff on Maui. We are going May 16-23, 2009 for our anniversary. We already booked. My SIL is letting us use her timeshare at Ka'anapali Beach Club. We will be there the same week as you. I heard the pool will be closed for renovations but we didn't care too much about that, I would rather be on the beach or exploring. Have you guys looked into any excursions or restaurants yet?

So I started going back to school at night about 2 years ago. With my full time work load I am only able to take 2 classes a semester. It is really frustrating me that it will take so long to finish college at this pace. I am considering quiting my job and going to school full time come January. My question to all you full time students is what kind of part time work do you do? I would have to bring in some income but I am just not sure what is my best bet. I have worked in at a major financial company for the past 4 years and before that I worked as a waitress/bartender for 3 years. A friend also told me you can take out living assistance loans but I wouldn't know where to begin with that and I don't know how much debt I want to take on either. Any advice or input from those in a similar situation? Thanks

You can look into having a private wedding in St.Lucia, just the 2 of you, and then have an at home reception for your friends & family. That's always an option.

Joanna, I'm originally from NJ too (Burlington County) but I moved almost 5 years ago. I know how you feel about NJ being too expensive. I spent almost 2 years in CA and now I am settled in Texas (Dallas area). The economy here is great and houses and property taxes are really affordable. All of my Jersey friends & family were shocked when they visited me and realized my mortgage payment for a 3 bed 2 bath house was about the same price they pay for a 1 bedroom apartment. I don't know if TX is too far for you, but I would definetly recommend it. All areas of TX seemed to be affordable. Austin is really nice. I would like to move there maybe in a few years. I would just be upfront and ask your mom if she can financially help you with the wedding and how much she could give you. I know its hard to ask for money, but I did. Before I began planning I asked my mom if she would be willing to help with paying for the wedding and she said of course she was planning on and it and she told me how much she could give us. It helped alot with planning and budgeting.

When I got my altered I called a bunch of places. Stardust said they only do alterations if you buy your dress there. Do you live near Plano? Let me know cause I know a great place on Preston Rd called "Silhouette". The number is 972-964-8816. Ask for Laura, she did my dress and it was great and only took 2 weeks. Some places I called in Dallas were quoting me 6-8 weeks.

Thank you- I used Tomas Barron who is the Dreams photographer they use for those who get the packages. Yesica my WC told me I could contact Tomas directly for additional services so I contacted him and hired him for an additional 3 hours. I think the package only included 1.5 hours of photography.
