How much does work suck after a 3 day weekend??!!
Maura replied to A10CalGal's topic in Random Thoughts
christa i love your new rug! i cant wait to see how it looks with everything in your living room. you are def not the only person jonesing for the weekend again... i took a 2 hour lunch today and answered personal emails most of the morning, and have been doing wedding related stuff and surfing BDW this afternoon since i got back from my 2 hour lunch. thank god i have friday off to prep for my legal day on saturday but i feel like i have so much going on at home in the evenings to get ready for my inlaws to arrive on friday at noon, that i am seriously wishing it was going to be another quiet weekend. instead i have to go get married LOL so no relaxing for me. -
hahahahhahahahaha - sounds like my FI. tell him earning points also helps you because you can spend them to download attachments and templates that will eventually turn into your wedding projects.

Alright ladies it's that time again, you know the deal! Anyone wanting to participate in BL3 can PM AnnR and she will tell you where to send your $15 entry fee. She has asked me to reiterate NO CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Bank transfers to her PayPal account ONLY, please. (Or I know last season she accepted cash and a personal check or two, but that is up to Ann's discretion whether she wants to do that again.) BL3 will start on Wednesday, July 16th - you will send Ann your starting weight along with a photo of proof. Each subsequent Wednesday, you will send Ann your weight and photo IN THE MORNING. Not at 3 pm on Thursday for all you slackers Please only sign up if you are going to take the challenge seriously, after taking it over for Ann for the last several weeks of the second season, I want to let you girls know it's a lot of hard work for the host to keep track of everyone and it's really annoying when people don't send in their stuff on time, or even worse, don't send it at all. I think we should consider instituting a drop rule for anyone who misses 2 weeks in a row (unless they have a valid excuse like their wedding falls during the 8 weeks) but I'll talk about that with Ann & maybe post a poll as well for all of you to give input. Sign-ups will go through end of the day Monday, July 14th. So please PM Ann that you are going to participate, and then post up here to let everyone know you're joining. Last round's winner lost 24.4 pounds! Oh and BTW, the last jackpot was $435! Good luck ladies! 7/7/2008: UPDATED BY ANN TO ADD RULES Entry fee $15 Contest starts on Wednesday, July 16th Contest last 8 weeks, ending on Wednesday, September 10th The winner gets the pot DEADLINE: If you want to join PM and get your payment to Ann (AnnR) no later than Tuesday, July 15th 1) send AnnR a PM to let her know you're interested, and she will then give you her email address, which you will then use to send your $15 thru paypal by July 15th (no Credit Cards please!) - also, please include your BDW username with your payment! 2) You will take a before pic (keep it in your files) 4) Every Wednesday starting on July 16th (anytime), PM AnnR your weight. To keep it fair take a pic of the scale and send it to Ann as well. 5) The contest will end on Wednesday, Wednesday, September 10th. Take a photo on this day and post before and after on this thread. If Ann does not receive your weigh in on that day, you are not eligible to win. 6) Ann will calculate percentage of weight loss from week-to-week, as well as the overall loss 7) The one who lost the most weight in terms of % loss at the end of eight weeks wins the pot!

Is it ok if .......
Maura replied to cessyboston's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
i dont think it looks tacky at all. my FI is wearing a white shirt under his tan suit and my dress is ivory. it looks very nice when you put them side by side. -

She has lied numerous times to me already and it's always about prices. for the ones who had Maye. Did she stay for most of your wedding or leave near the beginning? krista, just coming from the perspective of a bride getting married at the same hotel as you are, i did NOT hire an outside WC at all for the westin. i really dont think it's necessary at all. i think the staff at the westin is sufficient - and i have been on my WC's ass about what she should be doing. my wedding is in 4 weeks, so i will let you know when i get back how it went, but we are making a day-of timeline for her so she knows exactly what we expect of her. if she comes through at the end, she's in for a big tip.

However we are going camping with a group of people this weekend and I know I'll be drinking beers and eating s'mores. When do you think I should start? If I start this week, should I just not take them this weekend? Basically my question is.. which I can't find anywhere in the booklets, is how long does Alli effect what you eat? Does the pill you take before a meal ONLY affect that meal? Or say you take one at breakfast, but then skip lunch and eat a bag of dougnuts, will you get treatment effects? read the FAQ on alli ?weight loss program for healthy weight loss - the website is really helpful. it effects everyone differently, but alli can stay in your system anywhere from 48-72 hours. so no, you cant take one at breakfast and then skip lunch but eat a bag of donuts. you will get treatment effects from doing that. you can't mix the pills with alcohol either. so i would say wait until after you get back from your camping trip so you can get on a good regular schedule. otherwise if you take it for 3 days, and then dont take it for the 2 days before your trip and during your trip, its like you just totally wasted at least 9 pills right there. by the way, any way you can cut beer completely from your diet? its really bad for you for a number of reasons -- theres a lot less calories and other bad stuff in vodka mixed with crystal light lemonade. if you cut booze from your diet, that alone should help you lose a quick 5 pounds. but if you cant cut booze out, you need to be strategic about what you consume.

we regularly grill zucchini - cut about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch thick, put in a ziploc bag, put about 1-2 tbsp of EVOO in the bag to coat the zucchini, then sprinkle salt & pepper in the bag and then close the bag. rub the bag around to make sure everything gets coated, and then dump them onto a plate and place on the grill just long enough to get slight grill marks on each side. its delicious and healthy and one of my FI's favorites.

Another Great Find at Target
Maura replied to Jamminworld's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
can you please resize those photos? theyre taking up a lot of forum resources. all photos should be 640x480 or 320x240 (the 320x240 is sufficient for most pics unless youre trying to show words on paper or details of something) -
ugh katrina are you kidding? how do those people think they are going to leave the country without a freaking passport?! sorry your centerpiece got smashed i'm sure your mom will get something figured out in a jif, so no worries.

i am starting to freak that i am 6 days away - not because i am nervous or anything, but i still have some things to figure out like how we are going to seat everyone for our legal day. my dad & stepmom are annoying the shit out of me and i cant stand talking to them right now either. i dont know how i am going to make it through working 4 days this coming week!!! thank god i have a pedicure scheduled for thursday night. i tried on my dress for saturday last night and it still fits perfectly so that reduced my anxiety a bit. dont know what im going to do about seating people though... that is a major dilemma...

Is your ring Cathedral set?
Maura replied to tvt's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
dont buy your new setting from a retailer - go to a jeweler in the diamond district and have one custom made - then they can do whatever you want to it! -

(by the way, my FI thinks im crazy now haha - he said to me "WHAT are you doing taking photos of your ring next to a ruler") -
youve gotten some good advice directing you to threads about points already but i did want to bring it to your attention that you only need 50 points to download each attachment, but you do NOT need points to upload attachments to share.
