i shouldve called you the other day when i was really tweaking. you always know what to say to make me feel better! i went and got a reiki treatment last night, and have an appointment for foot reflexology tonight at 6 and a pedicure at 6 tomorrow. i am hoping all these things will relax me a little more. i am only slightly anxious about my legal day on saturday but thats because i'm responsible for picking the inlaws up from the airport, etc etc

Danielle, I pray that your mom gets through the surgery with no complications and that she has a speedy recovery and is in perfect health in no time for your wedding. Sending you all my prayers and love. If you need anything please let us know! xoxo

rebecca, are you nervous? i am having major anxiety about the number of people who have rsvp'd - its 40% more than i expected originally and i have been nauseous about it for the last two days. i really dont like being the center of attention of that many people, the idea makes my skin crawl.

congrats nicole, photos look great!!! cant wait to read your review.

thanks alyssa - i may call you later this week if i end up not able to calm down. harty - actually my stepmom is a usui reiki master and is giving me a reiki treatment tonight, then im getting reflexology tomorrow, then a pedicure thursday. im hoping that doing one thing each day to relax me works.

KWIM? i have big social anxiety to begin with, so i think its catching up with me bigtime right now.

i dont really drink - it usually makes me sick and doesnt relax me at all

Does anyone have experience getting reflexology treatments? I am on the verge of calling my doctor for xanax because I am tweaking really bad about the wedding being in 4 weeks, but I would prefer something natural rather than pharmaceutical. I remembered my friend from Mexico brought me a bottle of Stresstabs (basically just vitamins) which I am going to start taking tonight, but I called the spa across the street from my house for an emergency reflexology treatment to calm me down. here's what their website says that made me want to try this instead of a massage (because a massage never truly relaxes me or destresses me enough, I am just too uptight) During a reflexology session, finger and thumb techniques are used to simulate the experience of walking barefoot in nature. Reflexology promotes deep relaxation, clarity of mind, and a sense of well-being. A session assists with: * Digestive ailments/Hormonal imbalance * Structural pain * Attention deficit disorders * Headache/Migraine * Sleeping disorders * Releasing emotional tension * Strengthening the immune system anybody ever get reflexology treatments before? what's your experience been? they were able to fit me in at 6 pm tomorrow so I am already starting to feel relieved that relief is coming (if that makes ANY sense...)

Invitations in mail when? Register when?
Maura replied to Jacqueline's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
danielle, the great thing about BB&B is that they give you cash for any returns you make, not put it on a gift card like most other places -
thanks for the suggestions about mpix -- we were definitely planning to do that for printing pro pics for framing on our own and probably for a nice coffee table book for our home. my primary use of the photoshare account is to share with my guests and get all their photos, and so they can have decent but cheap prints if they want to order them, in addition to using the service for making photobooks for our families.

i use a foundation brush. it makes things easier to blend it naturally and it never looks like i get a ring around my face like when i use my fingers or a sponge.

i agree with you morgan - i dislike that shutterfly has no option for high res, because that's really important to me - a few of our guests, my dad included, will be shooting with professional grade digital cameras, so theirs will probably the only guest images i will actually want to use for photobooks and stuff, but i also want to be able to put my high res pro pics on there for people to download or order prints of. i've looked into kodak and their choices are so minimal when it comes to photobooks that even though you have to pay per high res download with snapfish, the variety of snapfish's options are more appealing to me than the $25 download all the high-res you want (since i can get my dad's high res images on disc directly from him and wont need to download his, im guessing a majority of his shots will be the nicest of the guest photos).

a couple things, and thanks for your thoughtful responses thus far, ladies. this is helpful. 1) i dont intend at all to use snapfish or shutterfly as a substitute for posting pics on the forum. i solely intend to continue using photobucket for that. the only reason we are signing up for snapfish and/or shutterfly is for the sole purpose of the wedding guests being able to share photos with us and so i can ultimately use whatever of those pics i want to create photobooks and other items as gifts, my christmas cards, etc. 2) price is not an issue. i dont mind paying full price. i just want the highest quality item, so whichever service's item is higher quality, is the one i'd prefer to go with. i am in the process of going through each website (snapfish AND shutterfly) and compiling a comparison document of the features i care about. ill post it when i am finished so you can see. UPDATE: Morgan thank you for the list of pros & cons - this is EXACTLY the kind of info i am looking for. has anyone ordered products from kodak?

sorry but your mom needs to grow a pair - if she already was sent an invitation, youre shit out of luck about her coming to the wedding. second, your mom needs to tell her that she & your dad are taking a private vacation after the wedding JUST THE TWO OF THEM to celebrate their anniversary, end of story. your mom will not be available at all to spend time with anne.

Finalized Guest List...Oops...
Maura replied to kerryjbrown's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
we invited 100 from the US and i got conned into letting my FMIL send out close to 200 invitations in mexico - she assured me no more than 30 people would come, because i didnt want more than 50 guests because i have anxiety issues, and guess what? we already have 52 guests confirmed as booked, and have not even come close to finishing counting up the RSVPs from mexico. we are going to end up having somewhere around 100 guests. -
BDW Biggest Loser 3 SIGN-UPS! **DEADLINE TODAY!!**
Maura replied to Maura's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
i like that idea alyssa, if you skip two weeks or more without having a legit excuse (and i dont necessarily think they need to be two consecutive weeks) then you can still participate, but you are not eligible to win the pot. i think that is good motivation for people to do it every week on time. legit excuses for missing a weigh in would be: --your wedding falls in the middle of the contest and you'll be gone for 2 weeks --you are on a business trip with no access to a scale or camera, or your own computer --you have a family emergency and are unable to weigh-in and send a pic non-legit excuses would be: --oops i forgot --i didnt feel like it this week because i gained, but i'd rather resend the photo from last week saying i stayed the same (yes someone actually did this, i am not going to say who) --sending the weight number in an email without a photo - we don't record the number until we see the pic etc -
oh barrie you looked fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cant wait to hear your review!!!!! i am dying, my wedding is one month from tomorrow, so i am wanting to hear everything i possibly can right now because im starting in that freak out mode where i am second guessing all my decisions. krista, my planner is maira gallegos.

BDW Biggest Loser 3 SIGN-UPS! **DEADLINE TODAY!!**
Maura replied to Maura's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
guys you dont have to apologize for slacking last time... there were at least 10 people who skipped multiple weeks in a row. the way ann's spreadsheet is set up, it wont calc your % numbers if you miss multiple weeks, so we had to put in a bogus number (the same number as the last week you reported) until you gave the next real number, so i dont really think it's fair to let people stay in who skip multiple weeks (again, except if their wedding falls during the 8 weeks) because their calculations are NOT accurate, KWIM? -
i think i have hit an all time wedding freak out high. i was on the phone with my dad today and he told me "quit tweaking. you need to smoke a joint or something to calm down."

barrie, if youre having trouble posting pics, just post the link to an online album.

AngItalia23's Wedding Review w/ pics *LONG*

Hey ladies, I was reading through all the photoshare threads earlier today to try to get a better sense of which site to use for our photoshare since I'm about to design our welcome packets. One of the major things involved in my decision is the quality of the photobooks on each site, because we plan on making nice photo albums for several family members who can't attend as well as gifts for our parents, and as extra thank you gifts (like an 8x8 size for each of my BMs afterwards). I've never ordered a photobook from either of the services and I can't find a whole lot of info posted on the photobooks (except that Morgan loves shutterfly LOL). I want my guests to be able to upload their high-res images so that I can use those in the books too if any of them are good enough. I really also like the iPhoto books through mac.com and a friend of mine recently did a nice hardcover book with a dustjacket through blurb.com, but neither of those doubles as a photo host, so I'd prefer having an all-in-one type situation where people can upload photos (we will also put our pro pics on the site) and then have photobooks made if they like (but also so it's easier for us to have all the photos in one spot for when WE make our photobooks). Anybody wanna chime in with your experience on why you picked one over the other, or what your experiences have been ordering books from each of them? TIA!

About to book my DJ...Should I book DJ Ricardo?
Maura replied to salomeh's topic in Cabo Wedding Vendors
book him! that is the one vendor i wish we booked, but i let my FI pick and he decided on another vendor instead who was a little cheaper. i totally regret letting my FI pick now, because i really would have preferred DJ Ricardo. he was always very professional and courteous via email, and always was quick to answer questions we had when we were interviewing DJs.
